(p. 80) ariga or అరిగె ariga. [Tel.] n. A large disk, like a shield, held in processions as a royal ensign. డాలువలె బ్రహ్మాండముగా నుండేటిది, దీన్ని రాజులయెదుట పట్టుకొనెదరు. 'తేరులుకలముల తెరుగునదిరుగగా గరులుమైననాగా దిగిరులబ్రోల, నరిగెబిళ్లలుకమాలకృతి మెరయుగా నడిదంబులను మీలననుకరింప.' G. i. 22.

(p. 93) avadagāki avada-gāki. [Tel.] n. An abominable wretch. పలుగాకి. 'దాచియెదురు పోయి దక్కిన గతి నువ్వునివ్వటిల్లవదన నీరజమున, కూర్చి చెట్టబట్టుకొని తెచ్చెలోపలి, కవదగాకినారియత్తలారి.' P. i. 592.

(p. 184) eṭṭayeduru eṭṭa-eduru. [Tel. ఎదురు+ఎదురు] adv. Exactly in front మిక్కిలి యెదురుగా.

(p. 215) oḷlu oḷḷu. [Tel. another form of ఒడలు] n. The body, person, figure. నీ ఒళ్లు ఎట్లా ఉన్నది how do you do? how are you? వానికి ఒళ్లు తిరుగుచున్నది he is giddy. వానికి ఒళ్లు తెలియలేదు he is unwell వానికి ఒళ్లుతలిములేదు he is out of his senses. ఒళ్లువంచి ఈ పని చేయవలసినది you must bend your back to this work. ఒంటి of the body; ఒంటికి to the body; ఒంట on the body. నీ ఒంటికావరమణతును I will crush your pride. వాడిని అన్నము ఒంటపట్టినది he digested the food. ఒళ్లుపెట్టు or ఒళ్లుపట్టు to become plump బలియు. మంత్రసానియెదుట ఒళ్లు దాచుతావా will you conceal your form in the midwife's presence, i.e., will you conceal the truth from your lawyer?

(p. 449) cukka ṭsukka. [Tel.] n. Any small mark; a dot or spot: a drop, a small quantity of liquid. బొట్టు. The round mark (తిలకము) worn on the forehead by Hindus. A star, నక్షత్రము. The planet Venus, శుక్రుడు. A pip on the dice or cards. A comet. తోకచుక్క. చుక్కతిరిగినది it is past midnight. చుక్కకాడ ṭsukka-kāḍa. n. An annual plant, a native of wet rice fields. Rox. iii. 762. బర్రింక. చుక్కలతెరువు the sky ఆకాశము. చుక్కలరేడు the moon. చుక్కవాలు ṭsukka-vālu. n. An evil planet or unlucky star. Particularly of Venus (ఛుక్క, i.e., శుక్రః) for the Hindus believe that every journey will turn out ill if on setting out this star faces them.

(p. 651) nijamu nijamu. [Skt.] n. Nature, స్వభావము. adj. Own, peculiar, native, తనది. Perpetual, eternal, శాశ్వతమైన. నిజపోష్యవర్గుడనైన నేను I who am your own dependant: this is a mere phrase like 'your most obedient servant.' The word నిజ prefixed to names of months, as నిజవైశాఖము denotes the proper month, not the అధికమాసము the intercalary month. నిజలాభతుష్టుడై being satisfied with his own resources. నిజస్థితి nija-sthiti. n. The real fact. నిజస్థుడు nijasthuḍu. n. A just upright man. నిజానుచరుడు nij-ānu-charuḍu. n. A personal attendant. ని౛ము niḍzamu. Truth, reality, సత్యము. Certainity, నిశ్చయము. adj. True, certain. సత్యము. Positive, actual ని౛ముగా niḍzamu-gā. adv. Actually, really, positively, truly. ని౛పరుచు or ని౛ముచేయు to verify, prove, try. ని౛పడు niḍza-paḍu. v. n. To be ascertained, verified, identified. ఇది నాకు ని౛పడినది I ascertained this. ని౛మరి niḍza-ari. n. A truthful man or woman. సత్యశీలుడు, సత్యవతి. 'గజిబిజిచేసి భూకాంతుని యెదుట. నిజమరివలె నెంత నిలువ నాడెదవు.' Sar. D. 586.

(p. 1137) valacu or వల్చు valaṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To smell or emit perfume. వాసనకొట్టు. 'గమగమవలచు చొక్కపుజవాది.' Swa. ii. 59. 'శ్వాపదంబులపదహతి వ్రస్సివలచి, వరుగు దరుచగు మురుత్రోవనరిగియెదుట.' A. vi. 18. టీ వలచు, కంపుకొట్టుచుండే v. a. To love, wish, long for, కామించు, మోహించు, కోరు, ఆశించు, అపేక్షించు. 'నాకెంతవలచియున్నది యహహోవినగవలతు.' P. iii. 308. వలపు or వల్పు valapu. n. 'కసటు వోపన్నీటగడిచి పువ్వులతావివలనైనకమ్మజవ్వాది వలపునెరప.' T. iii. 131. టీ వలపు, వా సనను. వలపించు valapinṭsu. v. a. To inveigle, tempt, enamour or cause to love. మోహింపజేయు, వలపించుట valapintsuṭa. n. Enamouring, tempting. మోహింపజేయడము. 'సయ్యాటముల్ వింతలున్ గిలిగింతల్ వలపించుటల్ చతురతల్.' H. i. 293. వలపుకాడు valapu-kāḍu. n. A lover, an amorous person. కామముగలవాడు. కాముకుడు. వలపుకత్తె or వలపుకత్తియ valapu-katte. n. An amorous woman, కామము గలది. కాముకి. వలపుకీలు Same as పోకముడి. (q.v.) వలపుమోపరి valapu-mōp-ari. n. Lit: The bearer of scents, i.e., the air, వాయువు. గంధవహుడు. వలపులరేడు or వలపురాయడు valapula-rēḍu. n. The god of love.మన్మథుడు. వలవని or వల్వని valavani. adj. (p. 1329) sāhiṇamu sāhiṇamu. [Tel.] n. A stable. గుర్రపుసాల. సాహిణి or సాహిణీ sāhiṇi. n. A groom, a horsekeeper, రవుతు, గుర్రపువాడు.
