To do good to, to ameliorate. To mend, trim, repair. To cure. To clean. To set right, rectify, make fit, చక్కబరచు. బాగుదార bāgu-dāra. n. A small knife, చిన్నకత్తి. బాగుపడు bagu-padu. v. n. To be benefited, to thrive, to prosper. To recover health. To be reformed. బాగులోకివచ్చు to prosper or thrive. బాగులోకి తెచ్చు to benefit, ameliorate, rectify. బాగులాడి bāgu-lāḍi. n. A beau, అందగత్తె. బాగులు bagulu. n. Gestures, acts. వెర్రిబాగులు foolish gestures. వెర్రిబాగులవాడు or వెర్రిబాగులమారి one who acts as a mad man. 'బాలెవుం బాగులుమాయగన్గొనగపట్టుక వచ్చితిమయ్య.' (p. 1101) lācu lātsu. [Tel from లాగు.] v. n. To lie in ambush, పొంచు. To oppose, కవియు. v. a. To pull, haul, ఈడ్చిపట్టు, లాగిపట్టు. 'వారికధ్వగులులాచి యిడువిడియములపేర.' A. ii. 69. (p. 1167) viccu vitsṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To become open or loose, to burst asunder, as a ripe fruit, to be cracked, split or broken, to be dispersed. విరియు, వికసించు, వీడు, చీలు. 'మబ్బొకయించుకవిప్పవిచ్చుమొగ్గయి మరిపారిపోదురు సమస్తదిశాగతులైనయధ్వగుల్.' A. iv. 170. మొగ్గవిచ్చినది the bud opened. దండువిచ్చి యథాయథలైపోయినది the army broke up and every man went his way. ఆ గోడ విచ్చినది a crack has opened in the wall. ఆ కుండ విచ్చినది the pot cracked. మూసలో లోహముకరిగి కన్ను విచ్చి అడుగునప్పుడు when the melted metal looks quite clear. v. a. To open, loosen, unite, undo; to spread, expand. విరియజేయు, విడిపించు. దాని కొప్పువిచ్చినాడు he untied her knot of hair. కన్నువిచ్చు వారినని చూచినాడు he opened his eyes and looked at them. పాము పడగవిచ్చినది the snake spread or expanded its crest. 'మేడిపండుచూడ మేలిమైయుండును పొట్టవిచ్చి చూడ పురుగులుండు.' Vema. 174. విచ్చు viṭsṭsu. n. The act of being scattered or dispersed, చెల్లాచెదరగుట. adj. Scattered, scattering. చెల్లాచెదరైన. చెల్లా చెదరుచేయునట్టు. విచ్చుకత్తి viṭsṭsu-katti. n. A drawn sword, ఒరదూసినకత్తి. విచ్చుటాకు viṭsṭsu-ṭ-āku. n. A coloured palmyra leaf rolled up and put in the pierced ears of women, in order to widen the bore for an earring. చెవ్వాకు. విచ్చుమొగ్గ viṭsṭsu-mogga. n. An opening bud, విరియుమొగ్గ.

(p. 1327) sārlā sārlā. [Tel.] n. Success, completion, achievement, good result. కార్యసిద్ధి, అనుకూలత. సార్లాఅగు sārlā-agu. v. n. To succeed, to be finished. సఫలమగు, అనుకూలమగు. ఆ పని సార్లాకేలేదు the undertaking did not succeed. సార్లాచేయు sārlā-chēyu. v. a. To settle, prepare, get ready, పరిష్కారము చేయు, సిద్ధముచేయు. దాన్ని సార్లాచేసుకొనెను he brought it about, settled it. అది సార్లాఅయినది the thing succeeded well. సార్లాపడు sārlā-paḍu. v. n. To be gained, to come to a good result, to prosper, అనుకూలపడు, సఫలమగు. సార్లాపరచు or సార్లాపెట్టు sārlā-paraṭsu. v. a. To bring about, get (a thing) done, get is settled. అనుకూలపరచు, తిర్చు.
