(p. 1307) sarasamu sa-rasamu. [Skt.] adj. Juicy, tasty. Sapid, soft. Good, virtuous. Charming, agreeable, pleasant, elegant, sweet. Jocose, funny, merry. Easy, cheap. రసయుక్తమైన, సుస్వాదువైన, అందమైన, మనోహరమైన, పరిహాసమైన, లలితమైన; చవుకైన. సరసోక్తి a jocose; amusing or agreeable expression. n. A joke, jest, fun, merriment, amusement, sweetness, pleasantry. Cheapness. పరిహాసము, ఉల్లాసము, వినోదము, సారస్యము; చవుక. సరసమాడు to make jokes, to jest. సరిసమాడవద్దు do not jest. సరసము విరసమవును a jest may turn to a strife. సరససల్లాపము jocose talk. ఇప్పుడు బంగారు సరసముగానున్నది now gold is cheap. చెయ్యి సరసము bear's play, a scuffle. 'సరసోరుకాండముల్ సౌకర్యమేపార.' Ila. i. 2. సరసత sa-rasasa. n. Delicacy, taste, sweetness, elegance, brilliancy of thought, beauty of composition. మాధుర్యము, సారస్యము, లాలిత్యము. ఆ సద్యముయొక్క సరసత the sweetness of the verse. 'మేఘరాజులు సరసతమీర దమ్ము సరళవిద్యుల్లతాదీర్ఘతరకటాక్ష.' R. vi. 9. సరసత, అనగా సజలత్వము, లాలిత్యము. సరసముగా sa-rasamu-gā. adv. Jocosely, in joke, humorously. Sweetly, merrily. Cheaply. పరిహాసముగా, సారస్యముగా, ఉల్లాసముగా, చవుకగా. వెల సరసముగానుండినందున as the price was low. సరసయతి sa-rasayati. n. A rhyme not quite precise, but elegant. 'అయహలు చఛజఝశషసలు, నయసన్నుతవళ్లురేచనాపురుషగాన, ప్రియయివియొండొంటికిని, శ్చయముగవళులయ్యె.' Bhima. 71. సరసుడు sa-rasuḍu. n. A gentleman, a man of good taste, an amiable or well behaved man; one easy of access, రసికుడు. సరసురాలు sa-rasu-r-āalu. n. A lady, a woman of elegant manners. రసికురాలు.

(p. 1322) sādhiñcu sādhinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To achieve, accomplish, effect, master, overcome, conquer. నెరవేర్చు, సమకూర్చు. v. n. To persist in saying, insist upon, affirm. కార్యము సాధించు to obtain a thing by perseverance. 'ముక్తి సాధింపగలరు.' Vema. 866. ఆ సొమ్మును చెల్లించినాడని సాధిస్తున్నారు they affirm that he paid the money. ఆ యడవిని సాధించిరి they subdued the jungle. సలము (or పగ) సాధించినాడు he wreaked his malice. See సాధకము and సాధనము. వాడు లేదని సాధించినాడు he persistently denied the fact. ఆ అమ్మకము జరగలేదని సాధిస్తాడు he makes it out that the sale never took place. సాధు or సాధువు sādhu. adj. Tame, docile, tractable, gentle, good, not vicious. Pleasing, right, correct, fit, proper. Excellent, eminent. దుష్టుడుకాని, సాత్వికమైన, మనోహరమైన, ఉత్తమమైన, సుబద్ధమైన, మంచి, చక్కని, సాధువైనఆవు a quiet cow. సాధువు sāḍhuvu. n. A good, meek, harmless or gentle person, a good natured or virtuous man, a saint. సాత్వికుడు. మంచివాడు, తిన్ననివాడు. 'సాధులగు పేదవారికి నెగ్గుల్.' M. I. i. 130. సాధ్యము sādhyamu. adj. Possible, attainable, practicable, tractable. సాధింపదగిన. n. The twenty second astronomical Yoga. గ్రహ యోగములలో నొకటి సాధ్యానుస్వారము sādhy-ānusvāramu. n. The changeable sunna (n) which may be inserted according to circumstances, as in అల్లుడు, అల్లుండు, అతడు, అతండు. సాధ్యుడు sādhyuḍu. n. One who is easy, docile, gentle or reasonable. సాధింపదగినవాడు, సులభుడు, మెత్తనివాడు. వీడు సాధ్యుడు వారు అసాధ్యులు he may be mastered but they cannot be mastered. The cord is bound on the neck of the bride with a blessing that runs as follows, 'మాంగల్యతంతునానేన మమజీవన హేతునా కమఠేబధ్నామి సుభగే త)యంజీవశరదాంశతం.' సుభగము su-bhagamu. adj. Pleasing, gratifying to the eye, beautiful, charming. Beloved, dear; fortunate, auspicious. నేత్రోత్సవమైన, మనోహరమైన, శుభమైన, శోభనమైన. సుభగత su-bhaga-ta. n.
