(p. 305) kūḷa kūḷa. [Tel.] adj. Cruel, vile, wicked. క్రూరము, కుత్సితము. కూళస్వరము a harsh voice. కూళ or కూళుడు n. A wicked man, a wretch. కుత్సిత పురుషుడు. An ignorant man మూఢుడు. 'కూళకూళమెచ్చుగుణవంతుని విడనాడి.' Vēma. Plu. కూళలు. కూళతనము kūḷa-tanamu. n. Wickedness, vileness, cruelty. 'ప్రేతయన్నములకు ప్రియముతోడుతబిల్చి, కాకులకును పెట్టుకర్ములార, కుక్కలను నేమి కూళత్వమున్నది.' (p. 989) mīṭu mīṭu. [Tel.] v. a. To fillip, fling, toss. వీణెమీటు to touch the lute. గోటమీటు to flick away or fling from the nail. గుర్రమును మీటు to spur a horse. చెక్కుమీటు to touch or scratch (the cheek) with the nail. తేలుమీటినది the scorpion stung (him) 'నిజాంగుష్ఠంబునగొని పరియోజనములు పోవగమీటెన్.' R. v. 293. 'చెక్కుమీటిన వసకారుశిశువు.' Vish. ii. 62. 'తేలనుచు బిగియబట్టిన మేలెరుగునె మీటుగాక.' Vēma 1087. 'తోదోపులమీరిమేటిరవుతుల్ తురంగంబులమీటిపిల్వ.' T. v. 22. 'విడుమంచుసీత్కృతితో గోటజెక్కుమీటు.' (p. 998) muccaṭa muṭsṭsaṭa. [Tel.] n. Conversation, discourse, talk. సల్లాపము. A story; news, tidings, వృత్తాంతము. Wish, desire, longing, కోరిక. Love, ప్రేమము, వేడుక. వెర్రి ముచ్చట prattle, tattle. మనకువచ్చిన నష్టము వట్టిముచ్చటకాదు the loss we suffered is no mere talk, or is no trifle. అది నాకు ముచ్చటగుచున్నది I am fond of it. వానికి మాట్లాడడమే ఒకముచ్చట he is fond of conversation. 'ఒచ్చెంబులేనికూరిమి ముచ్చటలాడుచుమ.' T. iii. 7. 'వచ్చి నా ముచ్చటలదీర్పు మెచ్చుగాను.' N. vii. 182. ముచ్చటగానుండే elegant, handsome, attractive, charming, pleasing, ముద్దుగానుండే. ముచ్చటకాడు muṭsṭsaṭa-kāḍu. n. One who desires, కోరికగలవాడు. ముచ్చటపడు muṭsṭsata-paḍu. v. n. To fall in love with, be enamoured of, to wish, long for, desire, ఆశపడు, కోరు. ముచ్చటించు, ముచ్చటలాడు or ముచ్చటాడు muṭsṭsaṭ-inṭsu. v. n. To converse, to talk. సంభాషించు.

(p. 1021) meccu meṭsṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To applaud, commend, praise, approve, శ్లాఘించు. ఒప్పుకొను. ఆపనికి మెచ్చి approving that act. 'జీవహింసలకును శివుడు మెచ్చండు.' Raghava Pandav. iii. 25. n. Praise, approbation, applause, commendation. మెప్పు, శ్లాఘన, అనుగ్రహము, ప్రీతి, బహుమానము. మెచ్చుపడసెను he was applauded. adj. Praiseworthy, శ్లాఘ్యము. మెచ్చుకొను meṭsṭsu-konu. v. a. To praise, approve, commend. శ్లాఘించు, కొనియాడు. మెచ్చులచెట్టు meṭsṭsula cheṭṭu The admirable tree, an epithet applied to the కల్పవృక్షము. మెచ్చులాడి meṭsṭsul-āḍi. n. A woman who is fit to be admired. మెచ్చుకొనదగిన ఆడుది, మెచ్చులాడు meṭsṭsul-āḍu. n. One who is fit to be admired, మెచ్చుకొనదగినవాడు. మెరమెచ్చు mera-meṭsṭsu. (మెచ్చు + మెచ్చు.) n. Great praise or approbation, entire satisfaction. మిక్కిలిమెచ్చు. See మెప్పు.

