(p. 223) kaṅgu kangu. [Tel.] n. A gold armlet of a wavy shape. బంగారుపోగుతో నంకగా నేర్పరచిన కన్ను. A shrill sound as of a bell when struck. కంగున kanguna. adv. Aloud, resoundingly as a bell. కంగుమును kangum-anu. v. n. To sound, echo as a bell.

(p. 274) kāramu kāramu. [Tel.] n. Pungency, hotness of taste: sauce. Salt earth used in bleaching cloth చవుడు. Tinder: being cloth dipped in saltpetre. A caudle for infants. Caustic, lunar caustic. కారము చచ్చినపొగాకు tobacco devoid of flavour. కారము చచ్చినసున్నము lime devoid of heat. కారముగలసున్నము sharp lime. adj. Pungent, hot to the taste. A particle added to a letter in naming it. Thus కకారము the letter K. An affix denoting, making or doing, thus: ఝణఝణత్కారము resounding, making a ringing sound.

(p. 366) giṅguru ginguru. [Tel.] adv. (Anuk. 'saying ging!') Aloud, resoundingly. గింగురుపరుచు to stun or deafen. 'తెగగింగురనబాపి దృష్టి సంధించి, తెగనేయుటయు.' HD. i. 621.

(p. 367) giḍigonu giḍi-gonu. [Tel.] v. n. To tighten, be tight or squeezed గిడిగొన్న చేతులతో with clasped hands. గిడిగొనగా tightly, aloud, resoundingly.

(p. 399) ghaṇṭa ghanṭa. [Skt.] n. A bell. గంట. ఘంటాపథము ghanṭa-pathamu. n. The king's high way; so called because resounding with elephants' bells. పదిబారలు వెడల్పుగల రాజమార్గము, బాట. ఘంటాపథముగా as clear as the day, openly ఘంటాపథముగా మాట్లాడుట to talk decisively or openly. cf. 'They shall say in all the high ways.' Amos. v. 16. ఘంటారవము ghanṭā-ravamu. n. Ringing: the sound of a bell. The plant crotolaria. W. గిలిగిచ్చచెట్టు.

(p. 793) peḷapeḷa , ఫెళఫెళ, పెళ్లు or పెళుక్కు peḷa-peḷa. [Tel. anuk.] n. The noise produced in breaking a thing suddenly. ఆ కొమ్మ పెళుక్కుని విరిగినది the bough broke with a crash. adv. Aloud, crashingly, echoingly, roaringly, creakingly, resoundingly. 'ఫెళఫెళవీరణాల్ ఫెళిఫెళివాయించి.' H. ii. 98. 'కొమ్మ ఫెళఫెళవిరిగెను.' Pal. 173. పెళపెళమను peḷapeḷa-m-anu. v. n. To crash. To make a rustling sound. అతడు ఆ దేశములో పెళపెళ లాడిస్తున్నాడు he is making a great uproar in the country. 'పెళపెళనెల్లెడ నురుముగ.' Padya. L. iv. 77.

(p. 856) pheḷapheḷa or పెళపెళ pheḷa-pheḷa. [Tel. anuk.] n. A crash or smash; an uproar. అతడు ఆ దేశములో ఫెళఫెళలాడిస్తున్నాడు he is making a great uproar in the country. adv. Aloud, crashingly, echoingly, roaringly, creakingly, resoundingly, 'ఫెళ ఫెళవీరణాలు ఫెళిఫెళివాయించి.' H. ii. 98. 'కొమ్మ ఫెళఫెళవిరిగెను.' Pal. 173. ఫెళఫెళమను pheḷa-pheḷa-m-anu. v. n. To crash.

(p. 996) mukharamu mukharamu. [Skt.] adj. Noisy, resounding, loud, uproarious. మ్రోగునది. ముఖరఝరి a roaring cataract. ముఖరాళులు humming bees. R. viii. 93. ముఖరుడు mukharuḍu. n. A jabberer. అక్కరలేని మాటలు ప్రేలువాడు.
