No. 230. రామచిలక. The Rose-ringed Paroquet, Palaeornis torquatus (so called because taught to reiterate the name of Rāma.) అకుచిలక the Western Blossom-headed Paroquet, Palacornis cyanōecphalus. The name is given to some insects, as a moth, thus, ఆకుచిలక, వడ్లచిలక a moth. గడ్డిచిలక, సీతాకోకచిలక a butterfly. A padlock. The bolt or hasp of a door, because these originally had parrot's heads on them. చిలుకల కొలికి a bright-eyed girl or woman. చక్కని స్త్రీ. చిలకకూర or చిలకతోటకూర chilaka-kūra. n. A kind of pot-herb, Amarantus fasciatus. (Watts.) చిలక, చిలకట or చిలుకడ chilaka. n. A saddle buckle: a ring at the end of the rope used as a girth of the bullock saddle through which the other end is passed to fasten the saddle. కొలికిముడి. చిలకడతాడు chilakada-tāḍu. n. A gold buckle in the form of a pair of parrots. చిలుకదుదుడి chilaka-duduḍi. n. The name of a certain tree. చిలకపచ్చ chilaka-paṭsṭsa. n. Bright green, parrot green. చిలకమొక్క or చిలకముక్కు chilaka-mokka. n. (lit. Parrot's bill.) A plant called crotolaria. శుకాననము, శుకనాస. Heyne, 130. (p. 906) boṭṭu boṭṭu. [Tel.] n. A drop. A sectarian mark on the forehead, white, yellow, black or scarlet, long or round. A gold spangle or patch in general. The gold piece attached to the marriage cord. (మంగళసూత్రము.) A three-pie piece. The grammatical sunna or circlet, representing N. or M. నిలువుబొట్టు or సోగబొట్టు the upright line or streak in the forehead which denotes the Vaishṇava sect. అడ్డబొట్టు the cross mark which denotes the Saivites. తాళిబొట్టు the sign of marriage, being a bit of gold tied on the bride's throat. బొట్టుకట్టు to tie the తాలిబొట్టు,i.e., to marry. గట్టిబొట్టు full sunna. నేతిబొట్టు a little ghee. 'తిరుపతి కొప్పులమదముగదీర్చిన బూడిదెబొట్టు, మంచిదేర్పరచినమించునట్టి రుదురాక్కల పేరులు.' S. iii. 99. ఎక్కడ ఉన్నా సరిగా బొట్టు పెట్టినట్టు చిక్కుచున్నది wherever it is, he finds it in a moment. బొట్టుదారము boṭṭu-dāramu. n. The string round the neck from which the tāli is suspended, మంగళసూత్రము.

'ధమనియుశ్రావణంబు మొలత్రాసునుపట్టెడ నీరుకారు' H. ii. 200. దిసమొల or మొండిమొల starknakedness, utter nudity. మొలకట్టు mola-kaṭṭu. n. A girdle or waist-band. నడుముకు కట్టుకొనేత్రాడు, మొలమాలు. A waist cloth, కట్టుకోక. మొలకత్తి mola-katti. n. A dagger, బాకు. మొలకులికి or మొలకొలికి mola-kuliki. n. A kind of grain, ధాన్యవిశేషము. మొలతాడు mola-tāḍu. n.
