(p. 34) aḍapu aḍapu. [Tel.] v. To be held or contained. పట్టు. 'వెడదలుగాగ విప్పుచు బ్రవేశ తటంబులనొగ్గిక్రోలనోళ్లడపక వీపుచిప్ప లెగయంబడి.' Mandhat. vi. 151.

(p. 96) avasaramu avasaramu. [Skt.] n. Occasion, opportunity, వేళ, సమయము, కార్యోచిత సమయము. ఇది మూడో అవసరము this is the third time. 'చేరవచ్చు నయ్యవసరంబున,' T. iii. 39. అవసరము also means food offered as a meal to a god, or a kind of mantram said on the occasion. శ్రీరంగములో అరువై అవసరములు అరగింపు చేయుదురు they make an offering of sixty meals. Also necessity, urgency, hurry, flurry. అగత్యము, ఆతురము. అవసరమైనప్పుడు నిన్ని పిలిపించుకొంటాను I will send for you when necessary. అవసరము చేస్తే పని వెడిపోవును if you hurry the business will be spoiled. అది నాకు అవసరము లేదు. I have no occasion for this. అవసరము adj. Necessary, urgent, hurried, hasty. అగత్యమైన, అతురమైన, అవసరమైన పని urgent business. అవసరపడు avasara-paḍu. v. n. To hurry, to haste. అవసరముగా adv. Urgently, in haste. అగత్యముగా, ఆతురముగా, అవసరించు ava-sarinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To hurry, make haste. త్వరచేయు.

(p. 174) ūḍanipāḍu ūḍani-pāḍu. [Tel. ఊడు+అని+పాడు] v. t. To cry ఊడు while running away. To run away. To be put to flight, to be routed. సిగ్గూడనిపాడెన్ her modesty left her. P. iv. 433. వ్యామోహమూడనిపాడెన్ that fascination is now over. 'ఒకనాడు రాత్తి పడుపడు కకుజెప్పక యిల్లు వెడలి గాఢతరతమో నికరమతనతగుతోడుగ నొకరుడు పేరడవిత్రోవ మాడనిపాడెన్.' పాండు. iii.

(p. 177) ūrpu ūrpu. [Tel.] Same as ఊరుపు (q. v.) ఊర్పోవు (ఊర్పు+పోవు) to breathe. ఊపిరివెడలు. ఊర్పోక (ఊర్పు+పోక) a pastime ఉబుసు పోక. ఊర్పుచ్చు (ఊర్పు+పుచ్చు) to cause the breath to go out.

(p. 185) eḍaliñcu or ఎడలుచు eḍalinṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To separate, or unravel. To do away with. To remove, clear, loosen. To drive away వెడలించు, వదిలించు. ఎడలు eḍalu. v. n. To go, depart. వెడలు. To break వికలమగు, విచ్ఛిన్నమగు. To be thrown away విసర్జించు.

(p. 223) kaṅki kanki. [Tel.] n. An ear or head of corn: a stem of corn వెన్ను. కంటివెడలని బొందు a blasted ear, one that does not sprout.

(p. 236) kaḍiveḍu kaḍi-veḍu. [Tel. from కడవ.] n. A potful.

(p. 318) koṇida , కొణిదిలి or కొడిదిలి koṇida. [Tel.] n. The hand held as a cup. కొణివెడు As much as can be held in the hand held as a shallow cup; a handful 'కొనిపోయిరే నేలకొణిదెడంతైన' HD. i. 1328. కొణిద koṇida. n. The name of a certain caste. జాతిభేదము.

(p. 319) koppera koppera. [Tel.] n. A metal caul dron or boiler. వెడల్పు మూతిగల పెద్ద పాత్రము.

(p. 335) krēṭu or క్రేటుకొను krēṭu. [Tel.] v. n. To make a noise in clearing the throat. సకిలించునట్లు శబ్దించు. To be agitated తొట్రుపడు. 'క. కాటుకకన్నీ రొలుకగ మాటవెడలగ్రేటుకొనుచుమానినిపలికెన్.' స్వా. iii.

(p. 336) krēyō krēyō. [Tel.] n. A noise made in driving away anything. వెడలగొట్టుట యందగు ధ్వన్యనుకరణము.

(p. 346) gaṅgi gangi. [Tel.] adj. Venerable. పూజ్యము. (భాగ. ix.) గంగిగోవు a cow of an excellent breed, an excellent cow. 'గంగిగోవుపఅలు గంటెడైననుచాలు, కడవెడైన నేమి ఖరముపాలు; భక్తికలుగుకూడు పట్టెడైనను చాలు.' Vēma. i. 103.

(p. 399) ghaṇṭa ghanṭa. [Skt.] n. A bell. గంట. ఘంటాపథము ghanṭa-pathamu. n. The king's high way; so called because resounding with elephants' bells. పదిబారలు వెడల్పుగల రాజమార్గము, బాట. ఘంటాపథముగా as clear as the day, openly ఘంటాపథముగా మాట్లాడుట to talk decisively or openly. cf. 'They shall say in all the high ways.' Amos. v. 16. ఘంటారవము ghanṭā-ravamu. n. Ringing: the sound of a bell. The plant crotolaria. W. గిలిగిచ్చచెట్టు.

(p. 506) tanaru, tanarucu or తనర్చు. tanaru. [Tel.] v. n. To appear or shine. to extend; to be great or large. To be, live, exist. ఒప్పు, అతిశయించు, విజృంభించు. తనరుపు or తనర్పు tanarupu. n. P. iv. 255. తెరయీగ tera-y-īga. n. A bee. తేనెటీగ. M. VII. i. 236. తెరవేటు tera-vēṭa. n. 'Screen hunting.' in which the huntsmen use screens to conceal themselves, a hunt wherein hurdles or screens are placed around the hunting ground. A. iv. 154.
