(p. 72) abhyasiñcu abhyasinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To excercise, practise, learn, study. అలవాటుచేయు, వాడుకచేయు, నేర్చుకొను. అభ్యసింపజేయు to cause to practise or learn అభ్యసితము abhyasitamu. [Skt.] adj. Practised, exercised, skilled. Learned, expert. అలవాటుపడిన, చెయ్యితిరిగిన, పనుపడిన, నేర్చుకోబడిన. అభ్యసనీయము abhyasanīyamu. n. That can be practised or learned. అభ్యాసము abhyāsamu. n. Practice, exercise, study, use. వాడుక, అలవాటు, అక్షరాభ్యాసము learning the alphabet. అభ్యాసం కూసు విద్య practice makes perfect.

(p. 88) alavaḍu ala-vaḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be accustomed, be practised in. To be mastered, అభ్యాసమగు, పరిచయమగు, సాధ్యమగు. 'బ్రహ్మలోక పర్యతంబున్ గల యవివరించి చూచి తినలవడదిది నీవెతెలుపు హంపబడౌజ.' H. ii. 67. 'వీనియందలవడగల్గదీ జలరుహాక్షులకుంబ్రియ మెవ్విధంబునన్.' Swa. vi. 74. అలవరించు or అలవరచు ala-varinṭsu. v. a. To make, celebrate. To put on. చేయు, ధరించు, పెట్టు. 'వేదోక్త పద్ధతి వెలయంగ యాగంబులలవరించిన సోమయాజులకును.' N. iv. 106. 'హరిచందనము పూతలందంబుగా మేననలవరించి.' N. ii. 425. అలవరుచు, అలవర్చు or అలవరించు v. a. To habituate, accustom, excercise, teach. వాడుకచేయు, అభ్యాసపరుచు, పనుపరుచు, నేర్పు. అలవాటు ala-vāṭu. n. Use, habit,custom, practice. వాడుక, అభ్యాసము. అలవాటుగా నుండే adj. Customary, usual. వాడుకైన.

(p. 104) astramu astramu. [Skt.] n. A weapon, a sword, a missile. ఆయుధము, బాణము, కత్తి కటారి మొదలైనవి. ఆగ్నేయాస్త్రము a fiery weapon, a weapon having the power of fire. నాగాస్త్రము a serpent weapon, having a serpent's power. అస్తకారుడు a maker of weapons. అస్త్రవిద్య military science. అస్త్రవృష్టి a shower of arrows. అస్త్రశిక్ష military excercise. అస్త్రాగారము an arsenal, an armoury. అస్త్రి astri. n. A bowman. విలుకాడు. అస్త్రజీవి astrajivi. n. A soldier. బంటు, సైనికుడు.

(p. 160) udyōgamu udyōgamu. [Skt.] n. An attempt, endeavour, undertaking; enterprise, exertion; activity. యత్నము. a profession, employment, occupation, calling, mission, office or situation; ఉద్యోగము చేయు to excercise an office. ఉద్యోగస్థుడు or ఉద్యోగి udyōgasthuḍu n. An officer, a functionary. ఉద్యోగించు udyōginṭsu. v. t. To undertake, set to do, to turn one's mind to: to apply oneself to యత్నించు.

(p. 1197) viharaṇamu vi-haraṇamu. [Skt.] n. Roaming, a ramble, excursion, a walk for pleasure or exercise. విహారము, సంచరించడము, పర్యటనము, పంభ్రమణము. విహరించు vi-harintsu. v.n. To take a walk or airing, to wander, to go about, to go about for pleasure or excercise, to roam, ramble, rove, సందరించు, పర్యటనముచేయు, పరిభ్రమణము చేయు. విహారముచేయు, తిరుగు. విహర్త vi-harta. n. One who takes a walk, a rambler, rover, విహరించువాడు.

(p. 1267) ṣikāri or షికారీ shikāri. [H.] n. Sporting, fowling, hunting, వేట. A huntsman, a fowler, వేటటకాడు. షికారు shikāru. n. An airing on foot or horseback, a walk or ride. షికారుకుపోవు to go out for excercise. షికారుకుపోయినాడు he is gone out for a walk or ride.
