(p. 93) avadhānamu ava-dhānamu. [Skt.] n. Attention, care, regard. మనోయోగము, ఎచ్చరిక, అవధాని or అవధానుడు n. He who is attentive or careful. He who is skilled in the Vedas. ఎచ్చరికగలవాడు, జాగ్రతగలవాడు, వేదము బాగుగా వచ్చినవాడు. అష్టావధాని a versatile man; one who can attend to eight matters simultaneously. శతవధాని n. One who can attend to a hundred things at one and the same time.

(p. 554) tēra tēra. n. Clearness. తేట. Want of any relationship or connection. సంబంధము లేమి. adj. or adv. Gratis, unpaid for సంబంధము లేని. Uselessly, వ్యర్థముగా. Without any trouble, easily, అనాయాసముగా. తేరకొంప a rent-free lodging. తేరకాడు a stranger, అన్యుడు; a temporary husband ఔచిత్య భర్త. An interloper: one who enjoys gratis. పైపై వచ్చినవాడు. తేరకత్తె a strange woman అన్యురాలు, a woman of loose character. తేరగుర్రము తంగేటిబరికె when you ride gratis, you use your cudgel well. తెరకు or తేరకుదేర tēraku. adv. Quite uselessly మిక్కిలి వ్యర్థముగా. Easily, అనాయాసముగా, తేర or తేరగా [from తెచ్చు.] used with various verbs, as చనుదేర, పుత్తేర. ఏగుదేర while coming, while going. R. iii. 2. కొనితెర while he brought, కొని తెచ్చుచుండగా. తేరకొను tēra-konu. v. n. To become clear. తేటపడు. To abound, teem. తేటకొనన్ fully. సమృద్ధిగా, స్పష్టముగా. Swa. iii.

(p. 1058) yōgyamu yōgyamu. [Skt.] adj. Worthy, fit, proper, suitable, competent, clever, skilful. మంచి, తగిన, నేర్పుగల, శక్తిగల. యోగ్యత yōgyata. n. Ability, cleverness, skill, merit, worthiness, fitness, capacity, desert, respectability, అర్హత. యోగ్యుడు yōgyuḍu. n. One who is fit, proper, worthy,or deserving; an honest, respectable man. మంచివాడు, తగినవాడు. అర్హుడు. వ్యవహార యోగ్యుడు one who is legally of age, a free agent, వయసు వచ్చినవాడు. యోగ్యురాలు yōgyu-r-ālu. n. A woman who is fit, proper, or worthy; a decent, respectable woman. మంచిది, తగినది.

(p. 1130) vayasu or వయస్సు vayasu. [Skt.] n. Age, time of life, any period of life, ప్రాయము. ఈడు. Youth, యౌవనము. వయసువచ్చినవాడు a full grown boy. వయఃకాలము youth, maturity. వయసువచ్చినచిన్నది a grown girl. వయస్తంభము the art of prolonging youth by finding the philosopher's stone. 'వాద వయస్తంభవశ్యాషధములు.' L. vii. 370. వయసుది vayasu-di. n. A young woman. యౌవనవతి. వయసువాడు vayasu-vāḍu. n. A young man. యౌవనవంతుడు. వయస్థుడు vayas-thuḍu. n. A man in the prime of life. పడుచువాడు. వయస్య vaya-sya. n. A female friend. చెలికత్తె, సఖి. వయస్యుడు vayasyuḍu. n. An equal, a friend. స్నేహితుడు, సఖుడు.

(p. 1163) vindu vindu. [Tel. cf. Tam. విరుందు.] n. A treat, entertainment, banquet, feast. An invitation. Hospitality, ఆతిథ్యము, ప్రార్థనాపూర్వక భోజనము. A guest, భోజనమునకు వచ్చినవాడు, భోజనమునకువచ్చినస్త్రీ, అతిథి. A relation, చుట్టము. కన్నులకువిందుగానుండే a feast for the eyes, a delicious or alluring sight. 'చూడ్కివిందొనరించి.' N. ix. 276. మాకు విందులేనికూడు మందు a dinner without a guest is medicine with us, i.e., we seldom dine without friends. 'కొండముచ్చునకును కోతియువిందౌ.' Vema. 1783. తమ్మిపూవిందు the friend of the lotus, i.e., the sun. R. v. 175. విందుచేయు or విందుపెట్టు vindu-chēyu. v. n.
