To lean, bend, bow down, slant, be inclined, recline or lie down, to be weighed down, as scales. వంగు, వాలు. ఒరగి crouching, hiding. పడవ ఒరిగెను the boat leant on one side. ఒరిగి పడినాడు he tumbled down. మిన్నొరిగినట్లు crashingly, suddenly, as though the skies were falling, ఆ లెక్కను నామీద నొరగదోసినాడు he got that debt charged against me. ఒరగు n. Crookedness వంపు. ఒరగు, ఒరగుదిండు, ఒరగుడుదిండు, or ఒరగుబిళ్ల a cushion or large pillow to lean against. adj. Crooked వంపైన. ఒరగుపోవు or ఒరగబడు Same as ఒరగు. q.v.

(p. 302) kūkuḍuvatti kūkuḍu-vatti. [Tel.] n. Gossamer. కూకుడువత్తులయ్యె it was driven away like gossamer, i.e. piecemeal, bit by bit. నలినూకలు, తుత్తుమురు. 'కుంభిరదప్రహారముల కూకుడువత్తులనైనమిన్ను విశ్వంభరగూలునన్,' P. i. 50. See also L. iii. 139. and P. ii. 104.

Earth, mud, soil, dirt. మంటబెట్టు to inter or bury. పూడ్చు, పాతిపెట్టు. వానికి మన్నుమిన్నుకానరాలేదు he is too proud to care for anything in heaven or on earth. మన్నుదిండి, మనుదిండి or మన్దిండి manu-dinḍi. n. Lit. that which feeds on earth, i .e., a kind of snake. మన్నురేడు mannu-rēḍu. n. A king. భూపతి. మన్నులపాము mannula-pāmu. n. A harmless species of serpent, extremely thick. Russell on Snakes, Vol. ii. D. మింటికి Abl. మింట). మింటికెగసి it flew up into the sky. మిన్నున in the sky. మిన్నువిరిగి మీదపడినట్లు as if the skies were falling. Swa. iv. 115. మినుచూలు minu-ṭṣūla. n. Lit. the offspring of the sky, an epithet of applied to the wind, వాయువు. మినుసిగవేలుపు, lit. the sky-tressed god, an epithet of Siva. మిన్నుకొలకు, మిన్నువాక, మిన్వాక or మిన్నేరు minnu-kolaku. n. The heavenly Ganges. ఆకాశగంగ. మిన్నుమన్ను minnu-mannu. n. Heaven and earth, ఆకాశమును భూమియు. The space between heaven and earth, రోదసి. మిన్నువాకతాలుపు minnu-vāka-tālupu. n. (p. 1108) lēkha lēkha. [Skt. from లిఖ్ to scratch.] n. A letter an epistle. ౛ాబు. A line, a row. రేఖ, పజ్త్కి, వరుస. లేఖకుడు lēkhakuḍu. n. A scribe, writer, clerk. వ్రాతకాడు, లేకరి. లేఖనము lēkhanamu. n. Writing. వ్రాయడము, వ్రాత. లేఖనపుష్టి empty words, mere rigmarole. ఈజాబులో వట్టిలేఖనపుష్టేగాని వేరే యేమిన్నీ లేదు this letter is a pack of nonsense and nothing else. లేఖనికుడు lēkhanikuḍu. n. One who gets a letter written for him by another and makes a mark on it to show that it is written by himself or under his orders. తనగురుతు పెట్టి ఒకరిచేత వ్రాయించువాడు. లేఖనీయము or లేఖ్యము lēkhan-īyamu. adj. Worthy or fit to be written, వ్రాయదగిన. లేఖభామిని lēkha-bhāmini. n. A goddess. దేవతాస్త్రీ. 'లేఖభామినులయు.' Vasu. v. 4. లేఖహారకుడు lēkha-hārakuḍu. A letter carrier, a postman. లేఖర్షభుడు lēkharshabhuḍu. n. A title of Indra. వేల్పురేడు, ఇంద్రుడు. లేఖ్యము lēkhyamu. n. A business letter. వ్యవహారవిషయమైన వ్రాత. లేఖితము Same as లిఖితము. (p. 1186) virugu virugu. [Tel.] v. n. To break or go to pieces. తునియు, భగ్నమగు. To curdle. To fail, to be defeated, to be counteracted. ఓడు, దండువిరుగు, ఒడిపోవు. To be spoilt, పాకముచెడు. దాని మనస్సు విరిగిపోయినది she is quite disgusted. పాలు విరిగిపోయినవి the milk curdled. వానిదేహములో రక్తము విరిగిపోయినది his blood curdled. ఈ మందువల్ల విషము విరిగిపోయినది this medicine counteracted the poison. ఆ బొమ్మచెయ్యి విరుగగొట్టినాడు he broke the arm of the doll. విరగబడినచెట్టు a tree in full bearing. 'మిన్నువిరిగివచ్చి మీదబడ్డట్లు.' Sar. D. 196. 'ఇనుమువిరిగెనేనియిరుమారుముమ్మారు, కాచియుతుకనేర్చుకమ్మరీడు, మనసువిరిగెనేని మరియతుకనేర్చునా.' Vēma. 157.

(p. 1359) sōḍu sōḍu. [Tel.] n. The crown of the head. మాడపట్టు, బ్రహ్మరంధ్రము. సోడుముట్టు sōḍu-muṭṭu. v. n. To spread, pervade, be diffused throughout. అంతటవ్యాపించు. తలకెక్కు, మిన్నుముట్టు. 'పుష్పసురభిౚంధంబులు సోడుముట్ట.' Parij. v. 53. 'క నీదగుతనువునదివ్యా, మోదముసాంద్రమయి సోడుముట్టెడునత్యా, హ్లాదమహాశ్చర్యసముత్పాదియగుచు.' M. XIII. ii. 458.