(p. 1023) meppu meppu. [Tel. from మెచ్చు.] n. Approbation, approval, commendation. శ్లాఘన. Love, ప్రీతి. A boon, వరము. మెప్పించు meppinṭsu. v. a. To gratify, persuade, talk over, conciliate. మెచ్చుకొనునట్టుచేయు. మెప్పించుకొను meppinṭsu-konu. v. a. To gain one's good word, acquire a good character. To hymn or celebrate. మెప్పు వచ్చునట్లుచేసికొను. దిమందిలో యోగ్యుడని మెప్పించుకొన్నాడు he obtained the applause of many.

(p. 1069) rā rā. [Tel.] n. and adj. Short for రాయి a stone; and also for రాచ (kindly adj.) Pertaining to a stone. రాతిసంబంధమైన. Pertaining to a king, of the king, royal, రాచ, ఆ నూతికి రాకట్టు కట్టించిరి they built the well round with stone. 'పచ్చరా జగతిపై, పసిడి కంబములు మెచ్చుగానిలిపి, యామీద నీలంపుబోదెలు.' (p. 1291) sat sat. [Skt.] adj. True, good, virtuous. Excellent, venerable, respectable, pure, holy. యథార్థమైన, ఘనమైన, మంచి, పావనమైన. One verse says 'చదువనివాడజ్ఞుండగు చదివినసదసద్వివేక చతురతగలుగున్.' సత్కర్మము or సత్కార్యము a good deed. అపత్ not good, evil. సత్కవి a good poet, మంచి కావ్యకర్త. సత్పాత్రము worthy, deserving, fit. యోగ్యమైన, అర్హమైన. సత్పాత్రుడు one who is worthy, deserving or fit, అర్హుడు, తగినవాడు. సత్పురుషుడు a good man, మంచివాడు, సత్పథము a good way, మంచిదోవ. The final letter undergoes the usual phonetic changes when the word is used in composition: e.g. సన్మార్గము a good way, సమ్మనీంద్రుడు a holy sage; &c. సచ్చరితుడు a virtuous, honest or upright man, మంచి నడతగలవాడు. సచ్చిదానందము God, as the fountain of being, intelligence, and happiness: lit. 'it that is good, wise, and happy.' నిత్య జ్ఞానానంద స్వరూపపరబ్రహ్మము. సచ్ఛుద్రుడు a pious Sudra, సదాచారముగల శూద్రుడు. సజ్జనత్వము magnanimity, goodness, సభ్యత్వము. సజ్ఞనుడు a respectable man, a good man, సభ్యుడు. సదునష్ఠానము a good practice, సదాచారము. సదమలము pure, spotless, నిర్మలము. సదాచారము virtuous conduct, correct deportment, మంచినడత, సదాచారి a virtuous man. సదాచారులు the wise, the good. సదుత్తరము a proper answer or reply, ప్రతివాక్యము సదుపాయము an excellent means, a good expedient, మంచిసాధనము. సద్గతి beatitude, salvation, future bliss, ముక్తి. Swa. ii. 80. సద్గుణము virtue, a good quality, సుశీలము. సద్భక్తి true religion, zeal strong faith, fidelity, పూజ్యులయందలి మిక్కిలి అనురాగము. సద్భావము goodness, kindness, politeness, విద్యమానత, దయశిష్టాచారము. సద్వినయము true humility, మంచినమ్రత. సద్వ్యాపారము good behaviour, good conduct, మంచివృత్తి. సద్వ్యాసంగము love of good acts, మంచియిచ్ఛ, సున్నుతము praised, applauded, commended, స్తోత్రము చేయబడ్డ, కొనియాబడ్డ. సన్నుతి sincere praise, commendation, laud. చక్కనిస్తుతి, స్తోత్రము. సన్నుతించు to praise, applaud, commend, చక్కగా స్తోత్రముచేయు, మెచ్చుకొను. సన్మహత్త్వము greatness, urbanity, గొప్పతనము, శ్రేష్ఠత.
