(p. 668) nīru nīru. [Tel.] adj. Slight. అల్పము. నీరెండ the soft sunshine (ఎండ) of evening. 'నీరెండగాయ.' A vi. 129. నీరుపదును slight sharpness, కొంచెమువాడి. నీరుపాయము nīru-pāyamu. n. Youth, adolescence, యౌవనము. నీరుకావి or నీర్కావి nīru-kāvi. n. A reddish tint. the soft tint of fine cloth after its newness has gone off. కొంచెమెరుపు. నీరు కావులు nīru-kārulu. n. A sort of grain. H. iv. 158. నీరుకాళ్లు nīru-kāḷḷu. n. Lit: Reddish legs, i.e., the rays of the sun at sunrise and sunset. కొంచెమెర్రని రంగుగలవై రెండు సంధ్యవేళలందును కనబడు సూర్యకిరణములు 'నిడుదలైతిలకించె నీరుకాళ్లు.' హరి. పూ. vii.

Time, a time, period or opportunity. కార్యోచితసమయము. కాలము. తరి. ఈవేళ to day, this time. ఆవేళ that day, that time. ఇంకొకవేళరండి come another time. ఒకవేళ perhaps. గంటవేళ one hour's time. రాత్రివేళ night time. సంధ్యవేళ the evening. ఆవేళన్ at that time. వేళలు (or సమయములు) కాచుచుండెడివారు they who watch for an opportunity. అట్లుచెప్పేవేళకు on his saying so. వాడు వేళాపాళాచూడడు he does not care for time or season. వేళము vēḷamu.
