(p. 157) udayamu udayamu. [Skt.] n. Birth. పుట్టుక. The rising of the sun or other heavenly bodies, the morning. ఉదయాన in the morning. ఉదయాద్రి udayādri. n. The eastern mountain behind which the sun is supposed to be born. ఉదయరాగము Morning carol. A particular sort of red silk. ఉదయించు udayinṭsu. v. a. To be born. To rise. To begin or originate, as a quarrel or an opinion. To arise or become celebrated. కుటిలబుద్ధి ఉదయించి crooked thoughts having arisen in the mind.

(p. 204) aimūla ai-mūla. [Tel. for అయిమూల] adj. Oblique, diagonal. Oblong and crooked. Rhomboidal. మూలవాటు. ఆ యిల్లు అయిమూలగానున్నది that house is crooked, not straight; ఆ యిల్లు అయిమూలనున్నది that house is in a corner.

(p. 212) oragālu ora-gālu. [Tel. ఒరగు+కాలు] n. A bent or crooked leg. ఒరిగినకాలు.

(p. 218) ōra ōra. [Tel.] n. The side, border, edge. అంచు. (p. 287) kuñce or కుంచియ kunche. [Tel.] n. A brush, a whisk; a carding instrument or teazle for wool, a chauri made of peacock's feathers. గుడ్డను కర్రకు కుంచెగా కట్టినాడు he fastened the cloth as a wisp on the pole. కుంచెకోల kunche-kōla. n. The crooked pole used in opening the gate of a pagaoda.

(p. 288) kuṇṭi kunṭi. [Tel.] adj. Lame, crooked. గాలికుంట్లు windgalls, rheumatism. కుంటితనము kunṭi-tanamu. n. Lameness, a crippled state. కుంటుkunṭu. n. Lameness, crookedness. (p. 291) kuṭilamu kuṭilamu. [Skt.] adj. Crooked, cross, illnatured. కుటిలకుంతల, or కుటిలాలక a girl with curly locks. కుటిలబుద్ధి a crooked disposition, hypocrisy. కుటిలత్వము kuṭilatvamu. n. Crookedness. కుటిలుడు kuṭiluḍa. n. A wicked man: a hypocrite.

(p. 312) koṅkara konkara. [Tel.] n. Bending. వంపు. కొంకరవంకర all twisted and twirled. కొంకరలుపోవు to become crooked.

(p. 313) koṅku konku. [Tel.] v. n. To be timid, alarmed: to fear, to dread, to hesitate. భయపడు, వెనుదీయు, సంకోచించు. n. Fear. Timidity, shyness. వెనుదీయుట. Hesitation. సంకోచము. (p. 345) g or గా ga. The adverbial sign, for కాన్ as తిన్నగా correctly, slowly, gently, వంకరగా crookedly. It is added to the Infinitive in A, as చేయగ or చేయగా, చూడగ. It is also added to nouns to give them an adverbial force. పుష్పములను నీకు సాయకంబులుగ జేసె he provided thee with flowers for arrows. నల్లగనున్నది it is black. గ stands for 'గజము a yard. In prosody గ denotes గురువు a long syllable, and గా or గగము is a spondee. గ also stands for గద్య prose. In music గ is the note called mi in European music.
