(p. 542) tūgu tūgu. [Tel.] v. n. To nod. To bow down, to be weighed down. To weigh తూనికపడు. To move or rock backwards and forwards. ఊగు, చలించు. To be paid or got. To sleep. కూరు. To be carried on నడచు. సరితూగు to be equal in weight, to rival in excellence. పచ్చిమిరపకాయలకన్న ఎండుమిరపకాయలు నిండా తూగును dried chillies weigh heavier than the green ones. ఆ రూకలు తూగిరాక as he could not obtain payment. పనితూగకపోయె the work was not carried through. n. Nodding: moving backwards and forwards; equipoise. ఊగుట. Weight. బరువు. Drowsiness, sleepiness. కూరుకుపాటు. పదితూగుల రవలు ten carats weight of diamonds. నాకు తూగువస్తున్నది I am drowsy. ఠూగించు tūginṭsu. v. a. To accomplish, to carry through. తూగుముంచము or తూగుటుయ్యెల tūgu-manṭsamu. n. A swinging cot, a cradle, ఉయ్యాలమంచము. తూగువాడు or తూగుడు the animal called a sloth.

(p. 693) pacci pachchi. [Tel.] adj. Raw, unripe. ముదరిని, పండని. Unbaked, unburnt, కాలని, as పచ్చికుండ. Unboiled, ఉడుకని, as పచ్చిపులుసు. Green, not dry, (as firewood,) ఎండని. Unchred (as a hide,) raw, sore, tender, as పచ్చిపుండు. Colloquially it means palpable, gross, downright, absolute, rank, arrant, open, unveiled, unblushing, board, coarse. పచ్చిమిరపకాయలు green chillies. పచ్చివిషము rank poison. పచ్చికస్తురి వీణె an unsunned or unbroached scent bottle. పచ్చికర్ర a green stick. పచ్చి ఒళ్లుగల convalescent. 'పచ్చిబడి యలనతని బడగొట్టుడనుచు.' Charit. i. 2223. పచ్చి నెత్తురు blood just shed. 'వచ్చుముంగిసజూచి వసుధేశపత్ని, పచ్చినెత్తురుమూతి పరికించితనదు.' Sāranga D. v. 280. పచ్చిక pachhika. (పచ్చి+కలది.) n. Grass. పచ్చగడ్డి. పచ్చికతేలేదు the grass has not brought. పచ్చికపట్టు a grassy spot, a meadow, a lawn, a green. పచ్చితేరు pachchi-tēru. v. n. To become green, పచ్చిఅగు.

(p. 992) munta manta. [Tel.] n. A lōṭa or small water pot. చెంబు. A wooden bowl, a small pot or cup. A varying measure of gram, commonly two seers. చల్లకువచ్చి ముంతదాచగనేల why do you conceal the pot having come for buttermilk? i.e., why conceal your real intention? ముంతపొగపెట్టు to burn chillies, &c., in a pot and apply it to the face as a torture, కాల్చి ముంతలో వేసిన మిరపకాయల పొగను మూతికి కట్టు. ముంతగజ్జనము munta-gaj-janamu. n. A certain shrub called Echites frutescens. సహదేవి. ముంతమామిడి munta-māmiḍi. n. The Cashew nut tree. Anacardium occidentoie, అగ్రబీజము. ముంతమామిడి పప్పు Cashew nuts.

(p. 1125) vaḍiyamu vaḍiyamu. [Tel.] n. A cake made of black gram (split, soaked and ground,) mixed with salt, chillies, and assafœtida; it is dried in the sun and eaten as pickle. నం౛ుకోవడమునకై మినపపప్పు మిరపకాయలు ఇంగువవేసి నూరిచేసి యెండబెట్టిన వటకము.

(p. 1230) vaivadhikuḍu vaivadhikuḍu. [Skt.] n. One who carries a కావడి. A hawker or pedlar, a news-bearer, a messenger. వార్తావహుడు, చిల్లరఅంగడివాడు, ఉప్పుమిరపకాయలమ్ముకొనువాడు.
