(p. 36) aḍacipaḍu aḍichi-paḍu. [Tel.] n. To be in a hurry, to be impatient. త్వరపడు. మిడిసిపడు. 'దైవోపహతంబులగు కార్యంబులు సిద్ధింబొందునె యడిచిపడవలదు.' M. X. ii. 43. 'తడవోర్వక వ్యయమోర్వక కడువేగిరమడచిపడిన కార్యంబగునే.' Sumati. 27.

(p. 36) aḍicipāṭu aḍichi-pāṭu. [Tel.] n. Haste, hurry. త్వర, అతిత్వర.

(p. 81) arimuri ari-muri. [Tel.] adv. Much, exceedingly, greatly. Quickly, hastily. One after another, repeatedly. అత్యంతము, మిక్కిలి, త్వరగా, శ్రీఘ్రముగా, ఒకటివెంట నొకటి, మాటిమాటికి, ముందువెనుక. 'పౌరుషంబరిమురిగ్రాల పింగళకుడన్మృగరాజు చరించునచ్చటన్.' P. i. 107. అరిమురితనము ari-muri-tanamu. n. Haste, hurry. ఆత్రము. అరిమురిని in haste. ఆత్రపడి 'మరికదాశివునకు మాకునంకంబు, అరిమురితనమిప్పుడదియేలననుచు.' BD. iv. 1747. అరిమురిపడు ari-muri-paḍu. v. i. To hasten. సంభ్రమించు.

(p. 96) avasaramu avasaramu. [Skt.] n. Occasion, opportunity, వేళ, సమయము, కార్యోచిత సమయము. ఇది మూడో అవసరము this is the third time. 'చేరవచ్చు నయ్యవసరంబున,' T. iii. 39. అవసరము also means food offered as a meal to a god, or a kind of mantram said on the occasion. శ్రీరంగములో అరువై అవసరములు అరగింపు చేయుదురు they make an offering of sixty meals. Also necessity, urgency, hurry, flurry. అగత్యము, ఆతురము. అవసరమైనప్పుడు నిన్ని పిలిపించుకొంటాను I will send for you when necessary. అవసరము చేస్తే పని వెడిపోవును if you hurry the business will be spoiled. అది నాకు అవసరము లేదు. I have no occasion for this. అవసరము adj. Necessary, urgent, hurried, hasty. అగత్యమైన, అతురమైన, అవసరమైన పని urgent business. అవసరపడు avasara-paḍu. v. n. To hurry, to haste. అవసరముగా adv. Urgently, in haste. అగత్యముగా, ఆతురముగా, అవసరించు ava-sarinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To hurry, make haste. త్వరచేయు.

(p. 113) āturata or ఆతురము āturata. [Skt.] n. Hurry, eagerness, affection. ఆతురచిత్తయై being afflicted. గర్భాతురము famishing hunger. క్షుధాతురడై famishing with hunger. కామాతురుడై eager with lust. ఆతురపడు ātura-paḍu. v. n. To hurry or haste. ఆతురుడు āturuḍu. n. He who is eager.

(p. 127) āvēgamu ā-vēgamu. [Skt.] n. Haste, hurry, anger. తొట్రుపాటు.

(p. 152) uṭhāvuṭhi or హుఠా హుఠి uṭhā-huṭhi. [H.] n. Hastiness. అతిత్వర. ఉఠావుఠిపయనము a forced march. ఉఠావుఠిగా వచ్చి చేరిరి they arrived in a great hurry.

(p. 155) uttālamu uttālamu. [Skt.] adj. Long: formidable. ఉత్తాలవాలుడు he of the formidable sword. ఉత్తాలపడు to hurry, to be precipitate. తొట్రుపాటునొందు.

(p. 201) ēla ēla. [Tel.] n. A hurrah, or hoop. A carol or catch used by rowers of boats శృంగారపు పాట. 'ఏటికట్టగుడిసెవేతాం ఏరువస్తే కూడాపోదాం ఓ, ఓ, గొల్లభామా!' (The books named గరుడాచలము, ఆటభాగవతము, పారిజాతము, &c. contain many specimens of these carols.) Also, a chorus of applause. ఏలపాటలు a kind of play, a game played by children బాలక్రీడావిశేషము. (p. 219) ōla ōla. [Tel.] n. A cry, shout, hurrah! Bathing, playing in water. జలక్రీడ M. viii. iii. 112. ఓలగందము ōla-gandamu. n. Saffron that is smeared over the body while bathing పూతపసుపు.

(p. 325) kō kō. [Tel.] Iterj. Oh! oh! Alas, forbear. Huzza! hurrah!

(p. 365) gāli gāli. [Tel.] n. Wind, air, breeze. వాయువు. Scent మృగములదేహవాసన. A hound: because it follows the scent. గాలిగుడి gāli-guḍi. n. A halo round the sun or moon. పరివేషము. గాలిగాడు gāli-gāḍu. n. An ass; a fool. గాలిగుడ్డు gāli-guḍḍu. lit. A wind egg. A simpleton. Nothing, nonsense. గాలిగూళ్లు (from గూడు.) gāli-gūḷḷu. n. A mode of arranging sheaves so as to be aired. గాలిగొను gāli-gonu. v. n. To be aired. గాలిపారు. గాలిగోపురము gāli-gōpuramu. n. The dome over a temple gate: a steeple. The ornamented gate of a temple. గాలి చక్రము gāli-chakramu. n. A weather-cock. గాలిదిండి gālidinḍi. n. A snake. పాము. గాలినెచ్చెలి gāli-nechecheli. n. The friend of wind, i.e., fire. అగ్ని. గాలిపంట gāli-panṭa. n. A precarious crop. గాలిపటము or గాలిపడగ gāli-paṭamu. n. A paper kite. గాలిబిళ్లలు gāli-biḷḷalu. n. The disease called mumps. గాలిమండ or గాలిమందపశువులు gāli-manda. n. Cattle herded in the forest, which become half wild. గాలివాన gāli-vāna. n. A tempest, storm, hurricane. గాలితోడివాన, తుపాను, ఝంఝ.
