(p. 99) aśubhamu a-ṣubhamu. [Skt.] n. Inauspiciousness. అమంగళము. శుభాశుభములు good and evil. వారిని శుభాశుభములకు పిలవడము లేదు they never invite them on any occasion either of joy or sorrow.

(p. 1255) śubhamu ṣubhamu. [Skt.] adj. Good, happy, lucky, blessed, fortunate, మంగళ కరమైన, కళ్యాణమైన. n. Good fortune, welfare, any auspicious ceremony. మంగళము, మంగళమైన కార్యము. శుభకార్యము or శుభప్రయోజనము a happy or auspicious affair, a happy occasion or festival. శుభసూచన a favourable omen. శుభవార్త good news. శుభమస్తు let it prosper. శుభాశుభములు good and evil. శుభకృత్తు ṣubha-kṛittu. n. (p. 1359) sōde or సోదియ sōde. [from Skt. చోద్యమ్.] n. Fortune-telling. రాబోవు అదృష్టమును చెప్పడము, రాగల శుభాశుభములను చెప్పుట. సోదెచెప్పు or సోదెచూచు sōde-cheppu. v. n. To tell fortunes, రాబోవు అదృష్టముచెప్పు. సోదెకత్తె sōde-katte. n. A female fortune-teller. విప్రశ్నిక, సోదెచెప్పుస్త్రీ. దైవజ్ఞ, రాబోవు అదృష్టమును చెప్పునది.
