(p. 27) accanagaṇḍlu, accanagāyalu or అచ్చనగుండ్లు aṭṭsana-gunḍlu. [Tel. singular అచ్చనకల్లు;] n. Chuck-stones. Pebbles which are tossed up, and caught on the back of the hand, in a game played by girls. 'ముదురువెన్నెల గాయ ముత్యాలదిన్నెపై పైడియచ్చనగండ్లు పారవైచి.' Yayati. iii. 149. అచ్చనలాడు or అచ్చనగాయలాడు to toss up balls and catch them on the back of the hand. నలాడండననియె నమ్మునితోడన్.' Jai. Bhar. i. 62.

(p. 103) asiyāḍu asi-y-āḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To tremble, dance, move, dangle; to hang as a pendulum. చలించు, వణకు, వ్రేలాడు. 'ముక్కుననసియాడు ముదురుతామరతూడు.' N. ii. 82. అసివారు asi-vāru. [Tel. అసి+పారు] n. A gentle walk, a stroll. విహారము 'ఎవ్వడునలువ తేరెక్కి యష్టాదశద్వీపాళి నసివారుదిరిగెలీల.' కాళీ. iv.

(p. 816) pōciḷlu pōchillu. [Tel.] n. A superstitious rite (ఉపశ్రుతి) regarding omens: a few grains of rice (అక్షతలు) put in water are flung on the roof of a neighbour's house: he who so casts them sits in a corner and listens for any words he can overhear in the family: the words are put together and a meaning is elicited. 'శకునజ్ఞుల నడుగుదు రట్ల, యెనరంగ పోచిళ్లు పోతురు మరియు, గద్దె చూసింతురు గౌర నోముదురు.' L. iii. 105.

(p. 819) pōyu pōyu. [Tel.] v. n. To arise, to be born or produced, పుట్టు, చెమటపోయు to perspire, చెమటపట్టు. చీముపోయు to suppurate as a boil, చీముపట్టు. వానికి యింకా అమ్మవారు పోయలేదు he has never had the small-pox. v. a. To pour, as water. To cast in metal or found. To fit on, as a halter as ఉరిపోయు. To place an arrow in a bow (బాణమును) సంధించు or కూర్చు. అమ్మవారు నిన్న సేతులుపోసినది the small pox came to a head yesterday. కట్టపోసినారు they built a bank. నారుపోయు to sow seed, which is afterwards to be transplanted. ఆకుపోయు to transplant rice. గోడపెట్టి ముదురుపోసినాడు he built a wall and placed a cope upon it. తలబ్రాలు పోసినది she poured the blessed grain upon their heads (in marriage.) ఉచ్చపోయు to make water, to pass urine. వడపోయు or వడకట్టు to strain rice, &c. ఉరిపోయు to cast a noose. వృథాగా నా ఉసురుపోసుకొన్నాడు he has injured me without any cause. పురుడుపోసేనిమిత్తము దానిని పుట్టింటికి తీసుకొని వచ్చినారు they brought her home to lie in. వాడు దానిని నోట్లో పోసుకొన్నాడు he poured it into his mouth. ఆ చిన్నది వానిని నీళ్లు పోస్తున్నది the girl is bathing him. ఆమె చెట్లకు నీళ్లుపోస్తున్నది she is watering the trees. బిచ్చమెత్తి పొట్టపోసు కొంటున్నాడు he fills his belly by begging. ఆసుపోసినది she placed the thread in readiness for weaving. పోయించు pōyinṭsu. v. a. To cause to cast or pour; to erect. గట్టుపోయించు to raise a bank. విగ్రహములు పోయించిరి they had some statues cast.

(p. 1003) muduru muduru. [Tel.] v. n. To be mature, to arrive at full growth or maturity, to reach its full height. To increase. పక్వమగు, వర్ధిల్లు. ఎండలు ముదిరినవి the summer or heat is now at its height. కలహము ముదిరినది the battle is raging. To be chronic or established. ఆ రోగము ముదిరినది the disease has become chronic. adj. Mature, ripe, elder, senior, old, వృద్ధము. ముదురాకు a leaf that is ripe and brittle. ముదురుముఖము or ముదురుమూతి the face of mature age, set features. ముదురు అక్షరములు a fixed hand, or a formed or settled text.

(p. 484) zonna ḍzonna. [Tel.] n. The great millet, cholam, jowari. There are many species of this, as తోట౛ొన్న, ముదురు జొన్న, లోగుపెద్ద ౛ొన్న, పయిరు౛ొన్న, పాలావు౛ొన్న, గిడ్డ౛ొన్న, ఎర్ర౛ొన్న. మొక్క౛ొన్న Indian corn, or maize.
