(p. 192) ellāpi ellāpi. [Tel. ఎల్ల+ఆపి] n. One who robs people within a certain tract of country. ఒక యెల్లయందుండి దోచుకొనేవాడు A rogue, a swindler. దొంగ. ఎల్లాపితనము ellāpi-tanamu. n. Cunning, guile, roguery, swindling. ఎల్లాపికత్తె ellāpi-katte. n. A female swindler. ఎల్లాపికత్తె

(p. 192) elluṇḍi elluṇḍi. [Tel. ఎల్లి+ఉండి] n. The day after to-morrow. రేపటయెల్లుంట either to-morrow or the day after.

(p. 270) kāni or గాని kāni. [Tel.] (conj. denoting an alternative.) But, either, or, except, unless. And not, nor, Rather, Before. జాజియొక్కటియెకాని సకలకుసమ విసరసంపదచేనొప్పె వసుధయెల్ల , విరహణియెకానిధరణిపై వివిధజనులు సంతసములొందజేసె వసంతవేళ.' Sunandā Parinyam, iv. 22. 'ఆలలు మగనిమాట కడ్డంబు వచ్చెనా ఆలలుకాదది వానివ్రాలుకాని.' (Vēma.) ఇంతేకాని నేనేమెరుగను I know nothing but this. ఇదియేమోకాని I cannot tell what this may be. అదిగాని యిదిగాని either that or this. ఆపని పది దినములకుగాని కాదు that work cannot be finished in less than ten days. రేపుగాని రాడు he will not come here before to-morrow. ఉద్యోగము చిక్కుననే అపేక్ష ఉంటేగాని నేను అక్కడ ఉండను I would not have remained there had I not hoped to gain employment. ఇది అతని చేతగాని మరి యొకనిచేతకాదు he alone can do it, no one else can. ఎల్లవిధముల నిను వధియించిగాని పురికి నురుగముగావున for we will not return without slaying thee. అతడు వస్తేనేగాని యీపని కానేరదు unless he comes we cannot effect this. కాని or కానీ (for కానిమ్ము) imp. verb denoting assent. Let it be done. Be it so. Never mind. Very well. ఆ పని ముందరకానీ let that be done first. కానీ కానీ నీ కావరమణతు very well, I will crush your pride.

(p. 439) cakki or చక్కియ ṭsakki. [Tel.] n. A side, పార్శ్వము. A part place స్థానము. ఆచక్కికిన్ there, to that place: so, thus, that way. ఏచక్కి where. కటిచక్కి the loin. చక్కియెల్ల every limb or part. చక్కిని, చక్కిన్ near, close by.

(p. 771) puruḍu puruḍu. [Tel.] n. Likeness, similarity. సమానత, సామ్యము. 'అప్పుడు ప్రభాకరుండు నభోమధ్యంబునకు వచ్చి వెలుంగుచున్న నతనితోడి పురుడునం దేజో మహిమందలకొన్న తెరంగున మెరుంగు వాలమ్ములను కిరణంబులు పరగించుచు.' M. vi. ii. 136. 'ధరణిగలరాజు లెల్లను పురుడనగాంపిల్యనగరమున కఠిగెదరొండొరుల గడవంగవని భూసురవరు డెరిగించె వృషదసుతుకథయెల్లన్.' M. I. vii. 34.

(p. 775) pullabaḍu or పుల్లపడు pulla-baḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be stunned, మ్రానుపడు, స్తంభించు, నిశ్చేష్టితుడగు. 'క పుల్లవడిచలమురోషము, బొల్లైననతండు కొంతప్రొద్దుమొగమునన్, వెల్లదనము గదురనిలిచి, యెల్లజనులువినగమరియు నిట్లనిపలికెన్.' M. III. iv. 371.

