(p. 517) taliru taliru. [Tel.] n. A sprout, a shoot. పల్లవము, చిగురు. తలిరుచు or తలిర్చు taliruṭsu. v. n. To sprout, shoot, bloom: to rise, as a feeling in the heart. To rejoice సంతోషించు. చేవతలిర్ప in the pride of his strength, in the freshness of vigour. Suca. ii. 283. నెమ్మితలిర్పగ with over flowing love. Bilh. i. 66. తలిరుటాకు taliru-ṭ-āku. n. A young sprouting leaf. తలిరుబోడి or తలిరుబోణి taliru-bōḍi. n. A blooming maid, a delicate woman, a beautiful woman. తలిరువు or తలిర్పు talirupu. n. Sprouting. Blooming. Rejoicing. తలిరు విలుతుడు an epithet of Manmatha.

(p. 626) nandiñcu nandinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To rejoice. నందకము nandakamu. n. That which rejoices, సంతోషించునది. The sword of Vishnu. నందన nandana. n. A daughter, కూతురు. The name of a year, ఒక సంవత్సరము. నందనము nandanamu. adj. That which rejoices. సంతోషించునది. నందనవనము nandana-vanamu. n. Indra's pleasure garden. Elysium. A park, ఉద్యానవనము. నందనుడు nandanuḍu. n. A son. కొడుకు. నందనవనము nandu-vanamu. n. A flowery spot. The name given to Tulasi plants planted in a bed. This word is much used but is of no authority.

(p. 648) niṇḍu ninḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be filled, to be full. పూర్ణమగు. నింట or నిండుట ninṭa. n. Fullness, as of water (జల) పూరము. నిండ, నిండా or నిండుగా ninḍa. adv. Fully. Much, entirely, utterly. Perfectly, నిండాదెబ్బలుకొట్టినాడు he struck many blows. నిండాదండములు పెట్టినాడు he offered many compliments. వాన నిండాకురిసినది it rained heavily. నిండా సంతోషించినాడు he was much pleased. నిండాభయపడిరి they feared greatly. నిండారు or నిండబడు ninḍ-āru. v. n. To be full. నిండారు or నిండు n. Fullness, completion. పూర్ణత్వము. నిండించు ninḍintsu. v. a. To fill. నిండు or నిండైన ninḍu. adj. Full, abundant, much. నిండు కుండ a full vessel. నిండుకుండ తొణకదు a full pot does not spill. నిండుమనిషి a pregnant woman. నిండుకొను ninḍu konu v. n. To be filled: (metaph.) to be pacified, to be silent. ఈవేళ నా యింట్లో నిండుకొని ఉన్నది a phrase meaning (by rule of contrary) I have nothing to eat or give.

(p. 800) poṅgu pongu. [Tel.] v. n. To effervesce; to boil or bubble up, overflow, boil over. To swell. To forment. To exult, to be overjoyed, elated, to be in ecstasy. సంతోషించు. To become proud, గర్వించు. పొంగి బోర్లపడు to boil over with pride or delight. ఎండచేత కండ్లు పొంగినవి the eyes are inflamed by the glare. పొంగునీళ్లు boiling water. పొంగు pongu. n. Effervescence, boiling or bubbling up, overflowing. Excess of joy. సంతోషము. Pride, గర్వము. Eruption of the measles. Boiling water in which rice is to be cooked, ఎసరుకాగిననీళ్లు, చిట్టుడుకునీళ్లు. ఎసరుపొంగి పోతున్నది the water is boiling over. నీ పొంగుకుంగ may your pride perish. ఇదియేమి చూచుకొన్న పొంగు on what do you pride yourself? పొంగులక్షణము symptoms of an eruption of measles. పొంగుప్రాలు pongu-prālu. n. A sort of grain. పొంగలించు pongalinṭsu. v. n. To stand erect; to be proud, నిక్కు. పొంగారు pong-āru. (పొంగు+ఆరు.) v. n. To be full, నిండారు., To swell out, ఉబుకు. To rejoice, సంతోషించు. To excel, to be proud, అతిశయించు, విజృంభించు, నిక్కు 'తూర్యములపటుధ్వాన మడరినింగి పొంగారె నత్యంత నిశ్చలంబులయ్యె సైనికినికరంబులద్భుతముగ.' M. VIII. iii. 273. పొంగించు ponginṭsu. To boil. To delight, to please much. చేరెడుబియ్యము పొంగించుకొనినాడు he boiled a handful of rice.

(p. 801) pompiri pompiri. [Tel.] n. Thickness, సాంద్రత. adj. Thick, సాంద్రము. పొంపిరిగా pompiri-gā. adv. Thickly. పొంపిరిపోవు pompiri-pōvu. v. n. To thicken, సాంద్రమగు. To excel, increase, grow, spread, అతిశయించు, విజృంభించు, వర్ధిల్లు, వ్యాపించు. To be born, to spring forth. పుట్టు. To rejoice, సంతోషించు. To become famous, to be well known, ప్రసిద్ధికెక్కు.

(p. 836) pramudituḍu pra-mudituḍu. [Skt.] n. One who is very pleased, మిక్కిలి సంతోషించినవాడు.

(p. 840) prasannamu pra-sannamu. [Skt.] adj. Clear, clean, bright. నిర్మలము. Complacent, pleased, gracious, benignant, సంతోషించిన, సముఖమైన. ప్రసన్నవదనుడై looking upon them graciously. ప్రసన్నత pra-sannata. n. Celarness, purity. Complacency, benignity, favour, kindness. నిర్మలత్వము, ప్రసాదము, సుముఖత్వము. ప్రసన్నుడు pra-sannuḍu. n. One who is gracious, pleased or delighted. అఖండలక్ష్మీ ప్రసన్నుడైన he who shines in changeless glory.
