(p. 186) eḍḍe eḍḍe. [Tel.] adj. Ignorant. మూఢమైన. ఎడ్డెవాడు or ఎడ్డెడు a boor, a fool. Vēma. ii. 68. ఎడ్డెతనము eḍḍe-tanamu. n. Boorishness.

(p. 1044) mōṭa mōṭa. [Tel.] n. A water pump, a water wheel for drawing water from wells to irrigate the fields. మోటతోలు to drive the bullocks that draw up water with a మోట. కపిలమోటబాన the large bucket in which the water is drawn up from a well.మోట [from Skt. మూఢ.] adj. Dull, stupid, simple. మూఢమైన, మొద్దు. మొటకత్తి mōṭa-katti. n. A hunting knife, a cutlass. ముచ్చుకత్తి. స్వా. iv. మోటపారు mōṭa-pāru. n. The slope at a well down which the cattle run while drawing water. మోటబరి mōṭa-bari. n. A pack bullock, బరువుమోయుఎద్దు. మోటాటిరెడ్లు or మోటపాటిరెడ్లు mōṭāṭi-reḍlu. n. plu. The name of a subdivision among the Kāpūs (a class of farmers.) రెడ్లలో భేదము.

(p. 1045) mōṭu mōṭu. [Tel.] n. An obstinate person. మూర్ఖుడు, మ్రోడు. A stupid person, or blockhead. మూఢుడు, మూఢస్త్రీ. A male horse, మగగుర్రము. A country bred horse, తట్టువగుర్రము. A stump, block, trunk. మోడు, నరకగా మిగిలిన కాళ్లుచేతులు మొదలైనవి, మొద్దు.' కాలినమోటువంటి కొరగాని శరీరము.' Vish. ii. 143. A false human figure placed before a sow, పందికెదుట మనుష్యాకారముగా నిలిపిన కపటలక్ష్యము. adj. Dull, stupid, simple, rude, coarse. boorish, uncivilised, vulgar, మడ్డి. మూఢమైన, మూర్ఖమైన, మోటుసరసము bear's play, practical jokes, rough romping. మోటాసపడు mōṭ-āsa-paḍu. (మోటు + ఆసపడు.) v. a. To aim at. 'సీ సటలెత్తుకొనియెత్తు కిటినైనమోటాస పడియేయబొడుతునీపాదమాన.' Swa. iv. 44. టీ మోటాసపడియేయ, మాటు చేసికొని బాణములచేతవేయను.
