A doer, an agent, workman, a sinner; a formalist; one bound by the doctrine of works. సారంగధరుడటువంటి కర్మికాడు he is not a man likely to do this. కర్ముడు karmuḍu. n. A doer, an agent. కర్మేంద్రియములు karmēndriyamulu. n. The organs of action. The bodily members, or limbs, considered as the instruments of passion and hence agents of sin.

(p. 759) pisāḷamu pisāḷamu. [Tel.] n. Brilliance, వికాసము, ప్రకాశము. A jest, పరిహాసము. Spreading, వ్యాపనము. A trick, దొంగయెత్తు. పిసాళి pisāḷi. adj. Brilliant, తళతళమనే, ప్రకాశముగల. Spreading, వ్యాపనముగల. Artful, దొంగయెత్తుగల. 'సకియ క్రొందళుకు బిసాళి చూపులకోవు, ముగుదనిద్దవు ముద్దుమోముగోము.' Rasica. iii. 133. An artful or cunning person, కుత్సితపురుషుడు, స్త్రీయును. 'మొరసుమోటు పిసాళినామూఢుడు.' ABA. iii. 11. పిసాళించు pisāḷ-inṭsu. v. n. To be brilliant, to flash, to be displayed. తళతళలాడు, వెలుగు, విజృంభించు, మించు. To be fragrant, పరిమళించు. To spread, వ్యాపించు. To jest, పరిహాసములాడు. To pretend, దొంగయెత్తువేయు. 'సీ సద్యోవినిర్భిన్న సారంగనాభికా హృతమై పిసాళించుమృగమదంబు.' Swa. ii. 59. 'ద్వి కొడుకుకు విలపించుకొనుచు నీవున్న, నెడపకెవ్వరు సేతురీపనులెల్ల, చాలులేలెమ్ము పిసాళింపకనుచు.' HD. ii. 1906. టీ పిసాళింపకు, మాయచేయకు. v. a. To ridicule, పరిహసించు.

(p. 1021) meṭṭa or మిట్ట meṭṭa. [Tel.] n. Rising ground, high lying land, uplands. A hill, a rock. ఉన్నతభూమి, మెరక, పర్వతము, దిబ్బ. The foot, పాదము. Dry land as opposed to మడి or మాగాణి land artificially irrigated. సారంగమెట్ట the hill at Rajahmundry on which sārangadhara was slain. 'ఇట్టలంబుగమీద బుట్టలు పెరిగిమెట్టల క్రియనున్న యిట్టిసన్మునులు.' BD. iii. 2141. మెట్టజీలుగు meṭṭa-jīlugu. n. A species of జీలుగు. (q. v.) మెట్టతామర meṭṭa-tāmara. n. The plant called Cassia alata, or Senna alata. Rox. ii. 349. మెట్టపంట a dry crop, a crop raised on land which is solely dependent on rain. మెట్టమడుగు a lake among hills, or on rising ground, దొన, కొండమడుగు. మెట్టమార్గము the upper road, మెరకమార్గము. A land route (in opposition to సముద్రమార్గము 'by water.') మెట్టనాలుపిట్ట or మెట్టవాల్పిట్ట meṭṭa-vālu-piṭṭa. n. A fowl, కోడి.

(p. 1321) sādaramu s-ādaramu. [Skt. స+ఆదరము] adj. Respectful. సన్మానమైన. 'సాదరభావజ్ఞు సారంగధరుని.' Sar. D. 567. సాదరత s-ādarata. n. Regard, respect, veneration, affection. సన్మానము, ఆదరణ, విశ్వాసము. సాదరముగా s-ādaramu-gā. adv. Respectfully, kindly, సన్మాణముగా సాదరుడు s-ādaruḍu. n. One who is gracious. సన్మానము చేయువాడు. 'బింబాధరున్ సాదరున్.' Balarama. iii. 218.

(p. 1325) sāraṅgamu sārangamu. [Skt.] n. A deer. దుప్పి. A bee, తుమ్మెద. An elephant, ఏనుగు. A species of Cuckoo, a swallow, a bird of paradise, Cuculus melanoleucos. వానకోయిల, చాతకపక్షి. సారంగరాగము sāranga-rāgamu. n. A certain tune రాగవిశేషము. సారంగి sārangi. n. A kind of fiddle with five wires, played with a bow. ఒకవిధమైన వీణె.
