(p. 20) akramamu a-kramamu. [Skt.] n. Want of order. Irregularity. Wickedness, crime, క్రమభంగము, దుర్మార్గము, నేరము, దుష్కార్యము, అక్రమము adj. Irregular, disorderly, wicked, unjust. క్రమభంగమైన, దుష్ట, దుర్మార్గమైన, అన్యాయమైన. నన్ను గురించి అక్రమముగా మాట్లాడినాడు he railed at me. ఆ రూకలను అక్రమముగా ప్రయముచేసినాడు he wasted the money.

(p. 52) ani ani. [Tel.] (Past p|| of అను to say) Having said. This is translated by the word 'That' or 'so' or the infinitive mood is used, as వారు అక్కడ ఉండినారని అన్నాడు he told me that they were there. అవతల వెళ్లరాదని తిరిగీ వస్తిమి we did not think it right to go on and returned; we thought we must not go further; so we came back. నన్ను పొమ్మని చెప్పెను he told me to go. తన సొమ్మని యెంచి considering it his own. దాన్ని నాకని కొన్నాడు he bought it for me. కావలెనని అక్కడికి పోయినాడు he went there on purpose. పండ్లను పటపటమని కొరికినాడు he gnashed his teeth. ఘమ్మని fragrantly. తళుక్కని brilliantly. గడగడమని మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke rapidly. ఈగలు జుమ్మని ముసురు కొన్నవి the flies covered it buzzingly. నీవు ఈ శాలువ కప్పుకొంటే గుమ్మని ఉండును if you wear this shawl it feels warm: or, you will feel warm.

(p. 183) eccu or హెచ్చు eṭṭsu. [Tel.] n. & adj. Much. అధికము: అధికమైన. ఎచ్ఛుతగ్గులుగా eṭṭsu-taggulu-gā. adv. Insolently. నన్ను ఎచ్చుతగ్గులుగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke to me scornfully.

(p. 221) aucityamu auchityamu. [Skt from ఉచితము.] n. Fitness, suitability, propriety. యోగ్యత. ఔచిత్యమెరిగి మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke appropriately. అనౌచిత్యప్రసంగము an inappropriate remark.

(p. 751) piṇḍu pinḍu. [Tel.] v. a. To press out, squeeze, wring. రసము పిడుచు. To milk. పాలుపితుకు. అతడు పిండినపాలు పిండినట్టే మాట్లాడినాడు he is no hypocrite, he speaks the simple truth.

(p. 866) badda or బ్రద్ద badda. [Tel.] n. A piece, bit, fragment, slice, a flat thin bit, split wood. చీలిక, తునక. దూదేకులబద్ద a cotton beater's show. ఈ భాష మహాకష్టమని బద్దలుకట్టుతారు they figure this language as very difficult. బద్దలుకట్టి మాట్లాడినాడు he arranged his arguments to much advantage. కావటిబద్ద the wooden part of a yoke (కావడి.) See బద్దె. బద్ద or బ్రద్ద adj. Lean, lank. పలచని. 'బద్దపిక్కలనంటిబలసిన తొడలు.' HD. ii. 1087. 'పాచిపట్టినపండ్లు బద్దచేతులును.' BD. iii. 558. బద్దలగు badda-l-agu. v. n. To break in pieces, to go to shivers, to crack.

