(p. 71) abhiṣēkamu abhi-shēkamu. [Skt.] n. Installation by anointing, initiation, royal unction, bathing, anointing, inauguration. స్నానము, మునక, పట్టముకట్టడము. దేవునికి అభిషేకము అయిన తరువాత after the idol was bathed. తైలాభిషేకము anointing with oil. చూర్ణాభిషేకము a particular rite of pouring turmeric powder over the head of an idol on the sixth day of the annual feast called బ్రహ్మోత్సవము. పట్టాభిషేకము coronation of a king. పట్టాభిషేకము చేయు to crown a king. రాజు ఆ కవికి స్వర్ణాభిషేకము చేసినాడు the prince showered bounties upon the poet. అన్నాభిషేకము చేయు to pour boiled rice over an image. అభిషేకించు v. t. To bathe, anoint. తల అంటు, మునిగించు. అభిషిక్తము abhi-shitkamu. [Skt.] adj. Installed by anointing, bathed, anointed. పట్టము కట్టబడిన, స్నానము చేయింపబడిన. అభిషిక్తుడు. n. (p. 366) gāhamu or గాహనము gāhamu. [Skt.] n. Bathing, ablution. గాహితము gāhi-tamu. n. Caught. పట్టుకోబడిన. Sunk మునిగిన. A. vi. 10.

(p. 548) teppa teppa. [Tel.] n. A raft or float, a cattamaran. కట్టుమ్రాను. వానితెప్ప మునిగినది his foot is sunk, i.e., he is totally ruined. తెప్ప బయలుదేరినట్టు ఉన్నది it is as if (his) raft has come to the surface, i.e., he has recovered his spirits. తెప్పలదేలు to be rife, to abound, rejoice, revel. ఓలలాడు. తెప్పలతేలగా or తెప్పతెప్పలుగ abundantly. T. ii. 34. అగ్గితెప్ప a flake of fire. తెప్పతిరునాళ్ల the raft feast, when the god is placed on a float and rowed over a pond or reservoir. తెప్పతెరలగ teppa-tearala-ga. adv. At pleasure, యథేచ్ఛముగా. At full speed. అతివేగముగా.

(p. 629) naṭṭa naṭṭa. [Tel.] n. A die at play. పాచిక 'నట్టలురెండుదానజతనంబునజేకొని.' భో. vii. నట్ట Short for నడుమ. The middle part of anything. నట్టడవి (నడుము+అడవి.) the heart of the forest, అరణ్య మధ్యము. నట్టనడమ (నడుము+నడుమ.) in the very middle, exactly in the centre, సరిమధ్యమందు. నట్టకోతి naṭṭa-kōti. n. A certain game among boys. నట్టిల్లు naṭṭillu. (నడుము+ఇల్లు.) n. The middle of a house. గృహమధ్యము. The inner apartments of a house, గర్భగృహము. నట్టింట in the middle of the house. నట్టేరు naṭṭēru. (నడుము+ఏరు.) n. The middle of the stream, నదీమధ్యము. నా బ్రతుకు నట్టేటిలో పుట్టి మునిగిన సామెత ఆయెను. I am utterly ruined, my raft has sunk in the mid stream.

(p. 1006) munugu or మున్గు munugu. [Tel.] v. n. To sink, to be immersed, to plunge; to dive, to go under water.మగ్నమగు. To be depressed, అడగు. మునిగిన ముక్కు a depressed or snub nose. To perish, to be ruined, నశించు. To be hidden, మరుగుపడు. మునుగుకోడి munugu-kōḍi. n. A water fowl. The little Grebe, Podiceps albipennis (F.B.I.) మునుచు or ముంచు munuṭsu. v. a. To cause to sink, మునుగజేయు. మునుక munuka. n. Immersion, a plunge or dive. మునుగటు, మునుకవేయుట, మజ్జనము, మణగడము. నీరుమునుక పొలము land liable to inundation.

(p. 1120) vakki vakki. [Tel.] adj. Lean, fleshless. బక్కయైన, పలచని, కృశము. వక్కిపక్షి. వక్కికట్టె or వక్కివాడు vakki-pakshi. n. A starveling, బక్ఖవాడు. వక్కు vakku. v. n. To become lean. బక్కచిక్కు, కృశించు. 'మునిగిమునిగిమునిగి ముద్దయై ముద్దయై వనరివనరివనరి వక్కివక్కి, తిరిగితిరిగితిరిగి దిమ్మరైయుండును.' Vema. 816. వక్కు, వక్కుకొంగ or వక్కువులుగు vakku. n. A heron, బకము.
