(p. 186) eḍḍena eḍḍena. [Tel.] n. A table or high seat on which the dinner service is kept భోజనపాత్రముల నుంచుకొనే ఎత్తెనపీఠము.

(p. 246) kamalamu kamalamu. [Skt.] n. The lotus, Nymphœa nelumboa, water-lily. తామర, ఎర్రతామర. Also, water నీరు. కమలదళము the petal of a lotus. కమలదళరూపము a rose pattern, a flower shape. కమలాకరము a tank abounding with the lotus. కమలాకారము heart shaped. కమలాప్తుడు kamal-āptuḍu. (from ఆప్త dear) n. The sun, because he is dear to the lotus, which expands as he rises. కమలాసనుడు kamal-āsanuḍu. (from ఆసన a seat.) n. The god Bramha, because the lotus is his throne. కమలాపండు kamalā-paṇḍu. [from Skt. కమలము water and Tel. పండు. lit. Juicy fruit.] n. The orange called a loose jacket. కమలలిని kamalini. n. A tank abounding with the lotus: the lotus itself.

(p. 263) kasaṭu kasaṭu. [Tel.] n. Sin. పాపము. Dirt. foulness or foul odour, a bad taste, a nauseating flavour. కసటుపోయిన seasoned, rectified, freed from an nauseating taste.

(p. 302) kūkuṇḍu kūkunḍu. [Tel. for కూర్చుండు.] v. n. To sit down, to be seated.

(p. 305) kūrcuṇḍu or కూరుచుండు kūrṭsunḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To sit, sit down, be seated. కూర్చుండబెట్టు kūrṭsunḍa-beṭṭu. v. a. To seat, make one sit down. కూర్చుండబడు to sit కూర్చుండు. 'గీ. ఇంత పాఫంబు చేయంగ నెత్తికొందు, రయ్యరాజ్యలోభంబున నఖిలబంధు, జనులవధియింప దొడతినని రథంబు, మీదగూర్చుండబడియె జేయూదికొనుచు.' భార. భీష్మ. i.

(p. 355) gadde or గద్దియ gadde. [Tel.] n. A high seat. ఉన్నతపీఠము; a throne సింహాసనము. An obsolete coin వరహా. గద్దెపొంకము gadde-ponkamu. n. Eulogy. పరువునకు తగిన గౌరవపు మాట.

(p. 442) capparamu or చప్రము ṭsapparamu. [Tel.] n. A frame. చట్టము. A canopy, a thatched roof, a shed, a covered seat in which a god is carried about: the tilt of a cot, canopy of a bed, the roof of a bower. పందిరి, గుడారము. ద్రాక్షచప్పరము a trellice of vines. చలువచప్పరకోళ్లమంచము a bed of state. (T. iii. 131.) i.e., a bed, with tester and pillars.

(p. 414) cittamu chittamu. [Skt.] n. The mind or intellect; the heart, considered as the seat of intellect: inclination, will, pleasure. మీచిత్తము (or simply చిత్తము) your pleasure! as you please! yes, sir! చిత్తానకు తేవలెను be so good as to consider this. ప్రవేశము చిత్తగించలవెను pray acknowledge the receipt of this letter. చిత్తానుసారముగా according to one's own pleasure or as one see fit. చిత్తగించు chitta-ginṭsu. v. a. To listen, grant attention keep or retain in mind, attend to, mind, note, observe, remark, examine, investigate. మనస్కరించు. To think, తలచు; to hear a prayer, to consider యోచించు. At the close of a letter the words చిత్తగించవలెను. 'Please to consider this' are equivalent to the phrase ('I remain, &c') అట్లు చిత్తగించినాడు he came to this decision (used of a superior.) చిత్తగించవలెను I beg you to or, do me the favor to. చిత్తచాంచల్యము chitta-chānchalyamu. n. Aberration of the intellect. Insanity. చిత్తచాంచల్యము chitta-vṛitti. n. Temper, wish, inclination, disposition. Will, pleasure, determination. చిత్రుడు and చిత్తురాలు chittuḍu. adj. Minded. This is used in compound phrases, thus: సంతోషచిత్తుడు a cheerful man. క్రూరచిత్తులై cruel-hearted. శాంతచిత్తుడు a gentle character.
