(p. 67) abbu abbu. [Tel.] v. n. To come into one's enjoyment, possession, or reach; be obtained or gained. చిక్కు, దొరుకు, లభించు. ప్రాప్తించు. ఇది వీనికి అబ్బేసొమ్ము కాదు the luck is too good to last; that is, he is not worthy of such good fortune, and it will not stick by him. దీన్ని వానికి అబ్బనియ్యరు they will prevent his getting it.

(p. 503) taḍabaḍu taḍa-baḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be troubled or confused. To fail. తొట్టుపడు. To quiver చలించు. తడబాటు or తడమాటు taḍa-bāṭu. n. Confusion, irresolution, fluctuation, Fidgetting, fribbling. తడమాడేవాడు a trifler, a fribbler. తడపెట్టు or తడబరచు to confuse.

(p. 634) nayamu nayamu. [Tel.] n. Cheapness. Profit. లాభము. Smoothness. నునుపు, మృదుత్వము. Beauty. అందము. Welfare, ease, facility. Good health, soundness, safety. Convalescence, improvement. recovery. Kindness, civility. [Skt.] n. Virtue, morality. నీతి. నయములేదు it is no better. నయభయములమందలించి, or నయభయములుతోప by fair means or foul, by allurement or alarm, by rough or smooth methods. నయనష్టానికి for either profit or loss, for better or worse. నయమారగా civilly, kindly. ఇది వారికి దొరకడము నయము they were lucky in getting this. నీవు రావడము నయము it is well that you came. కొంచెము నయమయినది it is somewhat improved or better. నయమొప్పు duly, fitly, easily. adj. Smooth. నునుపైన. Soft, మృదువైన. Fine, అందమైన. Cheap, చవుకయైన. Well. easy, better in health, convalescent. Malleable, not brittle. High (as a note in music, as opposed to ఘనము or deep notes.) నయముగా nayamu-yā. adv. Easily, well, kindly, better, cheaply. నయముగానున్నది there is an improvement, it is better. వానికి నయముగానున్నది he is better or convalescent. నయగారము nayag-āramu. (నయము+కారము.) n. Smoothness, softness. మృదుత్వము. A soft word, మృదువచనము. నయగారి naya-gāri. n. A gentleman, a courteous man, మృదుత్వముగలవాడు. మృదువచనముగల వాడు. నయించు nayinṭsu. v. n. &a. To agree, to hold well together, as a paragraph. సందర్భించు. To cause to have, పొందించు.

(p. 1275) santānamu or సంతానవృక్షము santā-namu. [Skt.] n. The name of one of the trees of heaven. ఒక కల్పవృక్షము. సప్తసంతానములు:- Digging a tank (తటాకము) building a Brahmin village (అగ్రహారము), building a temple (దేవాలయము), making a garden (వనము), getting a poem written (ప్రబంధము), getting a son (పుత్రుడు), finding treasure (నిధి).

(p. 1279) sampādanamu sam-pādanamu. [Skt.] n. Acquisition, earning, getting, acquiring. అర్జనము, గడించుట, సంపాదించుట. సంపాదించు sampā-dinṭsu. (or vulgarly సంపాదించు) v. a. To procure, acquire, get, earn. గడించు, ఆర్జించు. సంపాదకుడు sampā-dakuḍu. n. One who earns, or acquires, సంపాదించువాడు. సంపాదితము sampā-ditamu. adj. That which is earned or acquired. సంపాద్యము sampādyamu. n. That which is fit to be earned, గడింపదగిన. Also, (colloquially) getting, acquiring, earning. సంపాసారి sampā-sāri. n. A merchant, వైశ్యుడు. 'ద్వి కోటికిబడగెత్తి కోరువస్తువులు, పాటించియొసగు సంపాసారులార.' హరిశ్చ. ii.

(p. 1320) sāgu or చాగు sāgu. [Tel.] v. n. To go on, proceed, get on, advance, continue, be current, be usual. To lengthen, to extend, as hot iron under the hammer. To take effect. To begin, నడుచు, జరుగు, దీర్ఘమగు, నిడుపగు, ఆరంభించు. n. A spit or iron lance, a short arrow thrown from the hand, అడుగున త్రాడుకట్టినకటారి, అలుగు వంటి ఆయుధవిశేషము. Cultivation, tillage. కృషి, వ్యవసాయము. దండుసాగుచుండగా when the army was marching. పని సాగలేదు the business does not go on or proceed. అతని మాట సాగలేదు his word did not take effect. కమ్మిపాగలేదు the wire could not be drawn out or lengthened. ఆ ఉత్సవము సాగుచున్నదా is the feast still kept up? దానికోరిక కొనసాగినది her wish is fulfilled. చెప్పసాగినది she went on to say. ఇది లేకుండా నాకు సాగదు I cannot get on without this. అక్కడ సాగకవస్తిని as I could not subsist there I came away. సాగుపాటు sāgu-pāṭu. n. Means of getting on, livelihood. జరుగుపాటు. సాగుబడి sāgu-baḍi. n. Cultivation. వ్యవసాయము. plu. సాగుబళ్లు. సాగగొట్టు sāga-goṭṭu. v. a. To hammer, out, extend or draw out (by heating a rod of iron, gold, etc.) పొడుగగునట్లుగా కొట్టు, సాగదీయు sāga-dīyu. v. a. To extend, stretch out, draw out, lengthen, పొడుగగునట్టుగా లాగు. To importune, మిక్కిలి ప్రార్థించు, బతిమాలుకొను. వాణ్ని ఎంత సాగదీసినా పోనన్నాడు however much I urged him he said he would not go. సాగనంపు sāga-n-ampu. v. a. To send away, to send one on, to set a traveller on his way, to convey or accompany one for a little distance. జపించు. సాగబడు or సాగిలబడు sāga-baḍu. v. n. To fall down at full length, flat or prostrate. సాష్టాంగపడు. 'సాగబడి మ్రొక్కిన శౌరికృ పార్ద్రచిత్తుడై.' Parij. v. 48. సాగించు sāginṭsu. v. a. To conduct, carry on (a business.) To celebrate (a feast.) జరుపు. కీళ్లుసాగించినారు they performed the swinging feast.
