(p. 989) mīṭu mīṭu. [Tel.] v. a. To fillip, fling, toss. వీణెమీటు to touch the lute. గోటమీటు to flick away or fling from the nail. గుర్రమును మీటు to spur a horse. చెక్కుమీటు to touch or scratch (the cheek) with the nail. తేలుమీటినది the scorpion stung (him) 'నిజాంగుష్ఠంబునగొని పరియోజనములు పోవగమీటెన్.' R. v. 293. 'చెక్కుమీటిన వసకారుశిశువు.' Vish. ii. 62. 'తేలనుచు బిగియబట్టిన మేలెరుగునె మీటుగాక.' Vēma 1087. 'తోదోపులమీరిమేటిరవుతుల్ తురంగంబులమీటిపిల్వ.' T. v. 22. 'విడుమంచుసీత్కృతితో గోటజెక్కుమీటు.' N. vii. 158. మీటు. n. A touch, fillip, toss. Greatness, grandeur. ఉద్రేకము, పెంపు, గొప్ప. 'అలరితొలకరి తరి పేరియాటవాడు, మీటువాటిల్ల వలరాజుమెచ్చువడసి.' R. vi. 18.

(p. 1171) viḍu viḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To separate, become loose, వీడు. To fall asunder, తనకుతానేవదలు, వీడిపోవు, విరిసిపోవు. 'నీళ్లమీదబుగ్గ నిలిచిన యప్పుడు తళ్లువేగవచ్చితాకుగాక, వడెడుకుండకింత విభ్రాంతిపడుదురు.' Vēma. 70. v. a. To relinquish, leave, quit, abandon, give up, loosen, untie, undo, let go, release, separate, త్యజించు, మానుకొను, వదలు, విచ్చు. విప్పు, వీడ్చు, విడుగడ or విడుగర viḍu-gaḍa. n. Release, liberation. విడుదల, విమోచనము. 'ఉర్రిద్రెవ్వగొరికి యిప్పుడ వెరవారగనేనునీకు విడగరనేయం దొరకొనుట నీదుభాగ్యం బరితత్వము దొరగిమైత్రియలవరపు మదిన్.' M. XII. iii. 207. 'అన్యదేశ్యునధర్మువిడుము.' A. iv. 257. విడుగు viḍugu. v. n. To blow or expand, as a flower, వికసించు. 'ముడిగెతొగలడగెరిక్కలు విడిగె పయోజమ్ములుడిగెవెన్నెల.' S. I. 164. విడదొక్కు or విడద్రొక్కు viḍa-dokku. v. a. To allot, set aside, grant, as land. విడిచు ఇచ్చు. ఆయూరికింద నాయూరి పొలములో కొంతభూమి విడదొక్కినారు they allotted some land from one village to that village. విడనాడు viḍa-n-āḍu. v. a. To cast off, desert, quit, relinquish, divorce. విడుచు, విడిచిపెట్టు, వదులు. 'కూళగూళమెచ్చు గుణవంతు విడనాడి.' Vēma. 1752. విడబడు or విడవడు viḍa-baḍu. v. n. To escape, get free, break loose, వీడు, విచ్చలవిడియగు, కట్టువదిలించుకొని నిరంకుశముగానుండు, తెగనుండి వేరుపడు. నిర్భందమునుండి తొలగు. To slip, ౛ోరు.' అతని మహోద్దండగజము, తన్ను దామరచి మదగ్రస్తయగుచు. కడదిమావంతుని బడఝూళిచేసి విడివడిదండెల్ల విరియ దోలుచును.' B. D. iv. 352. అది విడివడిమాట్లాడినది she shook off all shame and spoke.

(p. 1172) viḍucu or విడ్చు viḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. &a. To relinquish, leave, quit, abandon, give up, loosen, slacken, untie, undo, To cease, to terminate. చాలించుకొను, మానుకొను, వదలుకొను. ఆ చెట్టు నాలుగు కొమ్మలు విడిచినది that tree has produced four branches. వానవిడిచెను the rain is over. గ్రహణము విడిచినది the eclipse is now over. చీడవిడిచినది the plague has ceased. అంటువిడిచినది the impurity has passed away. దయ్యమువిడిచినది the demon has quitted him or let him go. క్రోధమునువిడిచినాడు he has laid aside his wrath. చేనిలో ఆవును మేయవిడిచినాడు he let the cow go to graze on the crop. ఆహారమునువిడిచెను he gave up eating. ప్రాణమునువిడిచెను he gave up eating. ప్రాణమునువిడిచెను he gave up the ghost. ఆమె కన్నీళ్లువిడిచెను she shed tears. బాణమువిడుచు to discharge a rocket. ఆ కోటును విడిచిపోయిరి they quitted the fort. తర్పణమువిడుచు to perform a certaian rite. పట్టినపట్టు విడువడు he will never let go his hold.కుమార్తెను అత్తవారియింట విడిచినాడు he left his daughter at the house of her mother-in-law. దినమువిడిచి దినము on alternate days, every other day. బట్టలువిడుచు to strip. ఊపిరివిడుచు to breathe. వారిని చెయ్యి విడిచినాడు he abandoned them. 'కొంగుకాసువిడిచిగొబ్బుననీరాదు.' Vema. 171. విడిచిపెట్టు viḍichi-peṭṭu. v. a. To relinquish, leave, quit, abandon, give up. To loosen, untie, undo, చాలించుకొను, వదలు. విడిపించు viḍipinṭsu. v. a. To loose, let go, release. విడిచిపెట్టు, వదలు, పోనిచ్చు. విడిపించుకొను viḍipinṭsu-konu. v. n. To escape, get free, break loose, విడివడు, వదలించుకొను. విడుత viḍuta. n. A time, తడవ. ఒకవిడుత once. రెండువిడుతలు twice. విడుదల, విడుపు, విడ్పు or విడుమర viḍu-dala. n. Release, liberation, setting at liberty, freeing, కడతేరడము, నివృత్తి, విమోచనము. విడుదలసన్నదు a deed of surrender or relinquishment. విడుపు also means Almsgiving, దానము. విడుపరి viḍup-ari. n. One who abandons a friend, &c. పరిత్యాగశీలుడు. A liberal man, త్యాగశీలుడు. విడువడు viḍu-vaḍu. (విడుపు+పడు.) v. n. To separate, to be severed. వీడియెడబాయు.
