(p. 76) ammanalu or అమ్మనములు ammanalu. [Tel.] n. A game wherein a number of balls are thrown into the air, one being caught in the hand descending whilst others are rising: అణంగులు గుండ్లను ఎగరవేసి ఆడే ఆట. 'గుజగుజరేకులు గుజ్జనగూళ్లను బొమ్మలపెండ్లిండ్లు నమ్మములు.' N. ix. 101.

(p. 268) kāṭuka kāṭuka [Tel.] n. Lampblack. Mildew in grain. Eyesalve, or sulphuret of antimony. Collyrium, a paste made of lampback and oil and applied to the eyes to increase their brilliancy. It is also supposed to assist in conjuring and giving second sight. అంజనము. కాటుక is listre or dark brown. లక్ష్మీకాటుకలు a species of grain. మందుకాటుక love powders or eyesalve. భూతకాటుక magic powder. కాటుకవలె నూరినాడు he beat it to the consistency of paste. adj. Dark. deep in colour, dark brown, but distinct from black నల్ల. కాటుకపచ్చ dark green విడిపచ్చ light green. కాటుకకన్నులు bright black eyes. కాటుకపట్టు kaṭuka-paṭṭu v. n. To become black నలుపు పారు. కాటుకపిట్ట kāṭuka-piṭṭa. n. A wagtail see జిట్టంగి and దాసరిపిట్ట. కాటుకరాయి kāṭuka-rāyi. n. Sulphuret of antimony సౌవీరాంజనము. కాటుక రేకులపొడ or వులివెంజర kāṭuka-rēkula-poḍ a. n. A certain venomous snake.

(p. 373) guzaguza or గు౛గు౛లు gụzaguza. [Tel.] n. Whispering. గు౛గు౛రేకులు guza-guza-rēkulu. n. The game called Puss in the Corner. Dasav. ix. 101. గు౛గు౛లాడు or గు౛గు౛పోవు guzaguza-l-āḍu. v. n. To whisper: to agonize or be in trouble. త్రొక్కటపడు guza-gumpulu. గు౛గుంపులు n. Whispering: doubt, hesitation, trouble.

Honey of flowers, మకరందము. పూనీరు pū-nīru. n. Essence, distilled water. ఆవిరినీళ్లు, హిమాంబువు, పన్నీరు. పూనూక pū-nuka. n. Very fine grits of grain, మిక్కిలి సన్ననూక. పూనూనె pū-nūne. n. The oil extracted from the Champaka flower, సంపంగి నూనె. పూబాళ pū-bāḷe. (పూ+పాళ.) n. A bunch of flowers, as of an areca palm, &c. పూబిందె pū-binde. n. A very tender fruit, with the flower still attached to it. పూబోడి, పూబోణి or పువ్వుబోడి pū-bōḍi. n. A beautiful woman, lit: one of a flower-like form. పూరేకు pū-rēku. (పూవు+రేకు.) n.
