(p. 74) amarcu or అమరుచు or అమరించు amarṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To prepare, make ready. To engage. To provide, supply, furnish. సిద్ధముచేయు, జాగ్రతచేయు. ప్రయాణమునకు కావలసినదాన్ని అమర్చినాడు he prepared every thing for the journey. 'సొమ్ములు మేనవేడుకన్ వెలయునమర్చి.' H. i. 230. 'అధమ వృత్తి కధికునమరించుపతి తిట్టుగుడుచుగాదె.' P. i. 177. అమరిక amarika. n. Neatness. అందము. Tranquility, quietness, mildness. శాంతము, నెమ్మది. అమరికగలవాడు he who has presence of mind.

(p. 655) nimmaḷamu nimmaḷamu. [Tel.] n. Ease, comfort, quiet, patience, gentleness. శాంతము. adj. Easy, quiet, happy, well. నిశ్చింతము, స్వస్థము. నిమ్మళముగానున్నాడు he is well in health. నిమ్మళముగానున్నది it is well, proper, right. నిమ్మళముగా or నిమ్మళముమీద nimmaḷamu-gā. adv. Well, by degrees, gradually, gently. నిమ్మళముగా చేయుము do it at your leisure, do it slowly. నిమ్మళించు nimmaḷinṭsu. v. n. To be at ease, to be quiet or patient. నిశ్చింతమగు. To become better, స్వస్థమగు. To rest one-self. వానికి ఇప్పుడు నిమ్మళించినది he is better now.

(p. 1096) laghima or లఘిమము laghima. [Skt.] n. Ethereality, volatility, subtility, buoyancy. Excessive lightness; absence of weight, especially as an attribute of supernatural power. చులకదనము, లఘుత్వము. లఘిష్ఠము laghishṭhamu. adj. Lightest, very light, very small, least, మిక్కిలి చులకనైన, మిక్కిలి తక్కువైన. లఘుత్వము laghutvamu. n. Lightness, triviality. మలకదనము. లఘుబ్రహ్మి laghu-brahmi n. A plant called Trigonella corniculata లఘులయము laghu-layamu. n. The root of a fragrant grass, usually called Cuss-cuss, Andropogon muricatum, తెల్లవట్టివేరు. లఘువు laghuvu. adj. Swift, quick, వడిగల. A short syllable. A leap, darting. Quick time in music. శాంతము, గురువుకానిది, గంతు, వేగము. తాళములో భేదము. లఘువుగా laghuvu-gā. adv. Lightly. In good health. Gently, well, softly, slowly. తిన్నగా, స్వస్థముగా, లఘశంకకుపోవు laghu-ṣankaku-pōvu. v. n. To pass urine. ఉచ్చపోయు.

(p. 1200) vītamu vītamu. [Skt.] adj. Gone, past; devoid of; tranquil, quiet. గతమైన, పోయిన, శాంతమైన. వీతనిద్రులై ceasing from sleep. వీతరాగుడు vīta-rāguḍu. n. A prudent or moderate man, one who has subdued his passions, or curbed his desires. రజోగుణహీనుడు. జితేంద్రియుడు.

(p. 1246) śāntamu ṣāntamu. [Skt.] adj. Calm, patient, tranquil, meek, humble; appeased, calmed, stilled, శమితము. n. Patience, mildness, gentleness, tranquility. ఓర్పు, తాలిమి, సమానము. శాంతి ṣānti. n. Tranquility, calmness, quietness, rest, peace, serenity. Stoicism, absencce of passion, quietism. Convalescencce, cessation or alleviation of disease. A religious rite to avert inauspicious accidents or to procure remission of disease. కామక్రోధాదిరాహిత్యము, ఉపళమసము, రోగాదులమట్టుపడడము, క్రూరగ్రహాదులకు ఉపశమనముగా చేసే క్రియ. గ్రామశాంతి a ceremony on completing a village to propitiate evil spirits, &c. ఋతుశాంతి the consummation of a marriage. రోగశాంతి the curing of a disease. తాపశాంతి allaying heat or excitement. దాహశాంతి quenching thirst. శాంతించు ṣāntintsu. v. n. (p. 1253) śiṣṭamu ṣihṭamu. [Skt.] adj. Disciplined, trained. శిక్షింపబడిన, ఆజ్ఞాపింపబడిన. Obedient, docile, విధేయతగల, శాంతమైన. సుబుద్ధిగల. Principal, eminent, ప్రధానమైన. 'సృష్టిబుట్టినయట్టి శిష్టజీవులకు.' L. i. 45. శిష్టాచారము ṣishṭ-āchāramu. n. A rule an established line of conduct. తెలిసిన పెద్దలనడవడి, సాధువ్యవహారము. శిష్టి ṣishṭi. n. One who is commanded, ఆజ్ఞాపింప బడినవాడు.

Mild, gentle, placid, చంద్రసంబంధమైన, సుందరమైన, శాంతమైన, తిన్నని. ఆయన నిండా సౌమ్యమూర్తి he is very mild or gentle. ఆయనకు జ్వరము కొంచెము సౌమ్యముగానున్నది his fever is now diminishing. n. Smoothness, gentleness, mildness. శాంతము, తిన్నదనము. సౌమ్య saumya. n. The name of a year. సౌమ్యవారము saumya-vāramu. n. Wednesday. బుధవారము. సౌమ్యుడు saumyuḍu. n. A name of Budhudu, given for his being the son of Soma by Tara or Venus. బుధగ్రహము. A mild man, తిన్ననివాడు, ఒప్పినవాడు. ఆయన మిక్కిలి సౌమ్యుడు he is very gentle.