(p. 995) mukku or ముకు mukku. [Tel.] n. The nose. నాసిక. The bill or beak of a bird, పక్షిముఖము. The point or tip. చనుముక్కు a nipple. ముక్కు౛ోడనలు a double nose. ౛మిలిముక్కు. 'మునవనల్ దమిబట్టి ముంగాళ్ల ముక్కుజోడనలచీలిచి.' A. v. 122. ముక్కుడుస్సిన uncurbed, broken loose, rampant, ముక్కుతాడుతీసిన. 'వసుధేశముక్కుడుస్సిన పసరముక్రియ.' A. vi. 53. ముక్కుబంటి యైనదనుక satiating his nostrils with fragrance to the full. P. iii. 224. చిలుకముక్కులు and జీనువముక్కులు two sorts of grain. రెండుముక్కులపిట్ట (the double beaked bird) also called మూడు ముక్కలపిక్క and ఎబ్బెరపిక్క the Hornbill, or Toucan. Jerdon. No. 198. 'ముండగోష్ఠికి ముక్కు మొగమేడతనకు.' HD. ii. 1059. ముక్కు మొగము ఎగనట్టు మాట్లాడినాడు he talked as if I was a perfect stranger to him. ముక్కుపట్టనిముత్తెము a pearl not suited to the nose, i.e., a round man in a square hole. ముక్కుకమ్మిక a certain useless forest tree. ముక్కు mukku. v. n. To moan, groan. To mould or turn musty. To spoil or become half rotten. To strain or press, (as in pain.) ముక్క mukka. (Root in A of ముక్కు to be musty or mouldy, &c.) ముక్కపురుగులు weevils in spoilt grain, తవుటిపురుగులు. ముక్కకంపు a frowzy smell. తర్వాత తొండూరిగ్రామము ముక్క ఉరికినందున ఆ నెత్తము విరిచిరి a disease has appeared which is peculiar to that place. ముత్యాలు ముక్కిపోయినవి the pearls were spoiled. ముక్కుగోళ్లు, ముకుగోళ్లు, ముకుగ్రోళ్లు, ముక్కు జెరములు, ముక్కుచెరములు or ముక్కురంధ్రములు mukkugōḷḷu. n. plu. The nostrils. నాసాపుటములు. ముక్కుత్రాడు or ముకుత్రాడు a nose-rope used for curbing oxen. ముక్కుదొమ్మ or ముకుదొమ్మ mukku-domma. n. A sort of fish. H. iv. 225. ముక్కద్దము mukk-addamu. n. A pair of spectacles, సులోచనము, కంటిఅద్ధము. ముక్కమ్మి or ముక్కుకమ్మి muk-kammi. (ముక్కు + కమ్మి.) or ముక్కర mukka-ra. (ముక్కు + రాయి.) n. A nose ring. నాసాభరణము. ముక్కరమాను mukkara-mānu. n. The frame in which the roller (పుల్లిరుసు) of a కపిల well rolls. ముక్కరము muk-ka-ramu. (ముక్కు + కారెము.) n. A nostril, నాసికారంధ్రము. ముక్కిడి mukkiḍi (ముక్కు + ఇడి) adj. Noseless. ముక్కులేని. ముక్కిడిరోగము caries of the bones of the nose. 'ముక్కిడి తొత్తుకు ముత్తెంపునత్తేల.' రామలింగశతకము. ముక్కిడి or కొండముక్కిడి. n. A certain large tree, Schrebera swietenoides. Rox. i. 109. ముక్కుదూలము or ముకుదూలము mukku-dūlam. n. The bridge or division of the nose. ముక్కునడిమియెముక. ముక్కుపురిడి or ముక్కుపూరేడుపిట్ట mukku-puriḍi. n. The common snipe. (Jerdon.) ఒకపక్షి. ముక్కుపొడి mukku-poḍi. n. Snuff. నస్యము, పొడుము. ముక్కుపోగు mukku-pōgu. n. A nose ring, ముక్కుమ్మి, నత్తు, ముక్కుబంతి or ముకుబంతి mukku-banti. n. A disease that attacks the nose of a cow through cold. ముక్కుముంగర mukku-mungara. n. A certain useless forest tree. ముక్కులు mukkulu. n. Rice flour. మిక్కిలి చిన్ననూకలు. A kind of cake.

