(p. 18) akasmāttugā akasmāttu-gā. [Skt.] adv. By chance, suddenly, unexpectedly. హటాత్తుగా, without a why or wherefore.

(p. 148) uṇḍu uṇḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be, exist, live. 2. To reside, dwell. 3. To remain, stop, stay. 4. To last, endure, continue. 5. To keep still, stay quiet; 6. To wait. To stand over, remain as a surplus. ఉండిపోవు, శేషించు. 7. To have. నాకు భార్య ఉండగా as I have a wife. 'కనకము ఉన్నవాడు' he who possesses gold. -- 8. To keep a feast. విజయదశమి ఉండినారు they kept the Vijaya Dasami feast. ఉన్న మాట యిది this is the fact. ఉన్నరూపు the true form, the reality. నేను అక్కడ పది దినములుంటిని I remained there ten days, వాడు (ఇంట్లో) ఉన్నాడా is he at home? మీ తండ్రి బాగా ఉన్నాడా is your father well? ఉన్నట్టుండి suddenly, just as they were. ఉన్నారు they are; రేపుదాక ఉంటారా will they remain till to-morrow? అక్కడ ఉన్నారా are they there?

(p. 199) ēmaru or ఏమరిల్లు ēmaru. [Tel.] v. n. To be off one's guard. To blunder, be deceived. To fall into a trap, or overlook a fact ప్రమాదపడు. ఏమరించు ēmarinṭsu. v. t. To make one forget himself. To ensnare, delude, entrap, as in an ambush. మోసపుచ్చు. ఏమరిక or ఏమరుపాటు ēmarika. n. Oversight, heedlessness, inadvertence, ఏమరుపాటున inadvertently, suddenly. ఆకస్మాత్తుగా. ఏమరుచు or ఏమార్చు ēmaruṭsu. v. t. To trick, delude. ఏమరజేయు.

(p. 206) okkaṭi Same as ఒకటి. (q. v.) ఒక్కటను all at once: suddenly ఏకముగా, అకస్మాత్తుగా.

(p. 213) oragu or ఒరుగు oragu. [Tel.] v. n. To lean, bend, bow down, slant, be inclined, recline or lie down, to be weighed down, as scales. వంగు, వాలు. ఒరగి crouching, hiding. పడవ ఒరిగెను the boat leant on one side. ఒరిగి పడినాడు he tumbled down. మిన్నొరిగినట్లు crashingly, suddenly, as though the skies were falling, ఆ లెక్కను నామీద నొరగదోసినాడు he got that debt charged against me. ఒరగు n. Crookedness వంపు. ఒరగు, ఒరగుదిండు, ఒరగుడుదిండు, or ఒరగుబిళ్ల a cushion or large pillow to lean against. adj. Crooked వంపైన. ఒరగుపోవు or ఒరగబడు Same as ఒరగు. q.v.

(p. 266) kākamu kākamu. [Skt.] n. A crow. కాకతాళీయము kāka-tāḷīyamu. n. Chance, casualty, accident. 'Like the crow and the palm fruit'--a phrase denoting coincidence (అవితర్కితసంభవము): as a palm fruit falling just when a crow has alighted: కాకతాళీయమైన sudden, opportune, unexpected. కాకతాళీయపత్ or కాకతాళీయ న్యాయముగా suddenly, casually, accidentally.

(p. 305) kūlu kūlu. [Tel.] v. n. To fall. పడు. To die చచ్చు. కూలనూకు kūla-nūku. v. a. To knock down. కూలబడు kūla-baḍu. v. n. To fall, to fall down suddenly (a comic word for sitting down.) కూలవేయు kūla-vēyu. v. a. To make one fall, to make one sit down suddenly. కూలుచు or కూల్చు kūluṭsu. v. t. To knock down kill, overthrow, ruin.

(p. 336) krēvuna or కెవ్వున krēvuna. [Tel.] adv. Shriekingly, suddenly aloud. అకస్మాత్తుగా, బిగ్గిరగా.

(p. 366) giṃzukonu ginzu-konu. [Tel.] v. n. To twitch: to pull suddenly. To writhe, struggle, wallow in pain. గిం౛ుపడిన distressed. in anguish.

(p. 368) girukkuna girukkuna. [Tel.] adv. Round and round: whisking. గిరుక్కున తిరిగెను or గిరుక్కున మళ్లెను he turned suddenly.

(p. 378) gubbu gubbu. [Tel.] n. The beating of the heart. గుండె అదరుట. గుబ్బున suddenly, all at once, swiftly. 'గుబ్బునబడుశిరము గునిసెడుశిరము' BD. vi. 99. గుబ్బుమను or గుబ్బురను or గుబ్బుగుబ్బురను gubbu-m-anu. v. n. To beat as the heart. గుండె అదరు.

(p. 412) ciṭālu chiṭālu. [Tel.] n. Suddenness. చిటాలుమని suddenly, with a bounce.

(p. 422) civuku chivuku. [Tel.] v. n. To rot, to be damaged, weakened, wasted or spoilt. సారహీనమగు. To pine with grief or sorrow. చివికిన rotten, damaged, శిధిలమైన, కుళ్లిన; pining కలతనొందిన. చివుకు n. Corruption, spoiling, rotting. Pining మనస్సుకలత నొందడము. చివుక్కు chivukku. adv. Impetuously, rampantly, briskly, with agility. చివుక్కున at once, suddenly. చివుక్కురుమను to be confused or agitated in mind మనస్సుకలుగు.

(p. 450) cuvaka or చువ్వ ṭsuvaka. [Tel.] n. A twig, a switch, a supple cane, a withe, a slender arrow, the stick of a rocket, a shaft, a slip of wood. గాలపుచువ్వ a fishing rod. చువ్వచువ్వ ఆడుతుంది it throbs painfully, severely, smartly. చువ్వున ṭsuvvu-na. adv. At once, suddenly.
