(p. 231) kaṭṭu kaṭṭu. [Tel.] v. n. To cease or stop, gather or form as clouds or a boil, or lump; to be with young (used of animals.) భేది కట్టినది the diarrhoea ceased. మబ్బులుకట్టినవి clouds have gathered. నెత్తురు వెల్లువకట్టినది there was a gush of blood వానికి దెబ్బతగిలి నెత్తురు కట్టినది he received a contusion from a blow. గడ్డలుకట్టిన congealed, become hard. తూటుకట్టినది there is a hole formed.

(p. 1217) velluva velluva. n. A flood, a stream, an inundation. ప్రవాహము. A number of men, a troop, సేన. 'డెబ్బదిరెండువెల్లువలైన నవచరపతుల భూవరులజయించి.' DRY. 1494. 'శీతకాలమున హెచ్చినమంచువెల్లువల్.' Kod. § 43. వెల్లువకట్టు or వెల్లువలుకట్టు velluva-kaṭṭu. v. n. To flow in streams, to form a pool, ప్రవహించు, మడుగుకట్టు.