(p. 996) mukhamu mukhamu. [Skt.] n. The mouth, నోరు. The face, countenance, మొగము. The commencement, ఆరంభము. The front, ముందటిభాగము. The external appearance, the look of the face, ముఖవిలాసము. నిశాముఖము nightfall, evening. సేనాముఖము the front of the army. నఖముఖములు the points of the nails. ముఖమిచ్చు to indulge. అతడు వారితో ముఖమిచ్చి మాట్లాడలేదు he did not speak with them as a friend. 'బల్దూరంబైన శ్మశానవాటి ముఖమాలోకింపగన్.' Bilh. iii. 25. అధోముఖుడుగానుండినాడు he was hanging with his head down. ఆ దివిటీని అధోముఖముగాపట్టినాడు he held the torch with the flaming end downwards. 'అనుఘకథాముఖంబున హితాహిత బోధమొనర్తురింపుగా.' Mand. i. 8. టీ కాథా ముఖంబున by means of a story, కథచేతను అర్ధముఖము the profile or half face. తమరు రామునిముఖముచూచి నన్ను రక్షింపవలసినది I pray that for the sake of Rama you will relieve me. పడమటిముఖముగా towards the west. పడమటిముఖముగా నుండే యిల్లు a house facing the west. ఆడదానిముఖమెరుగనివాడు a youth that as yet knows not the face of a woman, i.e., entirely chaste. అందరును ఏకముఖముగా నుండలేదుగనుక as they were not unanimous or were not all of one mind. 'బాణకృపాణముఖాస్త్ర శస్త్రములు,' M. VII. ii. 275; arrows, swords, and other weapons. ముఖముమాడ్చుకొనినాడు he looked sulky or angry. వానికి ముఖము చచ్చినది he turned pale, he looked blank or ashamed. ముఖదాక్షిణ్యము complaisance. వానిముఖములో ఈగ ఆడలేదు he was all in a pucker. ఆ రూకలను వాని ముఖముమిద పారవేయుము fling the money at his face. అది వానికి ముఖపాఠముగానున్నది he has got it by heart. వాడు ముఖప్రితి మాటలాడును he talks plausibly. ముఖమెరుగనివాడు a stranger. ముఖమెరుగనిదేశము a strange land, a land where one has no acquaintance. ముఖవాసికలవాడు he is a winning man. వానికి ముఖవశ్యముకద్దు he is a very taking man. ముఖము తప్పించుకొనిపోయినాడు he has absconded or disappeared. ముఖస్తుతి flattery. ముఖస్తుతిచేయు to flatter. వాని కాశ్లోకము ముఖస్థముగానున్నది he knows the verse by heart. ముఖద్వారము mukhadvāramu. n. The mouth. నోరు. నదీముఖద్వారము the mouth of a river. ముఖపట్ట or మొగపట్టా mukha-paṭṭa. n. The headstall of a horse, గుర్రము యొక్క ముఖమునకువేసే తోలుపట్టా. ముఖమంటపము mukha-manṭapamu. n. The porch or pillared entrance of a Hindu temple. మందరిమండపము. ముఖవచనము mukha-vachanamu. n. Verbal communication, word of mouth. నోటిమాట. ముఖవస్త్రము mukha-vastramu. n. A veil. A pall, ప్రేతవస్త్రము. ముఖశాల or మొగసాల mukha-sāla. n. A hall at the entrance of a house, an antechamber, తల వాకిటిచావడి. ముఖాంతరముగా mukh-āntaramu-gā. adv. By means of, through, ద్వారా. నా తమ్ముని ముఖాంతరముగా పంపించినాను I sent it by my brother. ముఖాముఖి mukhā-mukhi. adv. Face to face. ఎదురెదురుగా. 'వినుముఖాముఖిబల్కెద.' T. iii. 84. ముఖుడు mukhudu. n. A word used in compounds, thus అధోముఖుడై hanging with his face down. సుముఖుడుగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke graciously. దుర్ముఖుడైయుండినాడు he was cross. పరాఙ్ముఖుడైయుండెను he turned his face away.

