(p. 775) pullabaḍu or పుల్లపడు pulla-baḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be stunned, మ్రానుపడు, స్తంభించు, నిశ్చేష్టితుడగు. 'క పుల్లవడిచలమురోషము, బొల్లైననతండు కొంతప్రొద్దుమొగమునన్, వెల్లదనము గదురనిలిచి, యెల్లజనులువినగమరియు నిట్లనిపలికెన్.' M. III. iv. 371.

(p. 885) bimmaṭa , బిమ్మటము or బిమ్మటి bimmaṭa. [Tel.] n. Stupor, grief. మూర్ఛావస్థ, అచైతన్యము. వివశత, విస్మయజన్యస్తబ్ధత, మ్రానుపడుట. Doubt, suspicion, misgiving, సంకోచము. 'తనకుబిమ్మటమైననర్జునునిబాహు, లీలయిమ్మెయి ద్రోవంగలేకతెగియె, నధిపయాబోతు బెబ్బులికగ్గమైన, పగిదియయ్యె బాండవులకు పగయణంగె.' M. VIII. i. 5. adj. Being in a state of stupor, వివశము. బిమ్మిటిగొను or బిమ్మిటిపోవు bimmiṭi-gonu. v. n. To be in a state of stupor, వివశత్వమునొందు. To swoon, మూర్ఛిల్లు.

(p. 974) mānu mānu. [Tel.] adj. Fit, proper, worthy, యోగ్యము. Pleasant, fine, మనోజ్ఞము. ప్రకాశముతోమానై beautiful with brightness. n. Pleasantness, మనోజ్ఞత. మానుగ mānu-ga. adv. Duly, fitly, truly, పొందుగా. మాను or మ్రాను mānu. [Tel. cf. Tam. మరమ్.] n. A tree. Wood. మ్రాను or అడుగు మాను, the trunk of a tree. మానుపడు, మాన్పడు, మ్రానుపడు, మ్రాన్పడు or మానయినిలుచు mānu-paḍu. v. n. Literally, to turn into wood. To be astounded. or stunned with horror: to stand aghast, to be struck dumb. అడ్డమ్రాను the cross bar of a door. కట్టమాను (cf. Tam. (p. 1050) mrānu Same as మాను a tree (q. v.). మ్రానుకోయిల a wood pecker, వడ్రంగిపిట్ట. మ్రానుద్రిమ్మరి, మ్రాన్దిమ్మరి, మ్రానుమనికి or మ్రానుమన్కి mrānu-drimmari. n. A monkey. కోతి. మ్రానుపాటు or మ్రాన్పాటు mrānu-pāṭu. n. Stupor, the state of being stunned. నిశ్చేష్టత. మ్రానుపడు, మ్రాన్పడు. మ్రానుచెందు, మ్రానుతేరు. మ్రానుపిల్లు or మ్రానుపిలు mrānu-paḍu. v. n. To be stunned, or become motionless. నిశ్చేష్టితుడగు. 'దిక్పతులుమ్రాన్పడియెద్దియు జేయజాలకె చిత్తరుబొమ్మలో యనవిచేష్టతనొందిన.' T. v. 144. మ్రానుపెట్టు mrānu-peṭṭu. v. a. To cause to be stunned, మ్రానుపడజేయు.

(p. 1079) ricca or రిచ్చపాటు riṭsṭsa. [Tel.] n. Horror, terror, stupefaction. నిశ్చేష్టత, ఏమియును తోచకయుండడము. దిగులు, వితాకు, మ్రానుపాటు.' మింటునుండుటగాదని యింటిపైకి, దెచ్చుకొంటినటంచుపెన్ రిచ్చవెడలు.' A. v. 155. రిచ్చగొను or రిచ్చవడు riṭsṭsa-gonu. v. n. To be horror-struck, to be stupefied. దిగులుపడు, వితాకుపడు, మ్రానుపడు. 'అచ్చటివార లాబాలగోపాలంబుగా వచ్చి రచ్చలుపడి చూచుచుండిరి.' Vish. vii. 139.

(p. 1364) stambhamu stambhamu. [Skt.] n. A pillar, a post, a stalf, a stem, trunk, కంబము, Stupidity, stupefaction. Stoppage or suppression of any sense or power caused by magical incantations or drugs, &c. ఊరకుండుట, మ్రామపాటు, నిలుపడము. అరటిస్తంభము the stem of a plantain tree. స్తంభనము stambhanamu. n. Stopping, obstruction, hindrance. నిలుపడము, ఆటంక పరచడము. అగ్నిస్థంభనము restraining the power of fire by magical means జలన్తంభనము continuing along while under water without inconvenience. వాయుస్థంభనము raising the body in the air and maintaining it in such a position without support. భూతస్థంభనము the laying of ghosts, &c. మృగస్తంభనము restraining wild beasts. ఖడ్గస్థంభనము preventing a sword from doing injury. గతిస్తంభనము stoppage, preventing a man from moving. స్తంభించు stam-bhinṭsu. v. n. To stop, to become motionless, stupefied or insensible, నిలిచిపోవు, మ్రానుపడు. ఈ మాటవిని స్థంభించి పోయినాడు on hearing this he stood stock-still. స్తంభించు or స్తంభింపజేయు stambhinṭsu. v. a. To strike dead, depriev of the power of moving, make motionless. కదలకుండా నిలిచేటట్టు చేయు, మ్రానుపడజేయు.
