(p. 390) govaru govaru [Tel.] n. Heat. తాపము. గొవరుపోవు govaru-pōvu. v. n. To be parched. తపించు, ఎండిపోవు. 'గీ కొన్ని దేశంబులెండచే గొవరుపోయె' కాశీ. i.

A wooden stopple for a leathern bottle. A mound or heap. దిబ్బ, కుప్ప. Giddiness, thoughtlessness. భ్రమము. దిమ్మను dim-manu. v. n. To tingle, to turn giddy, to ring in the ears. దిమ్మరి dimmari (దిమ్ము+అరి.) n. A giddy fool. భ్రమకలవాడు, మత్తుకలవాడు, మత్తుకలది. దిమ్మరితనము dimmari-tanamu. n. Folly, giddiness. దిమ్మరీడు dimmar-īḍu. n. A giddy fool. మత్తుకలవాడు.

(p. 751) piṇḍi pinḍi. [Tel.] n. Flour. బియ్యములోనగు వాని పొడి. [Skt.] n. A multitude. సమూహము. వెన్నెల పిండి ఆరపోసినట్టుగానున్నది there is bright moonlight. తెలికపిండి a residue of sesamum seeds after the oil is extracted, oil-cake. ఈ మాట పిండికిని పడును పిడుగుకును పడును this is equivocal, it is neither chalk nor cheese. పిండిబలపము a whitish kind of slate stone. పిండిరాయి a soft kind of stone; also a mica or slate. బలపము, పిండిమిరియము a sauce made of herbs and chillies mixed with rice flour. పేలపిండి flour of parched grain. పిండికూర or పిండిబొద్దికూర pinḍi-kūra. n. A kind of vegetable. పిండిదొండ pinḍi-donḍa. n. The herb called Acrua lanata. (Watts.) H. iv. 12. పిండివంటలు pinḍi-vanṭalu. n. Pastry, cakes.

(p. 797) pēlālu, pēlagiṃzalu, pēlalu or ప్రేలలు pēlā-lu. [Tel.] n. Malted grain, fried grain, parched corn. పేలపిండి pēla-pinḍi. n. Flour made of parched grain. పరుల సొమ్మువానికి పేలపిండి he devours his neighbour's goods like a bit of bread.

(p. 797) pēlu or ప్రేలు pēlu. [Tel.] v. n. To swell out through heat, సెగచేత ఉబుకు. To break out in prickly heat, or any eruption. To be fried, to be parched. To gabble, brag, chatter, to talk nonsense. To fret. జ్వరము పేలిపడకాయుచున్నది the fever is burning hot. చిటచిటప్రేలు to crackle in roasting. 'వేల్పులెల్ల చిటచిటబ్రేలుచు చటచటబాసి.' BD. iv. 621. వానిముఖము చిటచిట పేలుచున్నది he is very peevish, వాని ముఖము ధుమధుమలాడుచున్నది. ప్రేలడము tattling. పేల్చు or పేలుచు pēlṭsu. To fry. Metaphorically, to grieve. Fruit, profit, use, advantage, benefit, a reward, result, consequence. దుస్స్వప్న ఫలము the fulfilment of a portentous dream. ఫలపడు phala-paḍu. v. n. To bear fruit, to avail, turn to good, turn out well. ఫలపరచు phala-paraṭsu. v. a. To make fruitful, to realize, to turn to profit, to use. ఫలపూరము phala-pūramu. n. Ripened, fruitful, profitable, advantageous. నా యత్నము ఫలితముకాలేదు my endeavour came to no good. n. Profit, fruit. ఫలితార్థము phalit-ārṭhamu. n. The ultimate import, purport, result, or point of a passage, the tendency as distinguished from the literal sense. ఫలినము phalinamu. n. A fruit tree. విద్యమాన ఫలవద్వృక్షము. G. iii.146. ఫలినీ phalinī. n. A tree called ప్రయంగువు, తరిగొర్రచెట్టు. ఫలోదయము phal-ōdayamu. Success, enjoyment, gain, profit; heaven, paradise, joy, happiness. ఫలోన్మఖము phal-ōnmukhamu. adj. Fruitful, effective, efficacious. అది యిప్పుడు ఫలోన్ముఖముగానున్నది it is now coming to good.

(p. 907) boṇaga or బొణిగె boṇaga. [Tel.] n. A small leather bottle filled with any liquid. సరుకుతోనున్న చిన్నసిద్దె. బొణిగెలు boṇigelu. plu. n. A kind of parched corn: a kind of cakes. కాయధాన్యములు, సెనగలు మొదలైనవి, పొట్టపోయు బద్దలుకానివి.

(p. 1015) mūta mūta. [Tel from మూయు.] n. Shutting, closing, covering, మూయుట. A cover, lid, top. A valve, any little door as that of a lantern. The cover or parchment of a drum. మూయునది. మూతపడు or మూతలుపడు mūta-paḍu. v. n. To be closed, మూసికొనిపోవు. అతని చెవులు మూతలుపడినవి his ears were stunned, his ears tingled. మూతపొడువు mūta-poḍuvu. n.
