(p. 40) atimadhuramu ati-madhuramu. [Skt.] adj. Very delicious; delightful. నిండా రుచిగల, రమ్యమైన. అతిమధురము n. Liquorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra or the root of the Abrus precatorius which is used instead.

(p. 57) anumōdamu anu-mōdamu. [Skt.] n. Pleasure, delight. ఆనందము, ఉల్లాసము. అనుమోదించు v. n. To consent, agree, approve, to be pleased with. ఒప్పు, సంతోషించు.

(p. 118) āmōdiñcu ā-mōdinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be glad; to agree, concur with, assent, consent, సంతోషించు, సమ్మతించు. ఆమోదము āmōdamu. n. Sweetness, delight, joy. సంతోషము, సమ్మతము.

(p. 122) āru āru. [Tel.] v. n. To teem with, be full of నిండు; to be or have. సొంపారిన beautiful. ఇంపారిన delightful. నిండారుగానున్నది it is full. అలరారు blooming. చెన్నారిన lovely. పొల్పారిన charming (compare the affix ఆరి as నేర్పరి, సొంపరి, &c.) గోజారు to trouble. సొంపారు to bloom, to be pretty. In such phrases as నూరారు వెయ్యారు the word అరు is not the numeral six, but is a form of అరు to be full; so వెయ్యారు means full thousand and నూరారు full a hundred. నూరారుముద్దులు a full hundred kisses. చేతులారంగ శివుని పూజింపడేని if he sacrifice not to Siva with his own hands. చేతులార రూకలు చెల్లిస్తిని I paid the money with my own hands. పని ఆరుమూడు అయినది the work is all in confusion, at sixes and sevens.

(p. 124) ālavālamu āla-vālamu. [Skt.] n. A garden-bed; a basin for water round the trunk of a tree. పాదు మాధుర్యాలవాలము a paradise of delights, a sea of sweets.

(p. 160) unmēṣamu un-mēshamu. [Skt.] n. Opening blowing as a flower. వికాసము. నవనవోనేషముగా with increasing delight.

(p. 166) ubbu ubbu. [Tel.] n. Swelling ఉబ్బడము. సంతోషము. Haughtiness. ఉబ్బు v. n. To swell, be puffed up, to be delighted. ఉబ్బిన swollen or proud. నవ్వి కడుపు ఉబ్బినది he burst with laughter. 'ఉబ్బి చెలరేగి వసుదేవుడుత్సహించె.' (B. X.) he was overjoyed. అది నాకు దొరికినదని వానికి కడుపు ఉబ్బుచున్నది he is vexed at my obtaining this. కడుపుబ్బు suppression of urine, envy, spite, ఉబ్బున haughtily, fiercly. ఉబ్బించు ubbinṭsu. v. t. To inflate, to puff up with joy, to flatter. ఉబ్బు రోగము ubbu-rōgamu. n. Dropsy.

(p. 171) ullāsamu ullāsamu. [Skt.] n. Joy, delight, amusement. సంతోషము. ఉల్లాస పురుషుడు ullāsa-purushuḍu. A luxurious man or man of pleasure. A prodigal. ఉల్లాసి ullāsi. A cheerful man. ఉల్లసించువాడు. 'సమిదుల్లా సిధనంజయుండు.' T. iv. 136.

(p. 273) kāmiñcu kāminṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To desire, or long for. To like, delight in, love. కామితము kamitamu. adj. Desired: desirable. కామిని kāmini. n. A lustful woman. A woman.

(p. 345) khuṣī or కుషీ khushī. [H.] n. Pleasure, delight. ఇష్టము.
