A plough with bullocks complete. సర్వావయవములుగల నాగటికి ఎడ్లను పూనినది. అరకలుకట్టు to harness a team. అరకలువిప్పు to unyoke the cattle. ఒక యెద్దు చనిపోయినది, అరకసాగక తొందరగానున్నది I cannot carry on my ploughing well as one of my bullocks is dead. అరకట్టరక a plough with a pair of bullocks. విడిచికట్టరక a plough with a change of bullocks. అరకాడు ara-kāḍu. (from అరక+కాడు) n. A cultivator, a ryot.

(p. 85) arru arru. [Tel.] n. The neck. కంఠము, పశుజాతి, మెడపంపు, కుతిక, ఆపద, హాని. A sore on a bullock's neck occasioned by ploughing. ఆ యెద్దు యొక్క అర్రు కొట్టు కొనిపోయినది the bullock's neck is hurt (by the yoke.) 'అందని ఫలముల కర్రుచాపగనేల.' Kalahasti.

Two, both. ఇరుకెలకులు or ఇరుగడ both sides. ఇరుగోరు both shares, the whole, the gross crop. ఇరుచక్కి both sides. ఇరుచాళ్లదుక్కి a second ploughing. ఇరుతిగ or ఇత్తిగ six at dice: ఇరుతూము or ఇద్దుము two bushels. The final ల్లి is the sign of the honorific plural and is doubled on account of the preceding long vowel having been shortened. √ త = she who brings (into existence) or who brings food, &c., cf. తండ్రి.] n. A mother. కన్నతల్లి one's own mother, as opposed to సవతితల్లి a stepmother. In affectionate address తల్లీ 'my dear,' is used even to a daughter. adj. Maternal, parent. తల్లిపశువు the parent cow. తల్లియింటనున్నది she lives in her mother's home. Principal, great, chief, main. తల్లినర or తల్లియొర the parapet wall round a well. తల్లికాలవ the principal channel which supplies others. తల్లిగోడ the principal wall in a house. మీరే మాకు తల్లిదండ్రులు you are my father and mother, you are all in all to me. See under తలి. తల్లికొండ్ర talli-konḍra. The first furrow in ploughing మొదటి కొండ్ర. తల్లితల్లి talli-talli. n. A mother's mother, i.e., Lakshmi. తల్లినికనినతల్లి. A grandmother. తల్లివేరు talli-rēru. n. The fap root or principal parent root. ముఖ్యమైనవేరు.

(p. 531) tirumala tiru-mala. [Tel. తిరు+మల.) n. The sacred hill of Tirupati వెంకటాచలము. Any sacred hill. తిరుమలేశ tirumal-ēṣa. n. The Lord of Tirumala, a name employed in the chorus used by a poet who wrote a set of riddles: like this one; 'మూడుశిరములున్ను ముదమొప్పపదికాళ్లు గల్గు; తోకలురెండు కన్నులారు చెలగి కొమ్ములు నాల్గు చేతులు రెండయా, దీనిభావమేమి తిరుమలేశ.' The meaning of this is:--'a man ploughing with a pair of oxen.' See తిరు.

Wet ploughing. దమ్మునాగలి a plough used to work wet land. మడినీటుకట్టి దున్నేది. దమ్ముపలక. దమ్ముకొను dammu-konu. v. n. To become miry, or wet. అడుసగు, తడియు. దమ్ముకొన్న dammu-konna. adj. Moist. Empty, worthless. దమ్ముచేయు dammu-chēyu. v. n. To plough a field while wet. దమ్ముచేసినపొలము a field ploughed while wet, ఊడ్చుటకు సిద్ధము చేసినపొలము. దమ్ముపట్టు to hold the breath.