(p. 1068) rasamu rasamu. [Skt.] n. Juice, fluid, liquid, extract, essence. Taste, flavour, రుచి. Taste, sentiment, emotion, passion, affection, humour. Quicksilver, పాదరసము. The షడ్రసములు or six flavours are మధురము or తీసి sweet; ఆమ్లము or పులుసు sour; తిక్తము or వగరు astringent; లవణము or ఉప్పు salt; కటువు or కారము pungent; కషాయము or చేదు bitter. రసఖండమైనభూమి or రసవత్తైనభూమి strong soil, which is not exhausted. నీరసమైనభూమి land that is exhausted. కోపరసము the spirit of wrath. దయారసము the spirit of love, kind feelings. ఈ పద్యములో రసములేదు this is a tasteless verse. విరసమైనమాటలు rude language. The nine రసములు or humours produce the following స్థాయీభావములు (symptoms.) 1. శృంగారరసము (love) produces రతి enjoyement. 2. నీరసము (honour) produces ఉత్సాహము daring. 3. కరుణారసము (mercy) begets విస్మయము marvel. 5. హాస్యరసము (merriment) produces హాస్యభావము laughter. 6. భయానకరసము (timidity) leads to భయము fright. 7. బీభత్సరసము (austerity) begets జుగుప్స sarcasm. 8. రౌద్రరసము (wrath) leads to క్రోధము cruelty. 9. శాంతరసము. (gentleness) produces శమభావము calmness. రసకర్పూరము rasa-karpūramu. n. A white sublimate or muriate of mercury, కర్పూరరసము. రసగుండు rasa-gunḍu. n. A ball coated with quicksilver, రసముపూరినగుండు. రసజ్ఞు rasa-gnya. n. The tongue, నాలుక. రజజ్ఞత rasa-gnyata. n. Skill, judgement, taste, critical discernment, తెలివి. రసజ్ఞుడు rasa-gnyuḍu. n. A man of taste, a critic. గుణదోషములనెరిగినవాడు. రసదాడి or రసదాళి rasa-dāḍi. n. Sugar cane. చెరుకు. 'మమధురస్థూలదాడిమబీజములతోడ, దసరారురసదాడిగనెలతోడ.' A. ii. 85. A fine sort of plantain. అరటిలో భేదము. రసదాళిక rusa-dāḷika. n. A kind of sugar, చెరుకుదినుసు. రసన rasana. n. The tongue., నాలుక. రసనేంద్రియము rasan-ēndriyamu. n. The sense of taste. రసవతి rasa-vati. n. A kitchen. వంటఇల్లు. రసవర్గములు rasa-vargamulu. n. plu. The various condiments or ingredients such as salt, pepper, &c. సంబారములు. రసవాదము rasa-vādamu. n. Alchemy, chemistry, పాదరసమునుకట్టి బంగారుచేయువిద్య. రసవాది rasa-vādi. n. An alchemist, a chemist, రసమునుకట్టి బంగారుచేయువాడు. రససిందూరము rasa-sindūramu. n. A sort of factitious cinnabar, made with zinc, mercury, blue vitriol and nitre, ఔషధవిశేషము. రససిద్ధి rasa-siddhi. n. Alchemy, రసవాదము. 'ధమనీయఖంబున గ్రాలించిమెరుంగుపసిడి గనెరససిద్దిన్.' R. vi. 10. రసాంజనము a kind of collyrium. అంజనవిశేషము. రసాతలము rasā-talamu. n. A name of Hades. పాతాళలోకము. రసాభాసము ras-ābhāsamu. n. Bad taste, inelegance. adj. Disagreeable, disgusting. విరసమైన. ఆ శ్లోకమును దిద్ది రసాబాసము చేసినాడు in correcting the verse he has spoiled it, he showed bad taste in correcting it. రసాభాసముగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke coarsely. ఆయిల్లు నిండా రసాభాసముగా నున్నది that house is very disagreeable. ఊరేగుచుండగా వాన వచ్చి అంతా రసాభాసమైపోయినది when the marriage procession was going on, there was a shower and everything was upset. రసాయనము ras-āyanamu. n. A panacea, a medicine preventing old age and prolonging life, జరావ్యాధిహరౌషధము. Butter milk, sweet curds, గోరసము, చల్ల. Poison, విషము. 'తననచో మాధుర్యమెనయు నా యివి చూడుమన్నట్లు మేలిరసాయనములు, ఒప్పుగా గిన్నియలనుంచి యపచరించి.' T. iii. 18. టీ రసాయనములు, తీసిగలిగిన పదార్థములు. రసాల rasāla. n. A pudding or mess of curds, mixed up with sugar and spices. పెరుగులో ననేక ద్రవ్యములు వేసి చేసినది. రసాలము rasālamu. n. The sugar cane, చెరుకు. Also, the sweet mango tree, తియ్యమామిడి చెట్టు. రసావళ్లు ras-āvaḷḷu. n. A kind of cakes. 'తన యింటనప్పుడాయితమొనరించినకమ్మదావు లొలుకురసావళ్లునుమినుపవడలు జాపట్లునుగోదుమ పిండివంటలున్ గలవనినన్.' Vish. iii. 377. రసి or రసిక rasi. [Tel.] n. The pus, or matter of a sore, serum. పుంటిచీము. రసిక rasika. [Skt.] n. A woman of taste. రసికురాలు. రసికత or రసికత్వము rasikata. [Skt.] n. Good taste or judgement. రసజ్ఞత. రసికుడు rasikuḍu. A man of taste. శృంగారాదిరసములను గ్రహించువాడు, రసజ్ఞుడు. రసితము rasi-tamu. n. Sound noise, thunder. ధ్వని, ఉరుము.

