(p. 111) aḍi āḍi. An affix (derived from ఆడు) implying 'doer' or 'performer,' as మాయలు tricks, మాయలాడి a rogue: ముద్దులు fondness, ముద్దులాడి a fond girl: కులుకులు graces, కులుకులాడి a lovely woman: టక్కులు pranks, టక్కులాడి a cheat.

(p. 60) annemu annemu. [Tadbhav of Skt. అన్యము] adj. Another, other, different. అన్యము. అన్నెము n. Other thing. వేరొకటి, ఇతరమైనది. 'మున్నొకనాడు నంగనలముద్దులసుద్దు లెరుంగనట్టిచో నన్నెమికేల.' (p. 122) āru āru. [Tel.] v. n. To teem with, be full of నిండు; to be or have. సొంపారిన beautiful. ఇంపారిన delightful. నిండారుగానున్నది it is full. అలరారు blooming. చెన్నారిన lovely. పొల్పారిన charming (compare the affix ఆరి as నేర్పరి, సొంపరి, &c.) గోజారు to trouble. సొంపారు to bloom, to be pretty. In such phrases as నూరారు వెయ్యారు the word అరు is not the numeral six, but is a form of అరు to be full; so వెయ్యారు means full thousand and నూరారు full a hundred. నూరారుముద్దులు a full hundred kisses. చేతులారంగ శివుని పూజింపడేని if he sacrifice not to Siva with his own hands. చేతులార రూకలు చెల్లిస్తిని I paid the money with my own hands. పని ఆరుమూడు అయినది the work is all in confusion, at sixes and sevens.

(p. 170) uluku uluku. [Tel.] v. n. To start, quiver, (See the casual ఉలుచు) ముద్దులుకు కన్నులు eyes quivering with prettiness. 'కలికి లేనడు ములికికులికెన్.' she wagged her waist at him in derision. ఉలుకు n. Timidity, fright. జడుపు.

(p. 216) osagu or ఒసంగు osagu. [Tel.] v. a. To give. ముద్దొసగు to give a kiss. ముద్దులొసంగు నీ మొగము your beautiful face. ఒసగు n. A gift ఈని, త్యాగము.

(p. 416) cinnāri chinnāri. [Tel. చిన్న+అరి.] (a term of affection.) adj. Delicate, pretty. మనోజ్ఞము. చిన్నారిగోళ్లు pretty or delicate finger nails. చిన్నారిపొన్నారి chinnāri-ponnāri. adj. Pretty, lovely, charming. ముద్దులుకులికేటటు వంటి.

(p. 420) cilaka or చిలుక chilaka. n. [Tel.] n. The name is given to some insects, as a moth, thus, ఆకుచిలక, వడ్లచిలక a moth. గడ్డిచిలక, సీతాకోకచిలక a butterfly. A padlock. The bolt or hasp of a door, because these originally had parrot's heads on them. చిలుకల కొలికి a bright-eyed girl or woman. చక్కని స్త్రీ. చిలకకూర or చిలకతోటకూర chilaka-kūra. n. A kind of pot-herb, Amarantus fasciatus. (Watts.) చిలక, చిలకట or చిలుకడ chilaka. n. A saddle buckle: a ring at the end of the rope used as a girth of the bullock saddle through which the other end is passed to fasten the saddle. కొలికిముడి. చిలకడతాడు chilakada-tāḍu. n. A girth. ఎద్దుమీదికందళము, గంతబిగించేతాడు. చిలకకొయ్య or చిలుకకొయ్య chilaka-koyya. n. A wooden pin fixed in the wall, on which articles are suspended. చిలగడ chilagaḍa. (చిలుక+గడ.) n. The cord that fastens a dagger, to prevent its falling out of the sheath. చిలకతాళము chilaka-tāḷamu. n. A padlock. చిలకతాళి or చిలుకతాళి chilaka-tāḷi. n. A gold buckle in the form of a pair of parrots. చిలుకదుదుడి chilaka-duduḍi. n. The name of a certain tree. చిలకపచ్చ chilaka-paṭsṭsa. n. Bright green, parrot green. చిలకమొక్క or చిలకముక్కు chilaka-mokka. n. (lit. Parrot's bill.) A plant called crotolaria. శుకాననము, శుకనాస. Heyne, 130. The purple red and white scentless flower called Balsam. చిలకరౌతు chilaka-rautu. n. Lit: He whose steed is the parrot: an epithet of మన్మథ the god of love. చిలుక కోణము chiluka-kōṃamu. n. (p. 1004) muddu muddu. [Tel.] n. A kiss. చంబనము. Sweetness, fondness, delight; caressing, toying. మనోజ్ఞత, చిన్నవాండ్లయందలి ప్రేమ. ముద్దుచూపు to show love. ముద్దుపెట్టుకొను muddu-peṭṭu-konu. v. a. To kiss, చుంబనముచేయు. ముద్దాడు or ముద్దులాడు mudḍ-āḍu. v. a.
