This is translated by the word 'That' or 'so' or the infinitive mood is used, as వారు అక్కడ ఉండినారని అన్నాడు he told me that they were there. అవతల వెళ్లరాదని తిరిగీ వస్తిమి we did not think it right to go on and returned; we thought we must not go further; so we came back. నన్ను పొమ్మని చెప్పెను he told me to go. తన సొమ్మని యెంచి considering it his own. దాన్ని నాకని కొన్నాడు he bought it for me. కావలెనని అక్కడికి పోయినాడు he went there on purpose. పండ్లను పటపటమని కొరికినాడు he gnashed his teeth. ఘమ్మని fragrantly. తళుక్కని brilliantly. గడగడమని మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke rapidly. ఈగలు జుమ్మని ముసురు కొన్నవి the flies covered it buzzingly. నీవు ఈ శాలువ కప్పుకొంటే గుమ్మని ఉండును if you wear this shawl it feels warm: or, you will feel warm.

(p. 516) talapu or తలంపు talapu. [Tel. from తలచు.] n. Thinking, considering తలచుట. A thought, idea. అభిప్రాయము. A desire కోరిక. Reflection చింత. Recollection జ్ఞప్తి. Heart హృదయము. Imagination, intention, a proposition, plan, supposition. తలపుచేయు talapu-chēyu. v. n. To think, consider. ఎంచు, భావించు. తలపుచూలి the child of Desire, i.e., Manmatha మన్మథుడు, భావజుడు. తలపురాయి talapu-rāyi. n. The stone that grants all wishes. చింతామణి.

(p. 954) mamata or మమత్వము mamata. [Skt.] The interest or affection entertained for objects, from considering them as belonging to, or connected with oneself. అభిమానము. 'వేటజూదంబు పానంబు మాటబిరుసు, కఠినదండంబుతరలాక్షికానియీవి, యనెడివ్యసనంబులేడింటి యందుమమత, తగదుగావింపధారుణీతలవిభునకు.' M. V. ii. 42. మమకారము mama-kāramu. n. (p. 993) mundu mundu. [Tel.] n. The front. ఎదురు. adj. Fronting, fore. Previous, former, preceding, early. After, next. ముందువెనుకలు before and behind, what comes before and what comes behind. adv. In front, in the beginning, at first, first. ముందుపని ముందరచేయవలెను you must first do what is first wanted. దానిముందుమాటకేమి అర్థము what is the meaning of the preceding word? ముందువెనుకలుగా పోవుచుండిరి they were going along, some before, some behind. ర వంతైనా ముందువెనుక చూడక without considering causes or consequences. ముందుకు వెనుకకు backwards and forwards, to and fro. Postposition: Before. వారు రాకముందు before they come. ముందుపడు or ముందగు mundu-paḍu. v. n. To go before, to lead. ముందర or ముందల mundara. n. The front, ఎదురు. A former time, మునుపు. Beginning, మొదలు. adv. Before, in front. First, in the first instance. Formerly, previously. Hereafter, next, in future. After, following, next. అంతకుముందగ before that. ముందరి or ముందటి fronting, opposite, former, previous. ముందటి కాలమునందు in former times. ముందరిపోటు a wound in front. 'ముందరిపోటులుమానును ముందెందైననుగలదు.' Vēma. ముందరిమాట. lit. the word before, i.e., the following word; also, the preceding word. ముందరికి forwards. ముందర పల్లము వెనుక మిట్ట a ditch before, and a hill behind, i.e., to be in a fix, to be caught in the horns of a dilemma. ముందరికి తెచ్చు to bring forward, promote. ముందరికి వచ్చు to come to the front, to be promoted, to prosper. ముందల mundala. (ముందు + తల.) n. The front part of the head, శిరస్సు యొక్క ముందుభాగము. 'ధట్టించిముందలల్ బట్టియీడ్చి.' URK. iv. 112. ముందట mun-daṭa. adv. In front, before. ఎదుట.

(p. 1198) vihitamu vi-hitamu. [Skt.] adj. Ordered, prescribed, ordained, విధింపబడిన. Fit, proper, right, orderly, necessary. Friendly, intimate. Placed, deposited. Done, made. యుక్తమైన, అనుకూలమైన, ఉంచబడ్డ, చేయబడ్డ. వారిగ్రామములు దోచుట విహితముకాదని considering that it is not proper for use to plunder their villages. 'ఇమ్మహాభారతంబిమ్ముల బాయకవిహితావధానులైవినుచునుండువారికి.' M. I. i. 114. విహితము vi-hitamu. n. Friendship, intimacy. Propriety, fitness, justice. స్నేహము, యుక్తము, న్యాయము. అది విహితమే that is proper. అది విహితము కాదు that is not proper. విహితముగా vi-hitamu-gā. adv. In a friendly manner, on good terms, స్నేహముగా, అనుకూలముగా. విహితుడు vi-hituḍu. n. A friend, companion, ally. స్నేహితుడు, అనుకూలుడు. తమకు విహితులైనవారు those who are your friends.

(p. 1300) samamu samamu. [Skt.] adj. Like, alike, similar, same, equal, even, smooth, level. Impartial, free from passion, equable. సమానమైన, తుల్యమైన, సదృశమైన, అవిషమమైన, బేసికాని, మిట్టపల్లములేకుండా ఉండే. సమసంఖ్య a round or even sum. సమదృష్టిగలవాడు one who is equitable or impartial. n. Equality, evenness, తుల్యత, అవిషమత. A year, సంవత్సరము. 'అభూపతియేకషష్టిసమముల్ పూర్ణేందుబింబాస్యతోన్.' Vish. vi. 76. సమము చేయు samamu-chēyu. v. a. To level or equalise. మిట్ట పల్లములేక సరుదు, ఈడుచేయు. సమచతురస్రము sama-chatur-asramu. adj. Four square. చచ్చాకమైన. సమత or సమత్వము samata. n. Equality, similarity, sameness. తుల్యత, సమదర్శి sama-darṣi. n. One who regards all things alike, an impartial man. సర్వభూతములను సమముగా చూచువాడు. సమదృష్టి sama-dṛishṭi. n. An impartial attitude, considering all things alike. సర్వభూతములను సమముగా చూచుచూపు. సమపదము sama-padamu. n. Standing with the two legs on the same line, as an archer. విలుకాడు రెండుకాళ్లతో సమముగా నిలుచుట. సమరసము sama-rasamu. n. Equality, uniformity, Familiarity, fellowship. Kindness, amicableness, సమానరాగగము, సమాధానము. వారిప్పుడు సమరసముగా నున్నారు they are now on good terms. సమవర్తి sama-varti. n. One who treats all alike. అంతట సమముగా వర్తించువాడు. A name of Yama the King of Hell.యముడు. P. iv. 398. సమసుప్తి sama-supti. n. Lit. an equal or universal sleep. The end of a Kalpa or Age; the destruction of the world, యుగాంతము. 'సమసుప్తిబొందించిజగముల ద్రుంచి.' BD. v. 27. సమాంశములు sam-āmṣamulu. n. plu. Equality of parts, equal proportions, తుల్యభాగములు. సముడు samuḍu. n. He who resembles, సదృశుడు.
