(p. 93) avadhariñcu ava-dharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To favour with one's attention. To lend an ear, listen. To wear, put on. ఎచ్చరికపడు, విను, ఆలకించు, పెట్టుకొను. 'నవపింఛమయబూషలవధరించినటించు.' Swa. iii. 25. 'దుర్వసువంశం బునంబుట్టిననీ కిట్టిశో భనంబులే మద్భుతంబు లవధింవుము.' A pref. 21 అవధారు (the second person singular of the imperative of the verb. అవధరించు.) Oh Listen! O give ear! వినుము, ఆలకించుము, చిత్తగింపుము. 'కుబేర శంకరుల్ సరసనుగొల్వ మ్రొక్కులిడ స్వామిపరాక వధారుదేవ హెచ్చరిక యటంచుకంచుకులు.' N. i. 177.

(p. 714) parāku parāku. [Tel.] n. Oversight, error. Carelessness, forgetfullness. ప్రమాదము, పరధ్యానము. పరాకువ unawares, by error. పరాకుచెప్పు to warn, call attention to. (Interj.) Take heed! Take care. Also used as a conversational phrase like I beg your pardon! please listen to me!' హెచ్చరిక, పరాకుడు [Skt.] a cunning man, కుత్సితుడు. పరాకుపడు parāku-paḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To forget, be off one's guard. ప్రమాదపడు, భ్రమపడు, పరాకునుందు.

To sound or ring. అందుకు సాక్షులను పలికించినాడు he proved this by witnesses, he called witnesses to prove it. పలుకు పడతి or పలుకుచెలి paluku-paḍati. n. The goddess of speech, Sarasvati, వాగ్దేవి, సరస్వతి. పలుకరించు, పలకరించు or పల్కరించు palukarinṭsu. v. n. To speak. మాటాడు. A time, turn, occasion. తడవ, తేప, మాటు. ఒకసారి once. రెండుసార్లు twice. మూడుసార్లు thrice. ఈసారి this time. నెలకు ఒకసారి once a month. నెలకు నాలుగుసార్లు four times a month. సారి sāri. [from Skt. స్వారి.] n. A military expedition, యుద్ధయాత్ర. సారె, సారెకు or సారెసరెకు sāre. adv. Frequently, often, repeatedly, again and again. మాటిమాటికి. 'ఘోరంబుగా సారెగుంటకన్నులు త్రిప్పు.' (p. 1329) sāhū sāhū. [Maharati.] interj. Behold! Be attentive! An exclamation used by heralds on the approach of a king or on the egress of an idol in a procession. పరాకు. ఎచ్చరిక. 'తే గీ స్వామిసాహోపరాకు హెచ్చరికయనుచు, వేత్రహస్తులు పలుమారు విన్నవింప.' Anir. iv. 4.

(p. 1392) heccu or ఎచ్చు heṭsṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To increase, grow, multiply, ఆధిక్యము. 'అరవిందములగచ్చలడగించు జిగిహెచ్చు.' Swa. vi. 107. హెచ్చరించు or ఎచ్చరించు heṭstsar-inṭsu. v. a. To encourage, hint at, allude to, advert to, call to memory, warn, సూచనచేయు. హెచ్చరిక or ఎచ్చరిక heṭsṭsar-ika. n. A hint, intimation, precuation, warning, arousing, encouragement. సూచన, జాగ్రత్త. Joy, సంతోషము. 'కుబేరశంకరుల్ సరసనుగొల్వ మ్రొక్కులిడ స్వామి పరాకవధారుదేవ, హెచ్చరికయటంచు కంచుకులు.' N. i. 177. హెచ్చరిల్లు or ఎచ్చరిలు heṭsṭsar-illu. v. n. To increase, grow, improve. అభిపృద్ధినొందు To be encouraged, to beware, to be on the alert. ఎచ్చరిక కలిగియుండు. 'ఏ యుపాయంబు చేసైన సెచ్చరిలగనీక రాక్షసకులము రమేశ్వరుండు తునుముననుశంక.' KP. vi. 26. హెచ్చించు hechch-inṭsu. v. a. To increase, augment, multiply, అధికముచేయు. హెచ్చిల్లు, హెచ్చిలు or ఎచ్చిలు hechch-illu. v. n. To augment, increase, multiply, అధికమగు. హెచ్చు, హెచ్చిన or ఎచ్చిన heṭsṭsu. adj. Exceeding, much, more, excessive, great, superior. అధికమైన, వెలపొడుగైన.' హెచ్చినమైత్రి.' A. iv. 187. నన్ను హెచ్చుతక్కువలుగా మాట్లాడినాడు he reviled me. హెచ్చుతగ్గులుగానుండే భూమి uneven ground, land that is up and down. హెచ్చుగ or హెచ్చుగా heṭsṭsu-ga. adv. Much, more, greatly. అధికముగా. 'వజ్రముల్ పగడాలు తూములన్ హెచ్చుగగొల్తు రెప్పుడు.' T. ii. 19.