(p. 801) pondu or ఒందు pondu. [Tel.] v. n. To wink, (కన్ను) వాలు. To gain, obtain, get, acquire. To reach, attain to. To have, enjoy. To suffer, experience, meet with joy, grief or death, &c. ప్రాపించు. వానిని లక్ష్మిపొందినది good luck has be fallen him. అవమానమును పొందినాడు he incurred disgrace. సంతోషమును పొందినాడు he was pleased. నష్టమును పొందినాడు he incurred loss. విఘ్నమొందక meeting with no obstacle or cheek. నరకమును పొందినాడు he fell into hell. కన్నుపొందు to sleep. 'ఆ కడుపు నిండగుడువ గానమిరేయెల్ల, గన్నుపొందకున్న కరముడస్సి, యున్నవాడనాకు.' M. I. vi. 322. కన్నుపొందకున్న, అనగా నిద్రలేకుండా ఉండడముచేత. Also, to have intercourse with. కలయు. n. Fitness. suitability, agreement. పొందిక intercourse, friendship, స్నేహము. Joining, union, సంధి. The act of obtaining a thing ప్రాప్తి. Sameness, want of difference, అభేదము. Agreeableness, అనుకూల్యము. adj. Friendly, స్నేహితుడు. 'రాలపొందెరింగి రాలగూర్చినభంగిలోను పొందెరింగిలోనుపరచి.' Vēma. 637. పొందుకాడు ponḍu-kāḍu. n. A friend, స్నేహితుడు. పొందుకొను pondu-konu. v. n. To be fixed or established, నెలకొను. పొందుపడు pondu-paḍu. v. n. To be agreeable or fit, సరిపడు, అనుకూలించు. పొందుపాటు ponda-pāṭu. n. Convenience, suitability, aid, help. వానికి ఆ రూకలు పొందుపాటు కాలేదు he could not get the money. పొందుపాటుచేయు to arrange, అనుకూలముచేయు. పొందించు pondinṭsu. To cause to obtain, get, or experience. నన్ను ఈ శ్రమ పొందించినారు they caused me this trouble. 'మగువత నంబునజగముల తగులము బొందింప గొంతదడవెముకుందా.' B. viii. 446. పొందిక pondika. n., Fitness, agreement, aptness. ఇమిడిక. Intercourse, సహవాసము, కలయిక. 'సీతాకాంతముని స్త్రీల పొందిక లుమరగి.' R. v. 59.

(p. 1178) vinōdamu vinōdamu. [Skt.] n. Play, sport, pastime; an interesting pursuit, pleasure. స్త్రీ పురుషులు క్రీడాదులచేత కాలయాపనచేయడము, క్రీడ, వేడుక విలాసము. మృగయావినోదము pleasures of the chase. 'ఇమ్మెయి బ్రహ్మాండ ప్రళయంబులనేకములుచనియెనవియెల్లవినోదమ్ములు నారాయణునకు.' Vish. i. 54. వినోది vinōdi. n. One who is delighted or made happy, one who delights in. ఉల్లాసముగలవాడు. కలహవినోది one who loves quarrelling. 'కర్మాకర్మములొక్కటికర్మవినోదునకు తత్వఘనును దెలియున్.' Vēma. 529. విప్రవినోదులు sham priests, a certain caste of beggars who call themselves Brahmins. వినోదించు vinōdinṭsu. v. n. To revel, play, sport, rejoice, సంతోషించు, క్రీడించు, క్రీడాదులచేత ప్రొద్దుపుచ్చు.

(p. 1231) vaihāḷi vaihāḷi. [Skt.] n. Same as వాహ్యాళి (q. v.) Also, Tumult. సందడి. 'భట్టియు నంగాధీశ్వరుమడును నిలునంబడి విస్తారంబుగాగలు గవైహాళిదీర్చి యెల్లజనులగూర్చుండ నియమించిగల భలుపుట్టకుండ నెడనెడందలవరులనిలిపి.' G. vii. 63.

A place, situation, spot, site, ground, space, a home, abode, position, post, dignity, స్థలము, ప్రదేశము, పదము, ఉనిపట్టు. త్రిస్థానములు three shrines; these are ద్రాక్షారామము, భీమేశ్వరము, శ్రీశైలము. 'ధరణీశయెల్ల తీర్థంబులు చూచుచువెలసిన త్రిస్థానములకునేగి.' G. vi. 124. ఆయన నాకు పితృస్థానముననున్నాడు he is in the place of my father. ఏకస్థానము the unit's place, any number under ten. దశస్థానము the ten's place. శతస్థానము the hundred's place. స్థానికము sthānikamu. adj.
