(p. 63) apalapiñcu or అపలాపము చేయు apa-lapinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To deny, conceal. ఉండగా లేదను, ఎరిగియుండగా ఎరుగనను, మరుగుచేయు. అపలాపము apa-lāpamu. [Skt.] n. Denial, concealment of knowledge, evasion. ఉండగా లేదనడము, ఎరిగియుండగా ఎరగననడము.

(p. 241) kanucāṭu kanu-ṭsāṭu. [Tel.] n. Being out of sight, privacy. కనుచాటుగానుండిరి they were in concealment. ఇది అంతా కాస్త కనుచాటుగా నుండవలెను this should be kept somewhat private.

(p. 587) dāparamu dāparamu. [Tel. from దాచు.] n. Happening, meeting. ప్రాప్తి. Stealing, దొంగిలించుట. Concealment, duplicity. మరుగు, మాయ, మోసము. వానివద్ద మరేమి దాపరములేదు there is no concealment about him. adj. Secret, unseen, రహస్యమైన. G. ii. 16. దాపరమైన happened, chanced, befallen, తటస్థమైన. ఈ మొగుడు నాకు ఎక్కడ దాపరమైనాడు how was I so unhappy as to have this husband? దాపరించు dāparinṭsu. v. n. a. To happen, to chance, to have or meet, ప్రాప్తమగు. To steal, దొంగిలించు. దాపరీడు dāpa-rīḍu. n. A thief. దొంగ. దాపరికము dāpa-rikamu. n. Hiding. దాచుట. See దాపు and దాచు.

(p. 755) pidhānamu pidhānamu. [Skt.] n. A covering, concealment, veil. ఆచ్ఛాదనము, తిరోధానము, మరుగు, ఏనుగుమీది బురకా.

(p. 935) manta manta. [Skt.] n. One who considers, a thinker. ఆలోచించువాడు. మంతనము mantanamu. n. Secrecy, a secret place, a place of concealment, రహస్యము, ఏకాంతస్థలము. ఏకాంతము. A secret consultation, secret advice, రహస్యాలోచన, 'కలిసియొక కొంతసేపు శృంగాటకముల, నగరదాసచూచునె మంతనంబులాడిచనిరి విద్వాంసులిండ్లకు.' (p. 958) marugu marugu. [Tel.] v. n. To be concealed or hidden, చాటగు. To be dejected, to be in deep sorrow, కుందు, సంతాపించు. మరుగు or మరువు marugu. n. Privacy, cover,shelter, a screen, concealment, the hidden part of any thing, అగోచరస్థానము చాటు. తమమరుగుజొచ్చినాను I have sought shelter with you. ఆతోట నిండా మరుగుననున్నది that garden is very private. మరుగుగోడ a curtain or screen placed before a door. మరుగుపెరడు or మరుగుదొడ్డి a privy or necessary. ఆమాటను మరుగుచేసినారు they kept that word secret. adj. Hidden, unseen, invisible, imperceptible, obscure, sheltered. మరుగుపడు marugu-paḍu. v. n. To disappear, to be hidden. కానకిపోవు. మరుగుపరుచు marugu-parutsu. v. a. To conceal, keep secret. మరుకువ marukura. n. Sorrow, grief, సంతాపము. మరువ maruva. (మరుగు + వా.) n. A pot, కుండ. adj. Dumb, మూగైన. మరువకందు maruva-kandu. n. An epithet of Agastya, కుంభ సంభవుడు. మరువవాడు maruva-vāḍu. n. A dumb man. మూగవాడు.

(p. 1041) moragu or మొరంగు moragu. [Tel.] v. n. To hide. దాగు, పొంచు. v. a. To delude the eyes, to deceive, వంచించు, దాచు, మరుగుచేయు. కనుమొరుగు to wink, to connive at, to shut the eyes. 'మొరగినిదురించుచో. నిది తరియగుటం జంపబోయెదం బదమనుచున్.' P. iii. 243. టీ మొరగి, కనుమరుగై. 'వీడగ డువబారనేలకువెలిగాగ నడుగువెట్టితిరుగనాత్మమొరగి, యొకటి దలపనరుల కొదవినొదవదే, కరణిమృత్యుదేవికన్నుబ్రామ.' (p. 1045) mōḍi mōḍi. [Tel.] n. The act of picking up a thing (kept at one's feet) by bending back like an acrobat, గణికాదులు మొగ్గవాలి కాలికిసమీపమందుంచిన వస్తువు నెత్తుట. Way, manner, air, style, విధము, రీతి. A whim, pettishness, crossness, ill humour, pique, malice, బింకము. Handwriting, దస్తూరి, వ్రాలు, వ్రాతయొక్క వైఖరి. రాజమోడి royal style, pomp, grandeur. A kind of craft, enchantment, connected with the concealment of a jewel or money, మంత్రగాడు పంతమువేసికొనిపెట్టేటిది. మోడివేయు to draw magic lines. మోడితీయు to break such a spell. మోడిఅక్షరములు or గొలుసుకట్టు a running hand. 'మోడిమానిసిన్ బలెజనితెల్పు మంచనిన.' Radha. i. 70. టీ మోడిమానిసిన్ బలె, ముర్ఖుడైన మనిషివలెనే.

(p. 1313) salupu salupu. [Tel.] v. a. To do, make, perform, practise. చేయు. 'సరసులతో చెల్మి సలుపబూనె.' T. ii. 72. 'విద్దెములు సలుపు.' to skip about. N. ix. 241. పొత్తుసలుపు to contract friendship. సజ్ఞాతవాసంబుసలిపితిమి we lived in concealment, or incognito. M. V. iii. 272. వ్రతముసలుపు to perform or fulfil a vow. సలిపించు salipinṭsu. v. a. To get done, to cause to be done or made. చేయించు.