(p. 1194) viṣayamu vishyamu. [Skt.] n. An object, matter, subject, affair, thing. Any peculiarity as colour, form, flavour, odour, sound. Definition, respect, relation. అంశము, సంగతి. ఇంద్రియార్థము, శబ్దాదిపంచ భూతగుణము. 'విషయములబొరలి రోయక విషమంటినగతిని జూచువిధమున ధరలో విషసమమాయా సుఖములవిషయములన్ గూడకుండ్రునేత్తలు.' Vema. 499. ఆ విషయము నాకు తెలియదు I do not know anything about it. ఈ విషయములో నిండాసొమ్ము వ్యయముచేసినాడు he spent much money on this. సద్విషయములలో తనసొమ్ము వ్యయము చేసినాడు he spent his money on worthy objects. శృంగారవిషయమైన కావ్యము a poem on amorous subjects. ఈ విషయమందు in this respect. ఆ విషయమందు in that respect. అతని విషయమందు regarding him. ఆ విషయమై regarding that subject. ఏతద్విషయముగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke regarding this. మీ విషయములో regarding you. విషయి vishayi. n. An organ of sense. నేత్రాదియింద్రియము. A man of the world, one who is conversant with or interested in worldly occupations or enjoyments. లోకవ్యవహారవ్యక్తుడు, సంసారమగ్నుడు, సంసారికుడు. విషయించు visha-yinṭsu. v. n. To have to do with carnally. సంభోగముచేయు. విషయీకరించు visha-yī-karinṭsu. v. a. To aim at. ఉద్దేశించు.

(p. 1309) sari sari. [from Skt. సదృశః.] n. The end. అంతము. Similarity, likeness. సామ్యము, సమానము, సమము. Propriety, fitness, యుక్తము. [From Skt. సరః.] n. A garland, wreath. హారము. See also సరియ. ఆ వంశము ఇతనతో సరి that family terminates with him. సరిలేని మాణిక్యము a matchless gem. పెలసరికి at the end of the month. నెలసరికి up to that day. నీకు నాకు సరి there is an end of everything between us. సరికాని వారు those who are not equals. 'సరికాని వారితో సరసమాడెడువాని.' (Kālahas. §. 66.) he who takes liberties with such as are not his equals. సరికానిపని improper behaviour or conduct. సరికిసరి tit for tat. గోధుములు బియ్యానికి గోధుములు బియ్యానికి సరికిసరి ఇస్తారు they barter wheat for an equal quantity of rice.సరికిసరి చేసినాడు he repaid them according to what they had done. సరి. adj. Equal, like. సమము, ఈడైన. Just, right, proper, fit, correct, suitable, యుక్తమైన, తగిన, Corresponding to. Even, level, not odd, మిట్టపల్లములులేని. Ended, finished, సమాప్తము. అతనికి సరిలేడు he has no equal. రాత్రి అయినా సరే పగలు అయినా సరే be it day or be it night. ఇది సరికాదు this is not right. ఈ ఉత్సవము నేటితో సరి this feast is finished with this day. adv. Equally. సమానముగా, సరిగా. Fully, పూర్ణముగా. 'జలధి తోజలధియు సరిబోరుకరణి.' DRY. 2224. 'సరిబల్కుమని యదల్చు.' T. iii. 143. సరి (interj.) Well! Yes! very well! very good! Aha! Aha! Oh! బాగాయె; అంగీకారార్థము. సరికట్టు sari-kaṭṭu. v. n. To be equal or similar. దృష్టాంమగు. v. a. To attempt, యత్నించు. See సరిపడు below. సరికడచు sari-kaḍaṭsu. v. n. To exceed, excel. ముందుమించు, మీరు, అతిక్రమించు. సరిగా sari-gā. adv. Equally, abreast, properly, rightly, correctly, in good order, completely, fully. సమముగా, ౛తగా, ౛ోడుగా, యుక్తముగా, న్యాయముగా, క్రమముగా, సంపూర్ణముగా, ఆ రెండు పల్లకీలు సరిగా వచ్చుచుండెను the two palanquins were coming on abreast. సరిగెఅల్పులు sari-gelpulu. n. To equalize, క్రమపరచు, వంకర లేకుండా చేయు, మిట్టపల్లములు లేకుండా చేయు, ముగించు, సమానము చేయు. To ruin, నాశముచేయు, సరిచూచు sari-ṭsūṭsu. v. a. To be finished or terminated. To be expended, spent. To be ruined, or destroyed, అయిపోవు, వ్యయమైపోవు, నశించు. To be reconciled, సమాధానమగు. A. vi. 90. నోటికి సరిపోయినట్టు మాట్లాడినాడు he said everything that came to his tongue. అవి నీకు సరిపోతవవి these will suit you. నీవు తిట్టినదానికిని నేను కొట్టినదానికని సరిపోయినవి the blows I have given are a fair payment for your abuse. ఆ బియ్యము ఆ తపేలాకు సరిపోయినవి the rice was just enough to fill the vessel. సరిపొద్దు or సరిప్రొద్దు sari-poddu. n. Midnight, అర్థరాత్రి. P. iii. 45. సరిబిత్తరము sari-bittaramu. n. A kind of wrestling. మల్ల బంధవిశేషము. సరిబేసులు sari-bēsulu. n. A kind of game played by boys, పిల్లకాయలు ఆడే ఒక ఆట. 'గుళ్లుదాగుడుముచ్చిళ్లు గోలిపెట్టెలేలపాటలు, సరిబేసు లీలకూతలాదిగాశైశవక్రీడలాడి.' Vish. vii. 212. సరియగు sari-y-agu. v. n. To become equal, సమానమగు, to be destroyed, నశించు. సరియైన sari-y-aina. adj. Equal, like; just, right, proper, fit. Corresponding to. Level, straight; even, not odd. సమమైన, యుక్తమైన, తగిన, నూటియైన, ఈడైన, అవిషయమైన, మిట్టపల్లములు లేని. సరిలేని sari-lēni. adj. Matchless, unequalled. అసమానమైన. సరివచ్చు sari-vatstsu. v. n. To match, be alike, సమానమగు. సరిసమానము sari-samānamu. (a pleonasm.) n. (p. 1316) sahāyamu sahāyamu. [Skt.] adj. Auxiliary. ఉపబలమైన. సహాయము, సహాయత or సహాయ్యము n. Aid, help, assistance, succour, తోడు. నాకు దోవలో సహాయము చిక్కలేదు I had no assistance on the way. సహాయము చేయు to aid, to assist. సహాయముగా sahāyamu-gā. adv. As an assistant, as an aid, in assistance, తోడుగా, అనుకూలముగా. నాకు సహాయముగా వచ్చినాడు he accompanied me to help me. నాకు సహాయముగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke in my favour. అతనికి సహాయముగా వచ్చినవారు those who came to support him. సహాయుడు sahāyuḍu. n. An assistant, helper, companion, ally, associate, friend. అనుకూలుడు, తోడైనవాడు, స్నేహితుడు.

