(p. 215) olucu olutsu. [Tel.] v. a. To peel, shell, flay. To pare off, tear off. తోలూడ్చు. ఒలిచినపప్పు grain cleaned from the husk. ఒలవనిపప్పు grain in the husk. పండు ఒలిచి అరచేతపెట్టినట్టు చెప్పినాడు he said (it) as plainly as a fruit is peeled from its skin and placed in the hand; he gave a graphic description. (p. 215) ovvu ovvu. [Tel.] v. i. To agree with, గిట్టు, సరిపడు. To assent, consent. ఒవ్వమి ovvami. n. Refusal. ఒప్పమి. ఒవ్వనివారు those who hate, or disagree గిట్టనివారు ఒవ్వు ovvu. n. A sheaf of corn.

(p. 282) kitavamu kitavamu. [Skt.] n. Mischief, malice. కితవవనిత a wicked jade. కితన వ్యవహారము mischief, a base pursuit, i.e., gambling. కితవార్భకుడు kitav-ārbha-kuḍu. One who pretends to be a mere child. మాయబిడ్డ. కితవుడు kitavuḍu. A gambler, a cheat. జూదరి, మోసకాడు.

(p. 374) guḍi guḍi. [Tel.] n. A circle. The name of the secondary form of the vowel ఇ. A temple. A halo round the sun or moon. గుడివచ్చి మీదపడినట్లు to meet harm where none was expected. గుడికట్టు guḍi-kaṭṭu. n. The round or total extent of land under a village: a district. గుడికొను guḍi-konu. v. n. To spread. క్రమ్ము. 'క అడలుచుబెదవులుతడుపుచు గుడికొనుకన్నీరు గ్రుక్కికొనుచున్ మదిలో నుడుగని నెంజిలినేమియు నుడువనియమ్మానధను గనుంగొనివేగన్.' స్వా. iii.

(p. 377) gubaguba or గుభగుభ gubaguba. [Tel.] n. Hubbub. గుబగుబలు లేనికూటమి meeting without tumult. అక్కడ ఏమి గుబగుబలు what is the uproar? వారేమో గుబగుబలాడుచున్నారు there is some stir among them. adv. Tumultuously: with indistinct accents. పిల్లకాయలు గుబగుబపరుగెత్తిరి the boys ran along noisily. 'గుబగుబమని పల్కు కోకిలపల్కులు, విని యివి నేర్తువా యనుచు నవ్వు.' T. ii. 97. సముద్రము గుబగుబలాడుచున్నది the sea roars aloud. ఊరంతా గుబగుబలాడు తున్నది all the village is up, in a stir, or in a ferment. గుబాటున gubāṭuna. adv. All at once, in a moment.బాటు౛డివానలు sudden showers. గుబాదెబ gubā-deba. adv. Bang! slapdash. 'గుబాదెబ వీధుల వెంటజంటలై' H. v. 191. వాణ్ని గుబాదెబగుద్దినారు they beat him thoroughly. గుబాలు or గుబేలు gubālu. n. A bang! a loud sound. గుబాలను to bang, to make a noise. గుబాలున or గుభాలున all at once. Bang! crashingly. నీళ్లలో బాలునదుమికినాడు he leapt slapdash into the water. గుబాలుమన్న ధ్వనివింటిని I heard an explosion or a bang. గుబాళించు gubā-ḷ-inṭsu. v. n. To be emitted or burst forth, as scent. 'కమ్మతావిగుబాళించు తమ్మికొలను' a pond perfumed with lilies. Vijaya. i. 162.

(p. 402) ghōṣa ghōsha. [Skt.] n. A loud noise, a cry, a roar, an exclamation, proclamation, news. వేదఘోషతో కూడా సాగిపోయిరి they set forth in procession preceded by Brahmins who chanted verses from the Vedas. ఘోషాక్షరము an aspirated consonant. ఘోషము n. A hamlet where herdsmen dwell. గొల్లపల్లె. ఘోషకన్య ghōsha-kanya. n. A milkmaid. ఘోషణము ghōshaṇamu. n. A roaring noise, a clamour, an uproar. చాటించడము. ఘోషించు ghōshinṭsu. v. n. To sound, roar, resound, clamour, exclaim, cry. ధ్వనిచేయు, మ్రోయు, చాటించు. ఘోషుడు ghōshuḍu. n. A shepherd or herdsman, గొల్లవాడు.
