(p. 569) trāḍu Same as తాడు a rope. A ray of light. కిరణము. త్రాడుదాలువు an epithet of Varuṇa వరుణుడు. త్రాడుపడు trāḍu-paḍu. v. n. To become lean as a thread, to become emaciated, కృశించు, దారమగు.

(p. 825) pracētasuḍu or ప్రచేతుడు prachētasuḍu [Skt.] n. The god of the ea, i.e., Varuna, వరుణుడు.

(p. 1055) yādamu or యాదస్సు yādamu. [Skt.] n. Any cruel aquatic or amphibious animal. క్రూరజలజంతువు. యాదఃపతి, యాదసాంపతి or యాదోనాథుడు yādah-pati. n. The king of the sea-monsters, i.e., Varuna or Neptune. వరుణుడు. The Ocean, సముద్రుడు.

(p. 1133) varuṇuḍu varuṇuḍu. [Skt. cf. Gk. Ouranos.] n. Varuna, the Hindu Neptune, who is the god of the waters and regent of the west. ఒకదిక్పాలుడు, నీటిరేడు, వరుణజపము a prayer offered to Varuna for rain in time of drought. వరుణము varuṇaṃu. n. Water, జలము.

(p. 1142) valle or వల్లియ valle. [Tel.] A noosed rope: a noose for catching cattle. పోవుచున్న యెద్దును కొమ్ములకువేసి పట్టుకొనే త్రాడు. పాశము. The noose of Varuṇa. 'వచ్చిమాయున్నపొలమెలల్ల వల్లెవైచుచుందమున జుట్టుకొనిన.' P. ii. 205. టీ వల్లెవైచుచందమున, వల్లెత్రాడువేసినట్టువలెనే. Repetition, చెప్పినది మరల మరల చెప్పుట. adv. Yes. సరే. 'క వల్లెయనిరాజనందను, లెల్ల నుసమకట్టి.' భార. అది. iii. వల్లెతాలుపు, వల్లెతాల్పు an epithet of Varuṇa, వరుణుడు, వల్లెవాటు or వలెవాటు valle-vāṭu. n. A scarf, a term for the upper garment, if gracefully arranged round the neck. సొగసుగావేసికొన్నఉత్తరీయము, వల్లెయొక్కవాటువంటివాటు.

(p. 1349) sūryuḍu sūryuḍu. [Skt.] n. The sum. భాస్కరుడు. సూర్యకాంతము sūrya-kāntamu. n. The sun-gem tourmaline, అదిత్యశిల, సూర్యరశ్మితగులుటచేట నిప్పుకలిగెడు ఒక విధమైన రాయి. A well known medicinal herb. సూర్యకాంతిపుష్పము or సూర్యావర్తము sūrya-kānti-pushpamu. n. The sun-flower. Helianthus annuuṣ. పొద్దుతిరుగుడుపువ్వు. సూర్యపటము Same as సూరపటము. (q. v.) సూర్యపాను sūrya-pānu. n. A triangular perpendicular paraso or fan, resembling a fire screen. See సురేపాను. సూర్యపుటము sūrya-puṭamu. n. Exposure to the sun. ఎండబెట్టడము. సూర్యపుటముపెట్టు to inspissate fluid medicines or extracts by exposure to the sun. సూర్యపుత్రుడు sūrya-putruḍu. n. The son of Hellus: an epithet of Ṣani, of Yama and the Varuna. శనిగ్రహము, యముడు, వరుణుడు. సుర్యప్రభ sūrya-prabha. n. The disc or orb of the sun; also a vehicle or seat with a gift aureole, సూర్యబింబము, ఒక దేవత వేంచేయు సూర్యాకారమైన వాహనము. సూర్యవాద్యము sūrya-vādyamu. n. A tambourine or small double tabor. పాగామీద కట్టుకొనివాయించే సూర్యాకారమైన చర్మవాద్యము.
