(p. 245) kabaḷamu kabaḷamu. [Skt.] n. A mouthful, a bolus. వాని నోరు మూయడమునకు ఒక కబళము వేసిరి they gave him a sop to make him hold his tongue. కబళించు kabaḷinṭsu. v. a. To swallow, devour. To snatch, seize. To pervade (as sparks or flashes do the sky.) మింగు, పట్టుకొను, వ్యాపించు.

(p. 247) kamucu kamuṭsu. [Tel.] v. t. To take. పట్టుకొను, గ్రహించు. To swallow మింగు.

(p. 293) kutila kutila. [Tel.] n. Pain. బాధ. కుతిల గుడుచు or కుతిలపడు kutila-guḍuṭsu. v. n. To suffer. బాధపడు. To sob గుటకలు మింగు. 'విమనృపాలక యూళ్లవెంబడి దీవర గుళ్లపంచలలజేరి కుతిలలగుడిచి యడిగి తెచ్చిన నీరసాన్నముల్ భజియించి.' N. Haris. iv. 202. కుతిలపెట్టు or కుతిలపరుచు kutila-pettu. v. n. To inflict suffering, to afflict. బాధపెట్టు. 'గీ అరాదకత్వ, దోషజాతమైనదురితబాహుళ్యంబు కుతిలపెట్టభూమియతలమునకు బవనెరిగికశ్యపుడు.' M. XII. ii. 99.

(p. 337) krōlu krōlu. [Tel.] v. a. To enjoy. అనుభవించు. To eat or to drink తిను, త్రాగు. To swallow మింగు. To take గ్రహించు. n. A tube. క్రోవి. క్రోలుచు or క్రోల్చు krōluṭsu. v. n. To cry. కూయు. To make a noise; to sound శబ్ధించు. To cause to eat, drink or enjoy క్రోలజేయు.

(p. 372) gukka or గ్రుక్క gukka. [Tel.] n. The act of drawing in the breath, a gulp, a mouthful. గుక్క తిరుగకుండా నవ్వెను he was in fits of laughter. గుక్కనిలుపు or గుక్క పట్టు to restrain the breath. గుక్కెడు gukkeḍu. n. A mouthful. గుక్కిలి or గ్రుక్కిలి gukkili. [Tel.] The apple of the throat, a gulp; గుక్కిళ్లు మింగినాడు he swallowed his saliva, i.e., restrained himself, hesitated.

(p. 373) guṭaka guṭaka. [Tel.] n. A single gulp. ఒక్కసారి మింగగలిగినంతది. గుటగుట guṭa-guṭa. adv. (Anuk of a growl, a growling sound.) Aloud. (Also of a gulping, bubbling, simmering sound) Rustingly, crashingly. 'బెబ్బులుల్ గుహలనిర్భీతి గూర్కుచుకానజిటుకన్న గుటగుటార్భటుల ' Suriya. iv. 60. గుటుకు గుటుక్కు or గుడుక్కు guṭuku. n. A gulp, a sob. గుటుక్కను or గుటుక్కుమను to sob, gulp: to die, expire. దాన్ని గుటుక్కునమింగెను he swallowed it at a gulp.

To swallow or devour. మింగు గ్రుక్కలుమింగు to desire. అపేక్షపడు; to hesitate సంకోచించు. గ్రుక్కిలి or గ్రుక్కిళ్లు grukkili. n. A gulp, swallowing, or deglutition. గ్రుక్కిళ్లు మింగు to sob, to lick the lips, expressive of desire. అపేక్షపడు; to hesitate సంకోచించు. గ్రుక్కుమిక్కను to open the mouth to speak మాటాడనోరెత్తు.

A doll house, or baby house. R. iii. 35. బొమ్మలాట bommal-āṭa. n. A puppet show, a show of puppets moved by springs. బొమ్మలాటవాడు bommal-āṭa-vāḍu. n. A puppet showman.

(p. 982) miṅgu or మ్రింగు mingu. [Tel.] v. a. To swallow, devour. కబళించు. గ్రుక్కిళ్లు మింగు to swallow one's saliva, to stand speechless, to smother one's grief: to water, as the mouth, అపేక్షించు. గ్రుక్కిళ్లు ఎందుకు మింగుతావు చెప్పు why do you falter so in speaking. 'కన్నపుదొంగలువచ్చిరె, మిన్నక యీలోనివారె మింగిరటంచున్.' Vaij. iv. 54. the people inside have devoured it. మింగనగొండి, మింగగొడ్డి or మ్రింగనగొండి minga-na-goṇḍi. n. A glutton. తిండిపోతు. 'మనసిజారియు మింగగొండియయ్యె.' BD. iv. 1281.

(p. 1022) metuku or మెదుకు metuku. [Tel.] n. A grain of boiled rice, food, a morsel. దానికి మెతుకుదిగదు she cannot eat a bit. మింగడానకు మెతుకులేదు మీసాలకుసంపంగి నూనె, i.e., he has fragrant oil for his whiskers while he has not a morsel to eat. రెండు మెతుకులుతిన్నారు they took a mouthful, they ate a morsel.

(p. 1050) mriṅgu Same as మింగు to swallow. మ్రింగుడు mringuḍu. n. The act of swallowing, కబళించుట. మ్రింగుడుపడు mringuḍu-paḍu. v. n. To be swallowed, కబళితమగు.
