(p. 353) gaḍḍi gaḍḍi. [Tel.] n. Grass. కసవు. వరిగడ్డి rice straw. గడ్డిమొలతాడు a small cord made of the darbha or sacred grass worn around the waist by a young Brahmin in the ceremony of investing him with the sacred thread. కామంచిగడ్డి or కామాక్షికసవు the Citronella, or Andropogon Nardus. (Watts.) గడ్డితలకాయ gaḍḍi-tala-kāya. n. A hair-brained fellow, a soft-headed fool. గడ్డి తినిపించు gaḍḍi-tini-pinṭsu. v. n. To dupe. (lit. to make one eat grass) వానిని గడ్డితినిపించినారు they befooled him. గడ్డితిను gaḍḍi-tinu. v. n. To eat grass, to be cheated. ఈలాగున గడ్డితిన్నాడు thus was he befooled. గడ్డిపరక gaḍḍi-paraka. n. A blade of straw or grass గడ్డిపాము gaḍḍi-pāmu. n. A species of snake. గడ్డిపిట్ట gaḍḍi-piṭṭa. n. A kind of bird: there are three sorts, named ఎర్రగడ్డిపిట్ట, బిత్తరిగడ్డిపిట్ట and భూతగడ్డిపిట్ట. గడ్డిబొద్దున gaḍḍi-bodduva. n. A ring of grass rope to set a pot on. చుట్ట కుదురు.

(p. 394) gōva gōva. [Tel.] n. The town Goa. గోవ౛వ్వాజి Castor, imported from thence. గోవతాడు or గోవమొలతాడు a flexible belt, woven of gold or silver. గోవ n. Youthfulness యావనము. adj. (p. 747) pāle pāle. [Tel.] n. A button or round plate of metal. పాలెలమొలతాడు a zone formed of such pieces. See పాలెము.

(p. 1042) mola mola. [Tel.] n. The waist, the middle, కటిప్రదేశము. A wedge, pin, large nail, or spike. The pin or needle of a balance, త్రాసుముల్లు, చీల. మొలత్రాసు a balance which has a tongue. 'ధమనియుశ్రావణంబు మొలత్రాసునుపట్టెడ నీరుకారు' H. ii. 200. దిసమొల or మొండిమొల starknakedness, utter nudity. మొలకట్టు mola-kaṭṭu. n. A girdle or waist-band. నడుముకు కట్టుకొనేత్రాడు, మొలమాలు. A waist cloth, కట్టుకోక. మొలకత్తి mola-katti. n. A dagger, బాకు. మొలకులికి or మొలకొలికి mola-kuliki. n. A kind of grain, ధాన్యవిశేషము. మొలతాడు mola-tāḍu. n. The small string tied round a Hindu's waist whence is suspended the bit of cloth which serves as a modesty piece. కటిసూత్రము. బంగారుమొలతాడు a woven cord of golden wire. మొలతాటిగోడ mola-tāṭi-gōḍa. n. A parapet, or rail wall. మేలుగోడ. మొలనూలు mola-nūlu. n. A girdle, a zone: a cestus of gold or silver, worn by women. ఆడువారికటిమాత్రము.

(p. 1049) mauñji maunji. [Skt. from ముంబు.] n. The girdle worn by a Brahmin bachelor made of three strings of Munja grass. బ్రహ్మచారులు కట్టుకొనే ముంజగడ్డి మొలతాడు. మౌంజీధరుడు one who wears this girdle, a bachelor.
