(p. 18) aṃsamu amsamu. [Skt.] n. A shoulder, భుజశిరస్సు. అంసకూటము, a bull's hump. అంసపాదికట్టె a small forked prop which supports the woodwork on which a roof is laid. A small forked stake used at intervals to relieve the shoulders of those who bear a car, &c., in procession. అంసఫలకము, the upper part of the spine.

(p. 54) anukūlamu anu-kūlamu. [Skt.] adj. Favourable, friendly, assisting, salubrious. హీతమైన, సహాయమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, శ్రేయస్కరమైన. అనుకూలమైన గాలి a favourable wind. వాని శరీరమునకు అనుకూలమైన స్థలము the place which agrees with him. అనుకూలమైనమాట a friendly word. అనుకూలశత్రువు a friendly enemy అనుకూల కాలము a suitable time. అనుకూలము or అనుకూలత n. Favour, goodness, kindness, aid. సహాయము, మేలు, దయ. దయ ద్రవ్యానుకూలము means, resource. దైవానుకూలము వల్ల by the grace of God. అనుకూలించు, అనుకూలపడు or అనుకూలమగు anukūlinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be of use ఒదవు. To have effect, to have a good result. సఫలమగు, ఒనగూడు. అనుకూలము కాలేదు it failed, it had not the desired effect. నాకు ఇంకా రూకలు అనుకూల పడలేదు I have not yet obtained the money ఈ పని నీకు అనుకూలమగును you will succeed in this business. అనుకూలము చేయు or అనుకూలవరచు anukūlamuchēyu. v. a. To shew favour, to bring a thing about, to countenance. సహాయము చేయు, నెరవేర్చు. కార్యమును అనుకూలము చేసికొన్నారు they brought it about, brought it to a conclusion. అనుకూలుడు anukūluḍu. n. A friend, ally, patron. హితుడు, సహాయుడు, ఉపకారి. వాడు నాకు అనుకూలుడు he is well disposed towards me.

(p. 75) amōghamu a-mōghamu. [Skt.] adj. Fruitful, not vain, unerring, efficacious. సఫలమైన, నిరర్థకముకాని. he fell into a deep sleep. వానికి అమోఘవిక్రముడు a man of unerring valor.

(p. 720) parucu puruṭsu. [Tel. from పడు.] v. a. To cause to fall. పడజేయు. To spread, to scatter. To make, do. ఆటంకపరుచు to make objections. సఫలపరుచు to bring to use, to effect. వారిని లోబరుచుకొన్నాడు he got them into his hands. Added to nouns it changes them into verbs; thus నిశ్చయపరుచు to ascertain, to certify. దృఢపరుచు to establish. భేదపరుచు to distinguish, separate. See పడు & పరచు పరిపించు or పరపించు parip-inṭsu. v. a. To cause to spread. పరుపు parupu. n. Bedding, a mattress. పరుండుటకు పరిచిన శయ్య. పడక.

(p. 1016) mūru mūruū. [Tel.] v. n. To be full, to teem. నిండారు. 'సారాస్వాదనప్రాణపంచక ముదృష్ణంబాసిసంతర్పణన్ మూరిబోనసిద్రెంచి పొంగెడు భవన్ముండంపుధారోష్ణ మింపారంగ్రోలి.' A. vi. 29. టీ మూరింబో, అనగా సంపూర్ణమగు నప్పటికి. To excel, increase, అతిశయించు. మూరిపోవు mūri-pōvu. v. n. To excel increase, అతిశయించు, వర్ధిల్లు, విజృంభించు. To succeed, be successful, సఫలమగు. To be ruined, నశించు. మూరకొండ mūru-konḍa. n. The name of a certain tree, రూపగంధచెట్టు.

(p. 1154) vāyasamu vāyasamu. [Skt.] n. A crow, కాకి. వాయసఫలన్యాయమనగా కాకతాళ న్యాయము. నాయసారాతి vāyasārāti. n. An owl. గుడ్లగూబ. (lit. the foe of the crows.)

(p. 1297) saprayōjanamugā sa-pra-yōjanamu-gā. [Skt.] adv. Profitably, advantageously. సఫలముగా.

(p. 1297) saphalamu sa-phalamu. [Skt.] adj. Fruitful, advantageous, efficacious, successful. ఫలముతో గూడిన, సార్థకమైన. నా జన్మము సఫలమైనది my life has borne fruit, has been worth living. నా కోరిక సఫలమైనది my desire is accomplished ఈ యుక్తి సఫలమైనది this plan turned out well, this method was successful. నా పూర్వ జన్మ పుణ్యము సఫలమైనది the merit I acquired in a former birth has now brone fruit. సఫలత ṣa-phalata. n. Benefit, advantage, success, fulfilment. సార్థకత, సాఫల్యము.

(p. 1323) sāphalyamu sā-phalyamu. [Skt. from సఫలము.] n. Fruitfulness, efficacy, success. ప్రయోజనసిద్ధి, ఫలోత్పత్తి. తమదర్శనము కావడమువల్ల నా జన్మ సాఫల్యమైనది by seeing you I have accomplished the great end of my life. నా కోరిక సాఫల్యమైనది my object is accomplished, my hopes are fulfilled.

(p. 1327) sārthakamu or సార్థకత s-ārthakamu. [Skt.] n. Utility, profit, good, benefit, fruit, use, efficacy. ఫలము, ప్రయోజనము. సార్థకము adj. Having a meaning, a significant, to the purpose, well adapted, suitable as an epithet, name or title. Effectual, profitable, useful. అర్థయుక్తమైన, సప్రయోజనమైన, సఫలమైన, అన్వర్థమైన. సార్థకనామము a significant name, a name having its peculiar meaning, as చతుష్పాత్తు a quadruped. సార్థకములేని s-ārthakamu-lēni. adj. Irrelevant, fruitless, ineffective. నిష్ప్రయోజనమైన.

(p. 1327) sārlā sārlā. [Tel.] n. Success, completion, achievement, good result. కార్యసిద్ధి, అనుకూలత. సార్లాఅగు sārlā-agu. v. n. To succeed, to be finished. సఫలమగు, అనుకూలమగు. ఆ పని సార్లాకేలేదు the undertaking did not succeed. సార్లాచేయు sārlā-chēyu. v. a. To settle, prepare, get ready, పరిష్కారము చేయు, సిద్ధముచేయు. దాన్ని సార్లాచేసుకొనెను he brought it about, settled it. అది సార్లాఅయినది the thing succeeded well. సార్లాపడు sārlā-paḍu. v. n. To be gained, to come to a good result, to prosper, అనుకూలపడు, సఫలమగు. సార్లాపరచు or సార్లాపెట్టు sārlā-paraṭsu. v. a. To bring about, get (a thing) done, get is settled. అనుకూలపరచు, తిర్చు.

(p. 1382) hattu , అత్తు, హత్తుకొను or అత్తుకొను hattu. [Tel.] v. n. To adhere to, come in contact with, take to, be attached or addicted to, succeed, attain, approach. అంటుకొను, సక్తమగు, పొందు, కలుగు, డాయు, అంటు, తగులుకొను, సఫలమగు. 'హత్తుకొని యొక్కకొమదరనత్తెరవుంగట్టబనిచి.' A. vi. 96. హత్తించు hattinṭsu. v. a. To attach, join, touch. అంటుకొనునట్లుచేయు, సక్తముచేయు, లగింపజేయు. 'చిత్తముహరిహత్తించిన.' N. iv. 161.