(p. 1392) heccu or ఎచ్చు heṭsṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To increase, grow, multiply, ఆధిక్యము. 'అరవిందములగచ్చలడగించు జిగిహెచ్చు.' Swa. vi. 107. హెచ్చరించు or ఎచ్చరించు heṭstsar-inṭsu. v. a. To encourage, hint at, allude to, advert to, call to memory, warn, సూచనచేయు. హెచ్చరిక or ఎచ్చరిక heṭsṭsar-ika. n. A hint, intimation, precuation, warning, arousing, encouragement. సూచన, జాగ్రత్త. Joy, సంతోషము. 'కుబేరశంకరుల్ సరసనుగొల్వ మ్రొక్కులిడ స్వామి పరాకవధారుదేవ, హెచ్చరికయటంచు కంచుకులు.' N. i. 177. హెచ్చరిల్లు or ఎచ్చరిలు heṭsṭsar-illu. v. n. To increase, grow, improve. అభిపృద్ధినొందు To be encouraged, to beware, to be on the alert. ఎచ్చరిక కలిగియుండు. 'ఏ యుపాయంబు చేసైన సెచ్చరిలగనీక రాక్షసకులము రమేశ్వరుండు తునుముననుశంక.' KP. vi. 26. హెచ్చించు hechch-inṭsu. v. a. To increase, augment, multiply, అధికముచేయు. హెచ్చిల్లు, హెచ్చిలు or ఎచ్చిలు hechch-illu. v. n. To augment, increase, multiply, అధికమగు. హెచ్చు, హెచ్చిన or ఎచ్చిన heṭsṭsu. adj. Exceeding, much, more, excessive, great, superior. అధికమైన, వెలపొడుగైన.' హెచ్చినమైత్రి.' A. iv. 187. నన్ను హెచ్చుతక్కువలుగా మాట్లాడినాడు he reviled me. హెచ్చుతగ్గులుగానుండే భూమి uneven ground, land that is up and down. హెచ్చుగ or హెచ్చుగా heṭsṭsu-ga. adv. Much, more, greatly. అధికముగా. 'వజ్రముల్ పగడాలు తూములన్ హెచ్చుగగొల్తు రెప్పుడు.' T. ii. 19.
