Installation by anointing, initiation, royal unction, bathing, anointing, inauguration. స్నానము, మునక, పట్టముకట్టడము. దేవునికి అభిషేకము అయిన తరువాత after the idol was bathed. తైలాభిషేకము anointing with oil. చూర్ణాభిషేకము a particular rite of pouring turmeric powder over the head of an idol on the sixth day of the annual feast called బ్రహ్మోత్సవము. పట్టాభిషేకము coronation of a king. పట్టాభిషేకము చేయు to crown a king. రాజు ఆ కవికి స్వర్ణాభిషేకము చేసినాడు the prince showered bounties upon the poet. అన్నాభిషేకము చేయు to pour boiled rice over an image. అభిషేకించు v. t. (p. 195) ēkādaśamu ēkā-daṣamu. [Skt.] adj. Eleventh పదునొకండవది. ఏకాదశి ēkā-daṣi. n. The eleventh day of each lunar fortnight: తొలియేకాదశి another name for ఆషాఢశుద్ధయేకాదశి which is an annual fast. వైకుంఠయేకాదశి a fast held about the 20th of December.

(p. 505) taddinamu tad-dinamu. [Skt. తత్+దినము.] n. Lit. 'That day,' i.e., a commemoration anniversary, or annual mourning for deceased persons. తద్దినముపెట్టు to keep or celebrate 'that day.' తద్దినముకొని తెచ్చుకొను (proverb) to run one's head against a wall.

(p. 654) nimantraṇamu ni-mantranamu. [Skt.] n. An invitation, bidding guests to the annual ceremony of making offerings to the manes of deceased ancestors. నిమంత్రించు ni-mantrinṭsu. v. a. To invite, to invite guests to a feast at an annual ceremony held in honor of departed ancestors. నిమంత్రుడు nimantrituḍu. n. One who is so invited, నిమంత్రింపబడినవాడు.

A name given to certain days in the lunar month, as the full and change of the moon, and the 8th and 14th of each half month, పండుగ. పంచపర్వములు the five holidays in a month, i.e., అష్టమి, చతుర్దశి, కునూవు, పూర్ణిమ, రవిసంక్రాంతి. పంచపర్వోత్సవము is a feast celebrated in one of these holidays. A sub-division of a book. The Mahābhārata is divided into eighteen (Purvamulu) books. నెత్రపర్వము a joyful sight, a feast for the eyes. పర్వసంధి parva-sandhi. n. The time that divides a new or full moon and the next day.
