(p. 49) anantamu an-antamu: [Skt.] adj. Endless, eternal అంతములేని. అనంతము n. The sky. ఆకాశము. అనంతత endlessness; infinitude. అనంతరాశి ananta-rāṣi. [Skt.] An infinite quantity. అనంతవిజయము n. The name of the conch or shell of Dharmaraja. అనంతవ్రతము ananta-vratamu. [Skt.] A vow or festival observed in honor of Ananta. (Vishnu.) అనంతశక్తి anantaṣakti. [Skt.] n. Omnipotence, boundless strength or power. అనంతుడు an-antuḍu. [Skt.] n. The infinite being, an epithet of Vishnu. A name of the great dragon, the king of serpents విష్ణువు, ఆదిశేషుడు అనంతశయనుడు ananta-ṣayanuḍu. [Skt.] n. An epithet of Vishnu, (lit.) the god whose couch is the king of serpents. విష్ణువు. అనంత్యము an-antyamu. [Skt.] adv. Eternally for ever and ever.

(p. 102) asi asi. [Skt.] n. A sword. ఖడ్గము. adj. Slight. అల్పమైన అనసిగాయము asi-gāyamu. n. A slight or superficial wound, a slight graze or wound. స్వల్పగాయము. అసిధారావ్రతము asī-dhāra-vratamu a vow to stand on the edge of a sword; (figuratively) being engaged in any hopelessly difficult task. అసిధేను or అసిధేనుక or అసిపుత్రి asidhēnu. n. Great, large, strong, fine, nice, పెద్ద, చక్కని, బలిష్ఠము. తోరంపుపన్నీరు fine rosewater. తోరంపుకోపము great anger. తోరంపుటేరు a full stream. తోరముగా tōramu-gā. adv. Well, properly, aloud.

(p. 684) nōcu nōṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To perform a meritorious act, as fasting. To undertake a vow. వ్రతమాచరించు. నోత nōta. n. The act of undertaking a vow, నోచుట. వ్రతమాచరించుట. నోము nōmu. [Tel.] n. Pure, clean, purifying, holy. పవిత్రము. నేడు సుదినము నా జన్మము పావనమాయెను this happy day blots out all my sins: (a common phrase of joy.) పరముకన్ననేమి పావనమాసోమ్ము is wealth any object in comparison with heaven? పరమపావనీ O most holy One! పావనముచేయు to purify. ఆయన ఈ రాజ్యమును పావనముచేసెను he reformed this realm. n. (p. 813) polamu polamu. [Tel.] n. A field, corn land. చేను, పైరుపెట్టునేల. A rice field, వరిపైరుపెట్టునేల. Uncultivated land on which cattle graze, పసులుమేయు భూమి. A forest, అడవి. A place, land, ground, ప్రదేశము. ఊరిపొలము the land attached to a village. వెలిపొలము the outlying fields belonging to a village. A village, ఊరు. A trace, ౛ాడ. Manner, విధము. పొలపు కూరలు field herbs, or ordinary herbs, as చెంచలి, చిట్లింత, పేరింత, పొన్నగంటి, మొదలైనవి. (These weeds infest fields sown with జొన్నలు, &c.) 'అప్పొలమువరాహపోతములు భూవర తొండములేని యేనుగుల్.' Swa. iv. 18. టీ అప్పొలము వరహపోతములు, అక్కడి అడవిపందిగున్నలు. 'గీ ఈ పొలములగుమహాధిక వ్రతములు దేహబాధకములు.' M. XII. iv. 361. ఈ పొలములగు, ఈ విధములైన పొలముపాటు polamu-pāṭu. n. Husbandry, పైరుపెట్టుట, కృషి, వ్యవసాయము. పొలకట్టు pola-kaṭṭu. ైోౌ n. A ploughed field. Kasi Yatra. 55. పొలమరి polam-ari. n. A cultivator. పొలముకాపు. 'పొలమరులందుకూతలిడ భూసురులన్నదివార్చివార్చి.' A. iii. 28. టీ పొలమరులు, పొలముచేయువారు. పొలవరి or పొలమరి polapari. (పొలము+అరి.) n. One who knows the signs, ౛ాడతెలిసినవాడు.

(p. 847) prāyamu prāyamu. [Skt.] n. Age, time of life, జీవితకాలము, ఈడు, వయస్సు. Puberty, youth, prime, bloom. యౌవనము. లేప్రాయము fresh age. ప్రాయపువాడు a young man. ప్రాయపుది a young woman. A preparation for dying దేహత్యాగార్థివ్రతము, ప్రాయోపదేశము. Death, చావు. Exceeding much, a multitude, సమూహము, బాహుళ్యము. adj. (used in composition.) like, resembling, సమానము. పశుప్రాయుడు a brutish man. మృతప్రాయుడు one who is as good as dead. అది వానికి తృణప్రాయము he values it no more than a straw వానికి అబద్ధము తీర్థప్రాయము telling lies is all his delight. ప్రాయశః prāyaṣah adv. Frequently, for the most part. బహుశా. ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము prāyaṣ -chittamu. n. Expiation, propitiation, penance, absolution, recompense, retribution, పాపరిహారముకొరకు చేయుకర్మము. జీవప్రాయశ్చిత్తము certain expiatory ceremonies performed over a dying person. తనకొమారునికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయించినాడు he had his son purified by expiatory rites. ప్రాయోపవేశము or ప్రాణాచారము prāy-ōpavēṣamu. n. Fasting in order to die, starving to death voluntarily. పస్తుపడియుండి ప్రాణమును విడిచిపెట్టడమనేవ్రతము. ప్రాయోపవేశముచేయు or ప్రాణాచారముచేయు prāy-opavēṣamu-chēyu v. n. To meet death by fasting in fulfilment of a vow.
