(p. 28) accu aṭṭsu. n. A stamp, a form for printing or for any other impression, a type, a printing press. An axle-tree. A mould. The handle of a handmill, A weaver's reed or stay. An image, or picture. ప్రతి రూపమును కల్పించేటిది, ఇరుసుమాను, తిరగటి పిడి, బట్ట వేసేటందుకు సాధనమైనది, ప్రతిబింబము. పోత అచ్చు the mould wherein clay or metal is cast. ఇటికె అచ్చు the box or mould used in making bricks. అచ్చక్షరములు printed letters. అచ్చువేయు to print. ఇంకా అచ్చువేయని unprinted, unpublished.అచ్చువేసేవాడు a printer. అక్షరాల అచ్చులు types of letters. బెల్లపు అచ్చు a square mould into which boiled treacle is poured, and thus formed into cakes. అచ్చుబెల్లము a lump of jaggery, అచ్చొత్తు to seal, impress with a mark, to print అచ్చుకూటము (a Madras word,) A printing press office ముద్రాశాల. అచ్చుబల్ల the frame on which a weaver's reed is fixed. అచ్చువేసినయెద్దు a 'brahminy' bull that is marked or stamped and is allowed to wander at large, as consecrated to the deity. అచ్చుకట్టు or అచ్చుకట్టువేయు v. a. To prepare land for wet cultivation by throwing up banks to divide it into plots, partitions or beds. మళ్లుగా ఏర్పరచు అచ్చుకట్టించినమడి or అచ్చుకట్టు పొలము a field which is divided into beds for wet cultivation. అచ్చులపోయు to find yarn on the frame for weaving (Cuddapa.) అచ్చుగా aṭṭsu-gā. [Tel.] adv. Precisely, exactly, clearly, evidently. 'పిచ్చుకపై బ్రహ్మాస్తము నచ్చుగ దొడిగినవితాన.' T. iv. 22.

(p. 387) goḍḍa goḍḍa. [Tel.] n. Hardness. బిరుసు. A hard word బిరుసుమాట. A hard man బిరుసువాడు. గొడ్డగము goḍḍagamu. adj. Troublesome బాధకము. గొడ్డతనము goḍḍa-tanamu. n. Stubbornness మొండితనము. 'గొడ్డతనంబున గోపతిధ్వజుడు సడ్డచేయక కొంత సన్నంబు దొడ్డు.' Mari Basava. 62. గొడ్డము goḍḍamu. n. Evil, danger, deadly peril. 'విమనృపరాజ్యామిషముంగొనపలువు చేత ప్రాణగొడ్డంబైయున్ననను.' M. Santi. ii. 208. 'ప్రాణగొడ్డములగుపనులు వారలుదీర్పన్.' M. Udy. i. 232. 'నీకు ప్రాణగొడ్డంబుసేయందలంచె.' M. Udy. iii. 162.

(p. 886) birusu birusu. [Tel.] adj. Hard, firm, coarse, harsh, rough. అన్నము బిరుసుగానున్నది the rice is hard, not being sufficiently boiled. తలబిరుసుమనిషి a stubborn man. n. Briskness, hardness, firmness, roughness, harshness to the touch. కాఠిన్యము. బిరుసుగ birusu-ga. adv. Harshly, roughly. బిరుసులు birusulu. n. A sort of fire work called flowerpots. బాణసంచు విశేషము. 'బిరుసులు తుపాకులు బాణంబులనగ్ని ముట్టించి.' Sūrya Tanaya. iv. 122.

(p. 961) maligaṇḍlu mali-ganḍlu. [Tel. మలి + కండ్లు.] n. Stones separated from grain by winnowing. Light grains which are worthless. తరకలు, నూకనుచ్చు. 'అళ్లుచేసి మలచి యలిగండ్లుమలిగండ్లు, తిరిపెమిడెడుకటికదేబెలెల్ల, నెలమిమమన్నుదిసెడు నెర్రలౌదురుసుమీ.' Vēma. iii. 34. 'ద్వి మలిగండ్లుదీసిన మంచిబియ్యములు, నిలుచువిధంబున నిస్సారదుష్ట, వాసన నెంతయువడికడకొత్త, భాసురజ్ఙానసంపద వృద్ధిబొందు.' L. xxiv. 57.

(p. 1067) ravēsu or రవీసు ravēsu. [H.] n. Customary fees, రుసుము. Grandeur. adj. Best. రవేసు ఆకులు the best betel leaves, లేతాకులు.

(p. 1082) rusumu rusumu. [H.] n. A fee, a bribe; commission, brokerage. Customs, taxes, dues.

(p. 1312) salaga , సలుగ or సలువ salaga. [Tel.] n. or interj. So much! A word used in measuring grain, &c.; one lot of 20 or 100 from which a new reckoning begins. The handful of grain, &c., put down as a mark of reckoning. A fee rater at 16 or 18 మానికలు to the putti, or two rupees per kuchchela (కుచ్చెల.) ధాన్యము కొలవడములో కొత్తలెక్క మొదలుపెట్టునప్పుడు అనేమాట, అప్పుడు దోసిలోతో ఎత్తి కుప్పగా పోసేధాన్యము, పుట్టికింత అని యిచ్చేరుసుము. నూటికిపొడిచి సలగంటాడు he kills one hundred and cries 'That's one lot

(p. 1332) siddāyamu siddāyamu. [from Skt. సిద్ధాయః.] n. Saving in expenditure, economy. Embezzlement, pickings. A tax, fee. కర్చుకు ఇచ్చిన దానిలో కొంచెము కొంచెముగా తీసికొని కూడబెట్టడము, అపహరించడము, వర్తన, రుసుము.
