Voc. sing అన్నా plu. అన్నలారాపెద్దన్న the eldest of the elder brothers. చిన్నన్న the younger of the elder brothers. అన్నదమ్ములు brothers (both elder and younger.)నీవు వానికి అన్నవే you are even worse than he is. ఇవి లేండ్లన్నలు, అనగా యివి లేండ్లను మించినవి these surpass stags in speed. అన్నా or అనన్న an interjection of grief of admiration, e. g., 'కారుకమ్ములన్ననకురుల్.'

(p. 103) astamayamu or అస్తమానము astamayamu. [Skt.] n. Sunset, evening. ప్రొద్దుక్రుంకడము. ఇసుక కమ్ముకొని లోకమంతా అస్తమానమైనట్టున్నది clouds of sand obscured the face of nature. అస్తమించు astamiṭsu. v. n. To surpass, excel; to transgress. అతిశయించు, అతిక్రమించు. చదువులోవారిని మించినాడు he surpassed them in learning. అతడు ముందు మించిపోయినాడు he is already gone on. మించిమాట్లాడకు do not talk rashly. పని మించిపోయినది it is now too late, the thing is gone by. చెయ్యిమించవద్దు do not lay a hand upon him, do not take the law into your own hands. ఇంతకుమించి యెరుగను I know nothing more than this. పెదవికి మించినపల్లు a projecting tooth, i.e., a scapegrace, a disobedient fellow, మించిమించియుంటే, లేక, మహా ఉంటే పదిరూపాయీలు ఉండవచ్చును at the utmost there may be ten rupees. ఆరూకలను మించ ఇచ్చివేసినాడు he had already paid the money. 'ఉత్తరంబుమించి యరిగిన' M. III. i. 2. when they first went northwards, ఉత్తరాదికి ముందుగా పోవునప్పటికి మించుకాలు the right leg, కుడికాలు. n. A kind of ring worn on the second toe, కాలిచుట్టు. (infl. of మీదు) adj. Very much, కడు మిక్కిలి.

(p. 1027) mēgu or మ్రేగు mēgu. [Tel.] v. a. To smear, besmear. పూయు, దళముగా పూయు, దట్టముగా చరుము, దళసరిగామెత్తు. 'పెన్నలుపు మించికందెన, మేగినట్టున్ననూనె మెగమున చీకట్లుముడివడ.' HD. ii. 1388. To surround, ఆవరించు.
