(p. 376) gudi gudi. [Tel.] n. A bunch or cluster. గుత్తి. A staff. A string of dried fish, leaves, &c. సరము. మచ్చుల గుది a bunch or set of anything as samples. గాజులగుదికి రోకలి బూనినట్లు a bunch of glass bracelets do not require a rice-pounder to break them. గుదికాలు gudi-kālu. n. The heel. మడిమె (plu. గుదికాళ్లు). గుదికాళ్లనరము తెగగొట్టుట to hamstring. గుదికర్ర gudi-karra. n. A clog suspended from the neck of a beast to prevent it from straying. గుదికొను gudi-konu. v. a. To excel. అతిశయించు, చెలరేగు. To become close or thick దట్టమగు. To fall down with a thud. మాటవలె కూలబడు. 'గుదికొనివెన్నాడు కుసుమపుంజముతోడ.' Ila. i. 10. 'హృదయముపదిలంబైతే, గుదికొను సన్యాసమునకు కొమ్ములుగలవా.' Vema. iii. 197.

(p. 851) prōka , ప్రోగు, ప్రోవు or పోగు prōka. [Tel.] n. A heap, multitude, or assemblage, రాశి, సమూహము. 'పుణ్యములనుపాపములను రెండుప్రోకలైయుండు.' M. XIII. i. 47. ప్రోగగు prōgagu. v. n. To gather, assemble, come together. ప్రోగుచేయు prōgu-chēyu. v. n. To gather, bring together, accumulate.

(p. 858) baṇḍa banḍa. [Tel.] n. A rock, a block or slab of stone. రాయి, వెడల్పురాయి. A short pounder or pestle without a ferrule, పొన్నులేని రోకలి, పొట్టిరోకలి. A much used block, a worn out stone. అరిగినది. (Meta-phorically), a block head, an obstinate, stubborn man. adj. Shameless, importunate. Mischievous, naughty, wicked, obscene, indecent, ఆకతాయి. బండాట banḍāṭa. (బండ+ఆట.) n. Mischief, naughtiness, ఆకతాయితనము. బండవ్యాజ్యము a litigious case. బండడు, బండ or బండగుడు banḍaḍu. n. A dullard, a mischievous person, a stupid man. బండవాడు banḍavāḍu. n. A class of beggars, who go with a stone in their hands with which they threaten to beat out their brains unless relieved, రాయియెత్తుకొని వచ్చి అడుగుకొనేవాడు.

(p. 1012) musalamu musalamu. [Skt.] n. A club, a pestle. రోకలి, రోకలివంటి ఆయుధము. ముసలాయుధుడు he who is armed with a club. ముసలకిసలయము musata-kisala-yamu. n. 'Club blossoms.', (an expression similar to 'milk from a stone') the name of a certain book.

(p. 1089) rōkali rōkali. [Tel.] n. A wooden pestle, a rice-pounder, ముసలము. 'వెర్రితీరె, రోకలి తలచుట్టు.' (KP. ii. 116.) my madness is over, so I will make a turban of the poker. In D. Abhim, page 42 is a proverb, 'గాజులగుదికి రోకలిబూనినట్లు.' రోకటికిచిగురుపట్టుట a strange thing. రోకటిబండ or రోకలిబండ rōkaṭi-banḍa. n. A large brown millepede that rolls itself up like a spring on being touched. శతపది, క్రిమివిశేషము. A small wooden pestle without iron ferrules at the ends. పొన్నులులేని చిన్నరోకలి.

(p. 1123) vaṭṭa vaṭṭa. [Tel.] n. The bar that turns the centre post of a sugar mill. చెరుకుగానుగ రోటినడిమిరోకలికివేయు అడ్డమాను. వట్టకాయలు or వట్టలు vaṭṭa-kāyalu. n. plu. The testicles. వృషణములు, బీజములు. వట్టలుకొట్టు to castrate. lit: to strike the (bullock's) stones, (which are crushed with a mallet, not cut out.)
