(p. 89) aluku aluku. [Tel.] v. a. To smear the floor of a house or a mud wall, &c., with cowdung, &c. పేడవేసి శుద్ధిచేయు. (అలుకుచుట్టు a besom dipped in cowdung and water used in smearing a floor.) Also, to sow seed in a field prepared for the purpose (Vizag.) అలికించు alikinṭsu. (causal of అలుకు.) To have the floor smeared with cowdung, &c.

(p. 899) beḷagu or బెళంగు Same as బెడగు (q. v.) v. a. To cleanse or clean, పరిశుద్ధముచేయు. 'కోరబెళంగనోకుంచెడులేవో.' BD. iii. 840. అనగా గిన్నెను శుద్ధిచేయకపోయినానో; కుంచెడులేవో, నాలుగుమానికెలయినా లేక పోయినవో.

(p. 1125) vaḍiyu vaḍiya. [Tel.] v. n. To flow, to drip down or trickle as tears from the eyes, to distil of fall by drops. To decrease, to be diminished, as water in a river, to sink into the ground. స్రవించు, ౛ారు, కారు, వట్టిపోవు, తరుగు, ఇంకు. చెరువులో నీళ్లన్నియు వడిసిపోయినవి the water in the tank is all dried up. To become lean or thin, కృశించు, చిక్కు. వాని ఒళ్లు మునుపటికంటె ఇప్పుడు మిక్కిలి వడిసిపోయినది his body is now much thinner than before. వడియగట్టు, వడియబోయు, వడకట్టు, వడబోయు or వడకట్టు piya-gaṭṭu. v. n. To strain or filter. ద్రవద్రవ్యమును శుద్ధిచేయు, నలుసులు మొదలగునవి లేకుండా చేయు. వడియబోత vaḍiya-bōta. n. Filtering, straining. ద్రవద్రవ్యములను శుద్ధి చేయడము. వడుచు vaḍuṭsu. v. a. To cause to be strained or filtered. వడియజేయు. To cause to drip, కార్చు. వడుపు vaḍupu. n. The state of being emaciated, వడియుట, కృశించుట.

(p. 1213) velacu velaṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To clean, purify, శుద్ధముచేయు, శుద్ధిచేయు, తోము.

(p. 1259) śōdhiñcu ṣōdhinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To purify, cleanse, refine; to search, exmine, investigate, నిర్మలముచేయు, శుద్ధిచేయు, వెదకు. 'వరలుగో శృంగపర్వతముశోధించి.' DRK. page 262. శోధకుడు ṣōdhakuḍu. n. A searcher, inquirer; a critic, a man of genius: an inquisitive man. చక్కగా విమర్శించువాడు. శోధనము or శోధన ṣō-dhanamu. n. Cleaning, purifying, correcting; a search, trial, investigation, శుద్ధిచేయడము, పరిష్కరించడము, వెదకడము. రాత్రి రాజు నగరశోధనచేసినాడు the king went incognito through the town by night. శోధనపత్రము ṣōdhana-patramu. n. A table of errata. శుద్ధపత్రము. శోధని ṣōdhani. n. A broom. చీపురుకట్ట, సమ్మార్జని. శోధితము ṣōdhitamu. adj. Purified, cleansed, refined. Examined, searched. నిర్మలముచేయబడిన, పరిష్కృతమైన, వెదకబడిన. శోధ్యము ṣōdhyamu. adj. Fit to be searched. వెదకదగిన. 'శోధ్యస్థానముల్ చూడబంచిన.' Anir. iii. 148. శోధ్యస్థానములు places where he is likely to be found.

(p. 1285) saṃskariñcu sam-skarinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To reform, improve, repair, make better. బాగుచేయు. To purify, sanctify, consecrate, శుద్ధిచేయు, ప్రతిష్ఠించు. To burn a corpse (శవమును) దహనముచేయు. సంస్కారము sam-skāramu. n. The act of making better or improving, reformation. చక్కచేయుట. The power of memory, any faculty or capacity. ఆనుభూతార్థసంస్మృతి. A purificatory or dedicatory rite or ceremony burning on the funeral pile, దహనము, కాల్చడము. Purification, శోధించడము, పన్నీరు పువ్వులను నీళ్లతో బట్టీలో వేసి అగ్నిసంస్కారము చేసి దించుదురు they put the roses in a still filled with water and by the application of fire make rose water. ఆ శవమును సంస్కారముచేసి వేసినారు they burned the corpse. సంస్కృతము sam-skṛitamu. adj.
