(p. 6) aṅgīkariñcu angīkarinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To consent, agree, admit, approve, receive, accept. అంగీకారము [Skt.] n. Consent, admission, acceptance, approval, approbation. అర్ధాంగీకారము half consent, doubtful admission; being half in earnest. అంగీకృతము [Skt.] a. Agreed on, accepted, admitted. ఒప్పుకోబడిన.

(p. 84) ardhamu ardhamu. [Skt.] adj. Half; a moiety. సగము. అర్ధచంద్రుడు or అర్ధేందువు the crescent moon, a half moon. అర్థనారీశ్వరుడు the god Siva, in his form of half man and half woman. అర్థరాత్రి midnight. అర్ధాంగీకారము half permission, doubtful consent. అర్ధాక్షరము a half letter. A short petticoat. వేశ్యలు సగముతొడల దాకా తొడుగుకొనే చల్లడము, లాగు.

(p. 130) āspadamu āspadamu. [Skt.] n. Place, room, situation: basis, ground for a supposition. సందేహాస్పదమైన doubtful. వ్యాజ్యాస్పదమైన disputed.

(p. 137) ibbandi ibbandi. [Tel. ఇను+బంది] n. Strait, inconvenience, ambiguity. నిర్బంధము. తీర్థానికి ఇబ్బందిగానున్నది water is deficient or scarce. ఇబ్బందిగానుండే irksome. ఇబ్బంది పని a troublesome affiar. ఇబ్బందికాడు a troublesome fellow. Also, a mongrel tiger supposed to be begotten by a tiger on a leopard. ఇబ్బంది గుర్రము a horse of doubtful breed.

(p. 274) kārakamu kārakamu. [Skt.] adj. Making, causing. సందేహకారకమైన causing doubt or doubtful. సంతాపకారకమైన grievous. దుఃఖకారకమైన grievous, causing sorrow. కారకహేతువు the efficient or active cause. In Telugu it is used to denote heat. కారకజ్వరము a burning fever. కారకదేహము a hot or fervish temperament. మేహకారకము venereal feverishness. పిత్తకారకము bilious feverishness. కారకములు నాలుగువిధములు stimulants are of four sorts.

(p. 327) kōmaṭi kōmaṭi. [Tel.] n. A man of the merchant caste. A shopkeeper. adj. Belonging to the shopkeeper-caste. కోమటి మనిషి a man or woman of this caste. కోమటి చిన్నవాడు a shop boy. కోమటిసరుకులు wares. కోమటి సాక్ష్యము doubtful evidence, saying neither one thing nor another. See కన్యకాపురాణము.
