A wild species of the పాలచెట్టు, Periplocā Tunicata:. అజగంధీ, వటపత్రిక. కుక్కముల్లు kukka-mullu. n. An eruption like measles, miliary eruption or nettle rash. కుక్కమూతి పిందె kukka-mūti-pinde. A blasted fruit. A proverb says చెట్టుచెడేకాలానికి కుక్కమూతి పిందెలు పట్టుతవి producing blasted fruit is a mark that the tree will never thrive again. Metaphorically, wild behaviour portends ruin. కుక్కవావింట kukka-vāvinṭa. n. A plant called the Dog Mustard, Cleome viscosa. శ్వాసబర్బర.

(p. 422) cīkaṭi chīkaṭi. [Tel.] n. Darkness. అంధకారము. కనుచీకటి twilight. చీకటితో లేస్తిని I arose before dawn. చీకటిగాము. Rāhu. చీకటిగొంగ the sun. చీకటి adj. Dark, obscure, hidden, imperceptible. చీకటితప్పు a latent or hidden offence, i.e., adultery జారత్వము. చీకటి మొటికిళ్లు a certain game played by boys. చీకటిమ్రాకు chīkaṭi-mrāku. The tree called Exonthocymus pictorius. తమాలము. చీకటీగ chīkaṭtīga. n. Lit. the invisible fly. A small mosquito. చిన్నదోమ. చీజీకటి chī-jīkaṭi. n. The lighter twilight, as opposed to చిమ్మచీకటి.

(p. 509) tamālamu tamālamu. [Skt.] n. The Gloomy tree: Exanthocymus pictorius. (Roxb.) or Galedupa, చీకటిమ్రాను, కానుగు చెట్టు. As a colour, it means dark brown, or dusky, dun, or dark dull red. Dark hued.
